- eFX helmet modified with motorcycle padding, external audio pickups, wireless "trooper" amp system, fan, and more. This is my first of hopefully many videos of some of the projects I have done and plan to do in my spare time. Hope you enjoy!
DYI tutorial of this mod can be found on my website here:
mynocksden.com/projects/stormt... - Zábava
You basically just made a real Storm Trooper helmet dude! Fuckin epic!!!
I will honestly pay you to modify a helmet for me!
This is what the real stormtrooper helmet would be like! Great job!!!!
ER9 Stopmotions give or take a few parts, the helmets in the lore have a full hud and targeting system
BaronVonPanzer yea true
I'm currently designing a much much simplified version of the external amps system as a kit that will install in minutes. Totally removable with no extensive modifications needed to the helmet. Just plug and play, so to speak: only earpads with built-in speakers, and amps enclosed in a plastic housing vacuum formed to fit the helmet flare tube without being in the way. It will be glorious!
9 years later.... any update? this project is still amazing
keen for an update also!
Same. Waiting.
Rename the video: How to make an actual Stormtrooper Helmet.
REALLY SERIOUSLY 8 dislikes!!! You did an awesome job! Configuring the comfort and sound amplification I want to do something similar for my Boba Fett helmet.
+Warlord2029 No kidding! :)
19 dislikes!!!!!!!!!
Received most of the components I need to design a plug 'n play kit. Will keep u posted.
I feel like this is how an actual stormtrooper helmet would look. I would love to see you customize a kylo ren or darth Vader helmet
Now all we need is air filter and an lcd screen in the eye socket
For 2012 the editing is legendary
good god you went all-out on that! Now I just need to figure out how to do this.....
I watched this video when I was like 7. Time flies by
You put way too much effort into this and I love it.
Nice build, I totally enjoy electronics projects such as this and I found this to be a pretty clean build. I think adding the stereo sound inside is a killer idea!
Excellent job. Getting my Helmet today. Can't wait! I'm going to do your mods to my helmet. Hope I can chime in on a little direction.
This is amazing! I'm getting armor within the next 2 months, and im from Arizona, so things like the fan would be very useful. All these mic and sound modifications are genius and just really cool!
Dude, that's amazing. So much work and so much comfort. Nicely done!
That is awesome. Your attention to detail is amazing, well done. I wish I had that helmet
Wow! Great job on the helmet and the video presentation! I put a video up of a traveling exhibit that had a movie worn costume. One of these days I'll get a costume : I remember they sold the helmet replicas in the 70's/early 80's in Sci-Fi magazines. I should break those ads out.
FINALLY! Someone's got it right! Nice Mod Bro
killer...you have obviously nailed this build. i so wish i had this kit
One of the best storm trooper vids I've seen. I love how you've added depth to make it so real. Did you do a build vid as well?
Really helpful, going to be using some of these features in my Neo Crusader kit.
Well done my friend... Well done.
This is awesome! Great job! The video and the helmet looks and sounds great. Well done.
I now know what I'm doing this summer as a project to improve my eFX helmet
really loved this video, and as soon as i get my helmet plan on doing similiar modifications
Nice, so, have you done it?
Incredible video! Thank you so much for the in-depth detail!
Great video. I'm planning on doing something similar to my custom mando helmet and I got multiple good tips from this!
You are one badass dude. I'll happily subscribe. I just bought myself a New Hope version of the helmet and am looking to add a microphone since I'm planning on cosplaying as a comedy variant of a Stormtrooper. (Tourist trooper, janitor trooper, chef trooper, etc.), so in this case, all I needed was the helmet and not the armor, since I'm too tubby to fit into a set anyways. This will help a lot!
That is extremely awsome! Wish I could get my hands on a helmet like this!
Just completed a DYI tutorial of this mod on my website (see link under the video). Video tutorial summarizing it all to follow.
Great! Thanks! I hope I will have time ti put all this things in my T45d helmet!
omg I'd legit pay you to mod a Mandalorian costume with this! So awesome!
I went to an furniture upholsterer and he gave loads of offcuts for free of various thicknesses. You need a disc in the top of the helmet and the thinness of this depends on how high the helmet needs to sit.
Love the video and love the work you put in your helmet.
I take your work as inspiration for my mando bucket, but already figured out, that those have quite less space to put electronics in (the trooper helmet bulges at the bottom are sure a nice place to put electronics in).
What interests me, is how much electronics you put in your SW:ToR Mando helmet.
Keep up the awesome work, vod!
That's a pretty good storm trooper helmet how cool is that. That's my dream.
