Two Bulls In Two Days | 2019 Montana Post Rut Elk (Ep. 2)

- After Beau shooting a giant bull the day before, the crew is in high spirits. Corey Jacobsen and Donnie Drake of Elk 101 finally made their way to camp to join the party.
When the sun rises, however, they realize the fog is making it nearly impossible to glass. A plan is hatched to split up. Corey and Donnie will head one way, while Beau, Matt, Adam and Marcus will head off to retrieve Beau’s bull with the llamas while Randy holds down the fort and glasses.
Once Beau’s bull is loaded into the llama panniers, again the group splits with Matt and Marcus continuing up the mountain. Cresting through the mountain pass, they are rewarded with amazing views with the fog hanging low in the valleys.
Picking spots between layers of fog, Matt eventually glasses a group of bulls miles away. They drop down into the fog and make a plan to stalk the bulls.
They play it safe waiting for the thermals and the sun to be perfect before cresting the ridge that puts them within rifle range of the bulls. Before long the bulls start filing out of the trees... they're in range... they're broadside... Matt is prone and ready...

Love the series. Beau is a generous homeboy. Good crew!
Looks like fun camp and with Beau waiting on everyone hand and foot, packing their Elk, etc.... I'm jealous!
Best series of videos (Ep. 1 & 2) you've done, imho. Thanks for sharing.
Man oh man. Love it when I wake up and am surprised by these videos. It’s like Christmas morning all year😉thanks for sharing guys😁
320 yards like it was standing next to you!!! Awesome shot. The beauty you’re amongst almost makes just being out there, well worth the trip. Getting to bag a trophy bull must be the best icing ever, to top the cake! You guys know how to live!
I haven't been at an elk hunt but it is on my bucket list, when I plan the trip I am reaching out to you Randy and I hope to God that you will take me with you.
Great series, congrats Beau and Matt! Can't wait to see what Cory, Donnie and Randy have in store for us.
Congrats on a nice bull Marcus,
Nice spot and stalk! Beautiful bull. Great shooting as well. Congrats Matt. Beau served up some wonderful food again. Life in elk camp!
What a way to end a wonderful xmas eve...sitting by a warm fire on one side and a beautiful tree with way too many presents for my 4 kiddos on the other...watching my favorite group of guys getting after it!! Would only be better if I would have been there! Congrats on a great couple elk and Merry Christmas!!

2 bulls back to back!! Now that's some good hunting! Maybe I should tag along with you guys since you know where the elk are at! Lol That's awesome guys great job, thank you again for the wonderful videos.
Congratulations on the hunting so far.
Legends hunting together awesome
I like it someone who competent and comfortable enough to chamber a round while hunting
SheerWill Survival he wasn’t, he held the round down so it didn’t chamber when he put the bolt in.
Ted Ryan lame
Ted Ryan in looking again ted it looks like he slid a round in chamber and held other rounds down in floorplate magazine then checked safety
Thanks! I Like to have the extra shot so put one in and keep the magazine full at same time. I don't even remember chambering after the shot it's second nature, but it seems I like to do it quick!
Matt Seidel excellent that made me decide to get onx maps will be getting it this year 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Good job boys
Love the public land hunt videos. Id rather watch these videos even though the bulls are smaller (The one shot in this video) than a typical "trophy bull", these hunts are much better in my opinion.
Merry Christmas Eve to everyone at Fresh Tracks Productions, Destination Elk/Elk 101, Beau Baty and family, and other guests, along with everyone viewing this sweet video this morning. Congrats to Matt on an awesome bull that he got to pick out of a bachelor HERD of nice bull elk. He and Marcus didn't disappoint and did what they said that they were going to do. Nothing beats a fresh or day old kill meal like that elk tenderloin and Idaho potato meal that Beau whipped up. We did something similar with the grouse that I, my Dad and brother shot in Idaho. Cooked them up on a jetboil burner with some seasonings, then put sliced potatoes and onions in the same pan after the grouse was done. Then put them in a tortilla wrap with some cheese and some ketchup or hot sauce on top. Yum.
Great hunt
Those llamas are adorable
God is good wat a special time on the mountain!!
Great hunt Matt, awesome looking bull congratulations. I hope to get to do that someday.
Thanks!
I love it
Awesome
Marcus is the man.
10 bulls feeding together? Damn.
Congratulations nice bull
Now this series of hunts is something else...will Randy get a cow elk down on the ground? Come back to see...lol.
Wow!
How many shots? I recall a claim of will need only one. LOL Actually, I think that first shot would've gotten the job done. Fine bull, congrats. Love seein' those llamas having the sweat. And you KNOW they get extra treats when they're done sweating.
Randy? Did you suffer a little Montezuma's revenge on your trip to Mexico? Got a drink with ice in it, did ya?
Good to see collaboration with Corey and Donnie.
If the animal is still standing take another shot that's what randy says all the time but I agree
How about a shelter for the llamas even just a tarp for a roof
Have a Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas to you all !
Beau, what type of Canvas tents do you have there and the sizes ?
Merry Christmas eve! Not related to this video Randy but wondering how the newly declared White Sands National Park will affect hunting in the park? Grateful for another national park but hoping that public land hunting will still be allowed.
Did everyone check to make sure Corey didn't put any rocks in their packs this time?
Buddy Beau Baty Butchers Beautiful Bull is the title of this episide
I’m greeeenn with envy....
Have a great Christmas everyone
I have to ask. What do you do with all the meat you harvest? You must have three freezers full.
We eat it. And, I share a lot of it with employees, family, friends, neighbors.
@@Fresh_Tracks I think I need to move down the street or start cleaning the toilets. Lol
Hi randy, I follow you from Portland Oregon. I wish to go in a elk hunt with just to have the pleasure to be next to a professional hunter... as well to be Able to wear some of those unique Sitka gear....
I cannot even imagine a day like that. Where I live, you could hunt your whole life and not see 11 branch bulls period none the less all in one group.
What is the favorite elk camp cartridge??????
Nice video! Hey, I got disoriented when the film switched from one group of camo'ed hunters to another. Could you just use a simple transition, say, a diagonal wipe, an iris-in and -out, or a slower fade to black and in, instead of the hard cut? Yes, I know, the European directors love their hard cuts . . .
bruh what
This edit stays with Matt the whole day... I never cut to another group of hunters the whole time??? Also, I'm not sure if any director still uses wipe or iris transitions anymore outside of cheesy CZcams videos ;)
Is that a Kifaru gunbearer? Thought you were a Mystery Ranch guy?
Congrats to Matt! What rifle holder was he using by the way. Hung under his right arm off his pack. Looked super convenient. Let me know if you can! Thank you
It's the Kifaru Gun Bearer, very handy.
@@mattseidel5645 nice! Thanks Matt! And great job
The Mexican jail makes a better story than I need bran flakes every morning.
The story is retold at this podcast link - www.stitcher.com/podcast/hunt-talk-radio-randy-newberg-unfiltered-hunting-conservation/e/58296045
You guys should call Beau "Big Bull Beau"

Was randy really in mexican jail?
Yup. www.stitcher.com/podcast/hunt-talk-radio-randy-newberg-unfiltered-hunting-conservation/e/58296045
Why were you in Mexican jail
A Mexican jail. Tell us more.
In one of his older hunting videos he alluded how he ran afoul with the law enforcement south of the border and not gonna forget it anytime soon , sounds like.
He did a podcast about his experience
