So true
I can confirm

You should try 5 ones too
Trap beats, technical prog metal guitar overlay, heavily vaporwave aesthetic
Say what you want about them, but these guys are fucking unique.
Djent vapor wave aesthetic trap-core
Other: Modern shred aesthetic
I get math-rock vibes more than anything else.
I'd also say math-rock based guitar riffs in a way more groovy and funky way.
I’ve been looking for a sound like this for years. I’m so glad I found this band
Polyphia is its own genre for sure haha
holy fuck. this song is gigantic.
thanks man! I've been jamming Polyphia for years.

agreed.
MTG and Polyphia!
how big is it?
I feel like this song is so underrated
NiceGuy This band as a whole is criminally underrated imo. But within the fan base, I agree for sure.
this song is the worst
@@Crabcore1 omg why make dat pun xD
vantageous2 you are absolutely right
Honestly I think that inside the polyphia fanbase its kind of overrated:/ its just that Im tired of hearing it every time polyphia get mentioned. This song and goat are a perfect example for how good songs can become annoying when overplayed

@@korewakireji3595 Yeah bro I was actually laughing so hard at it lol.
Ok so i've heard every song once so far from the EP and I've got to say, this is a sound i've never heard before. It's hip hop instrumentals with the progressive technical guitar work that i grew to love playing scales and melodies from hip hop choruses.
I'm really digging how bands are starting to branch out and experiment with different sounds such as this. Brings unique influences and potential all around. I'm going through a big shift in life right now and this EP will probably be my anthem to summer 2017. Thank you!!
Hansol never heard before except for the chon album that came out a month earlier
I wish their guitar technique would be more varied. They have the same sound from album to album, I wish they would've picked up more metal technique from JR on the recent tour they were on. I'd like to hear more evolved guitar tones and techniques from them. THey're still some of the best technicians in the genre though!
Hansol it's probably because Ty Acord produced the album and he has a well established sound of his own in hip hop/ electronic, considering his contribution to Issues music is completely outstanding. He's perfect for Polyphia's latest vision of music. So glad they collaborated. Such talented dudes.
+theelfofwisdom they have a metal album
this I know.
This song. God.I just cant even describe how this song makes me feel. There really aren't words. Hands down one of my favorites, if not my favorite.
Gives me that stank face every time.
This song is just euphoric

@@xsquall19x you're objectively wrong as the comment said to date and yas came out after this song, but you still make a good point as yas is better
I actually really dig the electronic implementation. Better than any of your previous releases in my humble opinion. Smart marketing move calling it The Most Hated in anticipation of previous fans getting all pissed off you stopped djenting. So long as you shred and keep it creative, I'm happy as a fan.
Kyle Bishop man the electronic stuff just compliments their style of playing
Kyle Bishop i agree but I don't think they'd djented for a while, just a thought
True, they haven't officially dj0nted in a grip. Still, the point remains that their base seems to get more and more pissed the further they stray into new territories.
Kyle Bishop release more numbers stuff.
Brenden Ginn -- yes sir. 🤘
If this is The Wost, I cant even imagine how good The Best is
Some amazing guitarists sound like they're wrecking their guitars with monster shreds, Tim Henson make it sounds like he's making the smoothest love to it that anyone has dared to do.
Look up Michael Hedges--he does this for acoustic guitar. It's a shame he's super dead, but he was freaking amazing.
how is it possible to be this good at guitar and mixing at the same time. dang
I'm sure they're not mixing their own stuff anymore.
@@creatorofdragon still to this day do. They're very particular about their mixing. It's very important to their sound.
Are we going to ignore 2:00-2:10?! That quick bass line was naughty

Every famous version of "Little Wing" got trapped deep in the earth under tons and tons of pressure for years and years, and crystallized into this absolute DIAMOND.
I'm so glad someone else heard the SRV / Little Wing vibe
exactly! I always think of Little Wing when I hear this
Seeing you say this finally makes it make sense. I def hear it. And its prob why i so deeply love this song. Little wing (hendrix in the west version) is probably my favorite single recording of any song ever.
Jimi Hendrix would be proud to hear this, I feel like.
Agreed