Great job! Now, it's even much more valueable than before!
Thanks for sharing your awesome modifications to your helmet. Let me know if you can do a plug and play for a biker scout helmet!
Excellent work! Thanks for sharing.
This is very cool looking, I am really going to rig my Tie helmet like this.
Absolutely astonishing
Love your way of making videos!!
Wow! That is awesome! Thanks for sharing your advice and tips!
ah thats so good, well done, id love this helmet with these mods.
Excellent work.
Brilliant work. Well done !!
Trying to figure out how to do a similar thing to a Mandalorian(Deathwatch/Journeyman protector) helmet. Great content wonderful project. Very helpful!
Great work, man.
This is amazing!! Nice work!
Great Video! I am getting my own eFX Stormtrooper bucket tomorrow, and want to do basically what you did. Can you tell me which specific parts you used, like the microphones for your ears and such? Also I'd like to know how you wired it all behind the padding. Just over all a little more detail, so i may make an awesome helmet mod like you did. Again, wonderful video!
Amazing work!
Amazing ! Great job, well done, it is very impressive !
Great job, pal!
WOW amazing work love it 👍👍👍👍
dude u deserve way more than 1500 subs :)
You can then you can cover the foam with a stretchy type cloth if you want like Lycra or even very thick lady's tights and then use Velcro to fix so you can remove should you want to ever wash them. hope that helps out.
awesome vid dude i wish i could have one like that !
This will actually be good for my cosplay, not as a Stormtrooper, but as a NCR Ranger
I might have to use some of these things in my Mando helmet.
For a very detailed photo of the wiring for the external amplification system, check out the link in the description
"These are the explanations we're looking for."
You are an actual genius. You should really design attachments that you can sell!
Nicely done. Thank you much😊
Then I have a thin band that runs across the top of the eyes. Then to parts of foam that tend to be thinker than the rest at the sides that go just above the ears and finally one band at the back of the head where your head is the biggest. If you need you can also place another thinker part of foam just under this. Its a matter of trial and error and I temporarily fix them in and when I have all the position and thicknesses right.
Great work!
This is magic! Good job! :D
Sweet! Great job.
Finally a realistic storm trooper helmet.
Okay. This isn't my cup of tea, but very cool! Well done. Love it.
Absolutely love it!
Amazing and thanks for posting!
This is so cool, i just need it
Great job!
I need to do something for my Boba fett helmet. help?
Take my money! I would gladly pay for this, even just the parts!
Very nice. already have electronics in my Mandalorian Buy'ce but some of your ideas are really cool and i think i will try them in my next Buyce Project. But what is missing in yours - what my friends and i have in our costumes is a walkie-talkie in the helmet. so we can comunicate while we troop from one part of the con to another. just saying^^ Greetings from Germany
Thanks for sharing! That was too cool
Very good job.
Awesome bro!
This is awesome!!
Very impressive.
Amazing job. Thank u for posting this ;)
That sounds really awesome at 5:04. I wonder if the same thing can also be possibly done with a Darth Vader helmet too. except it wouldn't sound exactly just like the fan's voice, it would sound exactly just like James Earl Jones's Darth Vader voice and the breathing sound so that no one will be able to hear the fan's own voice and breathing sound. if that kind of programing can possible that is. Mynock's Den should also do the same to the Anovos First Order Stormtrooper helmet too.
Do you have a tutorial for the full project (ie including the motorcycle helwet inlay and trooper amp)?
Cheers
That's one bad ass helmet!!!!
hi. love the helmet setup. do you reckon there will be a kylo ren setup eventually available? I love my ren helmet but I find the speaker microphone set up weak. the voice weak too.
many thanks
I would love a kit. Though more information would be nice, like cost and shipping expenses. Are you able to produce one soon, say, by next week?
This is amazing, I wish I had one
Can you list all the board you got to make this happen? I am going to try the same set up with the microphone amplifier with the headphones. I thought that was the coolest thing! I just want to make sure I am ordering the correct stuff. Thanks in advance!
feels so old. I haven't heard the store Radio shack for a long time
Отличный проект, очень интересно и круто.
Great project, very intresting and cool.
hey, can I ask what mics u used behind the brow trim? fantastic job btw
Would that all fit in the new Hasboro Black series.
You should sell this mod.
WOW!! i really need this for my helmet.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHH !!!!!!
Wow, amazing bro.
Hat is amazing
you sir are badass
is there a uk equivalent to the Electret Microphone Amplifier you used? Even something from China off ebay would be great as Canan Kits don't ship to the UK.
My God I love this!
