As a furry, we are people who likes anthromorphic animals. Anyone with common sense and basic decency don't act like this. This is just fucking weird. In private do whatever you please but in public respect the fact that you aren't the only person in the room. This is absurd. It's shameful and disgusting. These people are ruining the community.
The community is full of people sexually into animals. I have frequently witnessed this more than any other community that's supposedly normal. The "community" is already ruined.
I AGREE!!! I don't have a fursuit, but I have anthro Persona, who is put human/rat from novel in the works., Her father is a rat and mother is human.
I love rats!!! And sometimes I will dress up as low key cosplay as her in public, but I get shamed by people for wearing my fake rat ears. When did nothing wrong. Its on head band, that covers my real ears. But I never pull anyone in my self larp...I just go on with my life, if someone says "Oh I love your outfit" I say thank you. but I think if someone wants be in full fur-suite go shopping, I say they can..Just act normal. I know its hard given what your dress as.,..but lot of highly autsic use it as a protective blanket ..but when you start larp randomly with random people...THAT IS WHEN IT GET "MAIN CHARACTER SYNDROME" and your being creepy

As much as I love furry art n stuff but this kinda stuff needs to be behind closed doors it shouldn’t be in schools or at work or at anything were people r doing something important…furrys need to stick in there own domain like fur cons or something related.

Yep, all of my furry (and therian) friends and I draw the line at the therians wearing masks and playing animal at home and conventions/meets, not schools.

Im a therian and have NEVER EVER worn my gear at school or public places, I care about mine and the other peoples safety, the only time I wear my gear is at a park when no one is there.

I live near this school. The kids are not lying. It is a huge issue all across the board. The kids are being assaulted and harassed. Our family friend who has been a teacher of 30+ years has said she sees kids coming to class all the time in masks dressed as furries. Even had a boy dressed as a fairy in her class. The kids are fed up and just want to live normal lives

As a furry I apologize for some furry videos like that pig girl i don't think she is a furry and I find that disguising... Also not all furries are bad and most furries hate zoophilia because its disgusting! Most furries that are good just enjoy their lives of learning more abt animals and trying to find out secrets about animals. Also making charcters and being happy making them into a real character that will exist. Also cosplaying is the most common way to express yourself so thats why furries cosplay.

But just like for general information, this isn't meant to change anyone's oppinion or to advertise furries/therians. I just want to clear up the difference between furries and therians.
Furries:
A person interested in anthropomorphic animals (animals with human traits). And ofc they are interested in them in a hobby way, it has nothing to do with any fetishes, roleplays or just in genderal the adult stuf. A furry is just someone who is interested in those characters and makes art of them (fursuits, fan-art, videos, etc.)
Therian:
A person who has a belief they are an animal on a non-physical level (mentally or spiritually) and experience involantruly (sorry I can't spell fr-) animalistic urges.
Quadrobist:
A person who engages in the sport "quadrobics" which is basically walking, running and performing jumps/stunts on all fours. And ik that this aspect of the so-called "furry/therian" community is very uhm- ye, controversial, but yeah.
(Excuses if I didn't explain somthing about quadrobics/therians wrong, I am not a therian myself so I can't know for sure.
And this is not meant to be any hate, and is just meant to clarify some stuff to make sure there is no misinformation here.)

hi, i'm a furry myself, and the only thing i can say is that those children are insane. one thing is dressing up for an event or for fun like a cosplayer would do, in a place where is apropriated for. other thing is doing what these guys did. the best comparasion i can make is like those crazy anime fans acting like L or some another character in the middle of a school.

