+Nigredo I'm surprised you didn't use a mouse sander or a orbital sander....they would've reduced the dremel and hand sanding work a tonne. I use it all the time, it sand through body filler like crazy.
+Fagdalf The Gay Yes! my dad gave me an orbital for xmas that year and now I use it very often with the dremel aswell, but more for flat or big surfaces like swords

After you did the resin and fiber glass on the inside did you put bondo over it?
Do you have the pepakura/program file that you used to make the paper mock up? The one i built was terribly made and turned out looking slopy. Your cardstock model looks amazing.

May I ask what stuff did you use ? Was looking to do something similar :)
First you find a pepakura model, you print it out on cardstock, connect it using glue, then you want to put one layer of polyester resin on the inside, when that dres you want to put one on the outside, then give one more to the inside and start putting fiberglass, check out tutorials on youtube how to use polyester resin and fiberglass, when that dries give one or two more coats t the outside, when that dries apply car body filler, then san it down, apply body filler again and sand and so on and so on, you want to get suer smooth surface, when that is done you just need to paint it, spray paint, acrylic aints, arbrush... for black line thats above the eyes and the ears use thin foam, and for the mouth thing do the same, paint everything, gove t couple coats of crystal clear spray paint and you are done, but before you start painting the helmet you need to spray primer, you are welcome

Dunno how to translate right but is a polyester putty. Used for fix scratchs in cars or boats ;)

what types of putty/filler did you use
+john smith You can use spackle, i.e. drywall putty. But you need to seal it properly. I use Bondo because it creates a nicer finish but requires significantly more work on the sanding end.