Musicians like Tim Henson have appeared throughout time periodically, if people like Mozart were brought about today instead; it might sound something like this. No matter what genre you might be into you have to appreciate talent where it's due. These guys are ahead of their time.
he was great with the muppets
@@anthonydavella8350 😂
Same as Hanz Zimmer; a modern day Beethoven.
You say Tim Henson, yet end with "they". It's not just Tim (or one individual) that makes music great. Learn from this.
Comparing these guys to Mozart is wild
If someone asked me to decide between G.O.A.T and this, I just couldn't
I can't choose between this, goat, rich kids, nightmare, amour, yas and so many on. These guys fucking shred

*proceeds to make one of the most trippy, vapor wave music videos ever*
Thank you based Polyphia
I love that they make the hook easy to play so you notice it with its simplicity, while the "verses" are so unbelievably insane that you just overlook them because you know they're practically impossible to play. Try to bang them out and put the song at half speed. I bet you all the money I have that you'll give up in 10 minutes of just looking at the intro. Love you, Polyphia.
An example of this is euphoria. The hook is fucking easy that you'd thought that you can play the song but it turns out you cant
Too true.
I've settled with just learning a riff from each song I like. The intro to Goose, the riff in this song, Scott's outro riff in Icronic etc,
So many nice riffs you can choose from, and they're essentially like learning a normal song each.
I’ve been playing guitar for about 13 years self taught and all. I recently discovered Polyphia. New levels new devils and some of these songs or most from this EP really represent what I’ve been wanting to do on guitar. Mixing beats and hip hop with advanced shredding techniques. I’m glad they made this, I’ll be working I what exactly they do to make my own versions. POLYPHIA IS NOW A GENRE!!!!
You're right, Polyphia is a whole genre by itself. And yes I do believe that you'll achieve your dreams one day. Keep shredding man 👊
Same here lol been playing 11 years self taught and discovered them tonight. I want to play stuff like this too.
I ain't a woman, but I think I just became pregnant.
This is 2018 dude.
You don't need to be a woman to get pregnant anymore!!
Lots of Pop Tarts does a similar job 😂
I'm so happy everyone also feels how sexy this is.
You identify as pregnant.
pregananant
i dreamed of playing like this
This is one of the most underrated songs on the album you cant change my mind
Everyone talks about how skilled these guys are, but a neglected part of their music is the simple feelings it can convey. From this song, I get the feeling of a person, who everybody hates for being different. But that person just doesnt give a fuck about others. He is living his life, he isnt bothering others. So be it.
1:47 is where he's just like. "screw it, let things be as they want to be and imma be who i want to be"
This is the worst, the most hated music they've released.
Just kidding, this EP is LIT
Hayes lmao punny
I heard people say that they chose to use that as the title of the song and EP respectively because this is where they deviated from their usual djent/prog style and added a bunch of hip hop influences. They thought a lot of djent/prog purists would be upset so they chose to call it that.
😅
@@adrianvelante8014 it's obvious that they did it on porpuse, this was their most controversial work at the time

That song is what you call a show closer. I've only recently started listening to this band and I'm blown away by them and their sound.
Guys i think I listened to this song like 1 million times and played it by myself like 5 thousand, honestly for me this is THE song, it's just too beautiful, sometimes when i play the first verse of it i just get stuck in a loop and i could go on forever, IT'S JUST PERFECT, AND MAN THE ENDING PART GOES HARD AF.
me too dude, this song is ironically the worst but by far my fave. the grooves just hit so hard.
it's honestly their best song
This is literally the song that got me into polyphia. This and transcend

This song is simultaneously is 3/4 time and 4/4 time. Mind officially blown!
So Hendrix, yet so unique. These guys actually created something new.
I've listened to this too many times.
this is what i normally sing on karaoke nights
Fuck that guitar tone is nasty. Henson and LePage are one of the best guitar duos of this century.
This song to me is the soundtrack of someone who was mistreated somewhere, so they left and bettered themselves beyond what they thought was possible.
My favourite on the EP. It keeps playing in my head early in the morning.
Such an underrated band in an underrated genre of music. These guys are such a unique collection of talent. Big fan of all of their material
