In this video I wanted to show you how to do that but then the party got crashed by someone who was more expert than me at drinking the sweet juice of the Gods. After that it all went to shit...

I really loved the tribute to Tony Bourdain at the end. I miss that man as if he were family. He was a role model to me through my early 20s. But seriously Bald, what you are doing is carrying on that legacy but even more raw and personal than anyone with a TV crew and cameras could ever get. It's an amazing contribution to the world and a huge step in bringing people together and helping to understand how many good people there really are out there.

Young ppl leave, the ones who stay are the old, hard-working, poor, set in their ways type of folks but boy do I respect them and the HARD ass work it takes for them to remain and keep their legacies and that of the ppl, culture, village etc going. I grew up in that area, near the Pripyat river. I was about 10-11 years old when Chernobyl happened. I remember that the local government paid so called "death" money/ compensation to people that lived in the affected areas, and also gave coupons for a free bottle of vodka. It was believed back then that Vodka helped with removing radiation. Who knows, maybe it's true after all... My childhood friends from that area are all doing well and healthy, had healthy kids, and the elderly lived their regular live terms. Maybe a glass of vodka a day keeps the doctor away, not an apple - lol

Many liquidators died including my husbands grandfather, many have permenant health issues or have children born with health problems like my cousin. USSR gave vodka and money to liquidators like tossing cheap entertainment for sheeps to make them happy, obedient and clean up Chernobyl without questions asked. Vodka doesn't help against radiation, maybe only in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games.

Being older, travel is difficult for me. I do enjoy watching your videos, especially the ones about Russia. As a child in the 50's and 60's we were taught to hate Russians. Seeing your travels shows me that they are people just like us and I don't think they hate anyone. Your kind and jovial attitude with the people is wonderful and refreshing. Your knowledge of language is impressive. Keep up the good work. You have one more subscriber.
Mr. Bald covers everything in a nice digestible way with a lot of humor, but that covers maybe 20% of the reality. Bald wants to make money and he will show what gives him the most subs. I am a native western European and live in rural Russia since more then a decade and the real Russian/Belorussian life is not at all that nice and funny. Russia/Belorussia are probably the most fastly dying out nations on the planet and its not anyone elses but their own fault.