No, they're okay with this. i'm a furry as well so i'm more than qualified to talk about how ridiculous furries are getting.
I’m a furry, but I don’t really interact with others or watch “furry” content (mostly because I don’t really use any other social media besides CZcams). Anyways, I hate that fact that these kinds of furries exist and are the ones who are the loudest 😭 I promise there are normal furries even tho it sounds unbelievable. I literally just draw cutesy animals that stand on their legs (and I despise nsfw art)
Yeah it's crazy. From my experience the vast majority of furries are awesome people, they just have a different hobby. Admittedly I'm impressed by those furry costume, those costumes upwards of 10k sometimes.
Anyway with many communities that are seen as 'unusual' it's often the young teens who don't understand the real world or boundaries or whatever it may be that tend to ruin it for everyone else, it's not the kids' fault, but the parents. There's a real lack of parents teaching boundaries and kids missing out on what's socially acceptable to do, especially after the pandemic.
And of course there's the occasional adults who do something weird publicly in regards to said community or interest that manages to give the rest of them a bad rap. Overall it's just the people who are the loudest that tend to be the worst.
Same sort of thing happened to the My Little Pony adult fans/collectors community around a decade ago which was sad to see, the people in that community were some of the kindest I've ever met, but one guy with a jar ruined it.
As someone with a bit of a strange hobby (collecting dolls, cosplay of said dolls) i really, really hope nobody weird pops up in our community because it would be genuinely heartbreaking to get hated on for collecting dolls I've had since I was a kid.
I should mention though that to some extent pretending to be animals is normal kid behaviour but due to the labeling obsession, they think they're furries.
I've seen a few comments talking about how middle school kids are hissing at each other. This has always happened, it was particularly bad around the time Warriorcats came out, also really big amongst kids who played Animal Jam. It's harmless, but there's creepy people trying to label them as furries for it when they're just kids having fun, and since they're young, they believe it and take the label.
I am a furry but I don't really interact with the community. I don't like that kids are biting and supposedly wanting litter boxes... I just want funny anthropomorphic animals...

As a therian, I agree that we should not wear gear or stuff at school. Unless it is a day that you can dress however they want. The therians and or furries at this school that apparently use litter boxes must be bad ones. If you have had a bad experience with a therian or furry, blame the person, not the fandom. Don't associate the entire community with one person just because you have a bad experience, both do not have much disruptive behavior. It sounds like you just didn't encourage it, which modern parents do for some reason. Kids don't act like animals then IDENTIFY as animals unless they're encouraged to.

In my middle school there was this girl named Jay who was a “furry” or whatever and there were like two other kids who were weird degenerates and we bullied the shit out of them. We bullied Jay so bad that she stopped wearing the ears after ONE DAY and no one ever talked to her except for her weird little furry friends. We’d bark at them in the hallways when they would get bold enough to wear some type of stupid bullshit. I live in the southeast and stuff like that does NOT happen here, we bully those weirdos.

@@jktech2117 BDSM-outfits technically are themselves sfw as well, but it's still something that's supposed to be relatively private. Sure, adult-only areas, fine, but not just generally public. The thing is that you make the public side look all cute and innocent, while in reality it is just a kink. My sister in law works in the public school system and i just told about the furry problem. Kids dress up as animals and when you try to talk to them they refuse to speak and either bark or purr at you. One kid was on all fours and would lift his leg up on school furniture pretending to pee and mark his territory. These problems in my opinion start at home. Parents are not doing there job

As a furry, i am disappointed what the future of the fandom has. Most people screw up furries with basically everything, (zoophiles, catgenders, therians ect.) but now all that’s just becoming one big blur. Being a furry is a hobby. I went to a Halloween event where the costumes where really involved years ago & I was in tears 🫣 I would not go to school if this was going on! (replying to edit) i haven't done a large amount of research but I've heard that the litter box thing came from the chance of there being really bad lockdowns, meaning students would have to hide in a room for a long time and not being able to go to the bathroom(this indeed has happened before). and there was a thing suggesting litter boxes should/could be implemented in case if a situation like that happens ever. but because of it being a 'litter box' people are blaming furries and associating them with the idea

I've seen buckets being used as make-shift toilets, and in isolation cells they often have a type of cardboard potty. Never have I seen a litter box for humans though.

Unfortunately the reasoning for this rumour was always pretty nasty. It started as a longshot way of mocking and making rumours about kids who didn't want to use normal bathrooms because they had some sort of special illness or had special circumstances which made them want to use the school office bathrooms instead.
My daughter had this happen to her years ago, she had to change schools because the other kids spread a rumour that she wanted to use a litterbox because she was asking to use the school office bathrooms which she was allowed to do.
She had recently got an Ostomy bag that she had to empty and was too scared to empty it with other students around, teachers tried to stop the rumours but they couldn't.

