I did this, my car looks amazing Since I started with chemical guys. I have already won several awards at car shows. I'm still watching and learning. Thankyou.
Hey there! VSS is more aggressive than V38, it would fall in line between V34 and V36 but it diminishes to a final polish making it great for a one-step paint correction.
So I'm awaiting shipment of my Chemical Guy's Ceramic line, which comes with the Hydro Slick, Hydro Suds, and Clay bar. How much am I missing out on if I just wash, clay, and ceramic coat without the polish? My wife is going to kill me if I tell her I need to pick up more products. Lol
Hi John! Polishing is recommended before applying ceramic especially when the vehicle has noticeable swirls and scratches however it is not a mandatory step.
I have a 27 year old truck and I’m trying to restore the bumpers are chrome and I was wanting to know what I could do to polish it and get all of the scratches out of it what is the best product for that
Hey Jonathan! Depending on the condition of the paintwork, you may want to start with V36 Cutting Polish and an Orange Hex-Logic Pad to remove swirls and scratches. Use Heavy Metal Polish to restore chrome to a mirror-like gloss.

Can you apply any glaze/sealant or wax over hydro slick? Or is that kinda overkill? 😂
Hey there! Absolutely, applying glaze, sealant and/or wax will provided added protection and shine on top of ceramic.
@@ChemicalGuys Which glaze would you recommend for a car this same color?
Would you polish the whole truck and then ceramic coat the whole truck..or would u polish a section then ceramic that section and move onto the next?
Hi Jaime! It is best to complete the polishing step before applying coatings.
Can I take my truck can you guys help me pick up the best products to buff it up
Do you need to throw out the towels and applicators you used to apply hydro slick?
Hi Kristen! HydroSlick will begin to harden microfiber goods so unless it is washed immediately it will need to be replaced.
Is VSS more harsh than the V38? Would that have been ok to use in this situation?

Chemical Guys
after VSS would v38 be beneficial ?
can you layer hydro slick? ie double application at once?
Hey! Absolutely, apply multiple coats for added protection.
Chemical Guys
3 hours dry time between coats ?
Is it possible to polish by hand? I sadly do not have the means or place to use the buffer machine. Thank you
Hey Victor! Yes, it is possible to polish by hand however you will achieve the best results with a machine polisher.
Any harm in using V38 with a black pad or would a white pad a minimum to achieve the most out of the product?
Hey! Achieve the best results when using V38 by pairing it with a White Hex-Logic Pad.
What could I use to protect the chrome parts of my car?
Hey there! Apply a coat of HydroSlick to lock in shine and repel harsh elements.
@@ChemicalGuys alrighty then I'll add it to my bucket list👍
Can v38 remove very light swirls
Hey! V38 is a final polish that has very little cutting power however it will refine light imperfections such as marring and holograms.
