Your doing a great job kid, Tape of the area you want to caulk, apply caulk and shape with your finger, then remove tape for a nice clean line. It didn't look bad for a freehand job though

Nice catch on centering on the bolt line, I don't think I would have thought of that. Now off to install my window!
Why not draw the template out on the exterior wall ?
80 grit sand paper works great for deburring the edge of the aluminum.

I enjoy your videos. Any water incursion since install? I ask because I've heard water can come in between top and bottom pane.
Thanks for watching! I haven't had any issues. When I'm camping, some condensation will accumulate at the bottom track, but that's nothing a quick wipe with a towel can't solve.
How secure are the windows? I want a travel trailer so bad but worried about someone breaking in.
Just as secure as anything else? Someone would have a tough time trying to break the window to get in. Thanks for watching

Quickly searched your vids and you may have addressed it but what did you use on your walls? Almost looks like LVP?

@@seabass3104 more expensive but you get better r value per inch. Just make sure you plan stuff in advance because after you spray it's difficult to go back! Thanks for watching and good luck with your build!

The window I purchased says it's made for 1 1/2" thick wall. When you added the frame it seems that yours must be a lot deeper than what mine is calling for??
Mine is also for 1-1/2" wall, just double check the finished thickness with a measuring tape. I ended up making mine slightly thicker than 1-1/2" because I wanted it to "sandwich" the layers tight. Thanks for watching!

@@JoelTremblayCA also I noticed some of the videos show people cutting through the studs. Will that diminish the Integrity of the trailer and is there a way to re-enforce it?
@@lovingjesus5184 yes, anytime you cut through structural components you have to reinforce it. Typically, you would add a "header" or "lintel" above the opening to span between the next two vertical studs.

I would have dropped the window a little bit more to offer strength at the top. You dont have much there
There's ton of strength at the top as that's where the top plate for the actual trailer stud wall is.
this would be better without music. This music is awful