Another one kept asking people if they wanna chat, then try NSFW RP. He did that to me & I told him that was not appropriate & most other users were kids. He proceeded to do the same thing. I felt uncomfortable but just ignored it. I did 1 more drawing & they started to pressure me into drawing the stomach. I purposely draw it only slightly bigger when they'd ask, so they'd eventually get tired and stop.
After drawing that, they went on to say they shared my art with their best friend & they loved it (which was nice). But after, asked me to draw them & their friend's oc (in their words) "squishing b00bs".. I refused, & they reworded it as "belly squish", but I knew they just wanted it to sound different. I stopped responding after
Back over on amino months later, they said they wanted to give me A-coins (the in-app currency) because they liked an artwork I made. I said yes, then they proceeded to tell me they wanted 10+ commissions and what specifically to draw. They gave me 800 coins then purposely made to sound like the wanted nothing in return. I could've gave them back and refused to draw, but I felt like that would be rude and did them anyway. Again, they did that weird love-bombing stuff in between progress updates and I ignored them. They sent me a graphic NSFW ref sheet of their oc. I told them next time to censor it out. They did some mental gymnastics, claiming the "body parts" weren't what they looked like & were really this & that.. They really went there.. I was just fed up & responded making it clear I wasn't amused & not to pull that stunt again. I think I did 2 drawings at that point, then proceeded to purposely rush through the rest. They then immediately asked me to do more. I blocked them
Outside of amino, I saw a few furries posting about 1nc3st, p3d0philia & Z00philia pride. I thought they were joking, but they made a lot of posts like these & defended it with their lives
I also had a couple of *sort of* friends that said weird things. One sent a DM asking "why do people st4b". That was the 1st DM I ever got from them. I assumed they were having a mental episode (& amino shows everyone that you're online so I couldn't ignore them and respond later). I tried to comfort them & they started roleplaying. They always talked in this "cwutesy wootsie UwU language". I couldn't tell if this was an adult acting like a baby or another kid acting like one. Either way, I think they were an agere. Once in a blue moon, they'd say things like "boops your butt" & I'd ignore them. I didn't wanna go through the same thing again
Another one I roleplayed with kept trying to make it romantic & I'd try to switch the theme back. After a point, I think he understood I didn't see him that way. I think he was about my age but I find it a little funny looking back
And another one (who was clearly a grown man), would always invite me to aminos he made. It was a little weird, since I didn't really speak that much to him. Not this is important, but he looked exactly like Peter Griffin. I can't even remember his username. I just called him that in my mind. Long story short, I eventually got bullied on an amino by another mod & left. Looking back, I'm kinda glad since that guy seemed a little off & may or may not have planned to do something to me
And *another one*, constantly asked me detailed questions about me & where I live. He'd ask how many restaurants & cinemas are in my town & for photos of it. He'd come to me everyday doing that. He was friendly but super creepy. I told him half lies & eventually ignored him. I wouldn't be shocked if he's still stalking me

I hate to to tell you this, but I think the part of the community that is _not_ like that is just deluding themselves. It is at its core a fetish community. Some people may be attracted to it because of the cuteness or aesthetics, but that's not what it primarily is about. That's a bit like going to a stripclub because you enjoy poledancing. I mean, sure, go ahead, but don't be surprised by what you encounter.
Every fandom has a pedo/grooming problem, even irl. It's present in so many ways that we don't really realize it's fucked up. Just like drugs, religion, or other crap.

This is absolutely ridiculous. First of all there's a difference between furries, who are largely a cosplay community, versus therians which are oftentimes confused with furries, who are people that believe they are animals.

Society has a problem, it's called letting children run households, period. I see it with my stepdaughter, and it's just pathetic. The kids call all the shots. The parents ask the kids what the plan is on just about everything. So the parents are broke, drive the kids around to eighteen activities, "can't get ahead", the house is a mess, repairs and maintenance are a joke, the kids have bad attitudes and are unhappy (of course they are unhappy, you need discipline and structure to be happy).
Just sounds like you're the irresponsible one if you're not breaking the cycle. Also what does that have to do with anything in the video?
@@barkinboyy I married a woman late in life, who has an adult daughter, who then had children.
Keep in mind as someone not even really considered to be the stepdad, there is a severe limit on how far into that dynamic I can reach without alienating everyone.
I do what I can, for example, when the grandkids are with me, I require they meet standards of behavior.
As you could imagine, the grandkids actually prefer spending time with me over quite a bit else in their lives. Kids actually want order, they react well to discipline (as long as it is not combined with cruelty, it has to be done with love and compassion).
To your last point: parents who let their children indulge in psychotic delusions are not parenting. They are being enabler friends at best.
