Our clan is in the middle of running a bingo. While there is no buy-in, how can I guarantee that the person who has put up the pot hasn't done RWT (or anyone who contributes to it). A stand-up player who abides by the rules will get punished by those who may not. Therefore, someone will potentially get punished for coincidentally being in a clan with bad apples despite having no way to verify that their clannies are legitimate. On top of it, Jagex has a (disfunctional) automated system for appealing bans if you are lucky enough to have an appeal option - and since most people are not streamers with access to JMods or have public platforms to voice their case, they have to resort to pleading on forums like Reddit. This basically means Jagex has carte blanche to ban legitimate players who are unlucky even if they don't do anything wrong with having no way to contest it or talk about it with a moderator.
Get it together, please, or I'll look elsewhere for my gaming. I assume many others will do the same.
Completely agreed. I've had multiple false macro major bans on alts I use to collect ge limits of items. Recently started a new one where I did farm runs to 31 farming and got false macro major perm banned and appeal denied that instantly took away the motivation I had to start playing again.

Go try and appeal a ban on league of legends and then get back to me about how harsh you think jagex is. Jagex repeals bans on a regular basis. Riot doesn't give a fuck about you. I had an account i made in the first week of season 1 that got perma banned 9 years later because of a flawed ban system. They admit the ban system was broken and changed it since then; but the perma ban remains 7 appeals later. My dead best friend bought multiple skins on that account and Riot wont even transfer 2 specific skins to a different account.
@@erikstrand9876 I'm a Masters league player and I've had bans appealed on League of Legends. As long as you request to speak with a human and wait a few days, you can at least get in contact with someone. They're usually pretty harsh, but at least someone actually looks at it and there's a system in place to do so.
If they know that one person in the clan rwt for the prize pool money, wouldn't they just be able to single that account out?

That's crazy what has been mentioned about the bingo stuff. When we ran a bingo and had about 4b on the clan leader account. It was banned, and we got through to Ash on twitter to rectify the problem. There was no mention of that being 'illegal' when the account got unbanned...
I question whether selling items on the grand exchange and pulling the gold out of the GE could be considered RWT if the gold you received had been RWT’d before.
This also brings to question, whilst yes we have the grand exchange does this now mean we can no longer trade other players items for gold without triggering a RWT ban?

i’ve definitely had some friends in osrs who have gotten false bans that were triggered from trading others who probably RWT. whether it be splits or lent gear. either way we need better transparency and customer service when it comes to bans, we need the positive ones upheld and the false positive ones reversed, and hopefully more positives and less false positives too

Our clan has talked on topic and have suggest they raise the clan coffer amount 250m+ and to allow a CC admin to allow winners of events to claim an X amount from coffer, or something of that nature.

it seems like the real problem is Jagex doesn't want to take the time to verify any of the bans they make at all. and that leaves people who are false banned hurt while bot farms continue to grow.

Add a bingo npc to the clan hall, anyone can add cash to it and after the pot closes jagex has a week to check the donators.
Any rwt flagged donations get deleted from the pot and after that the clan leaders can enter the winners in a clan interface and the winners can collect it there.

Mod Ayiza addresses this Raffles, clan bingos, skill of the weeks, any clan event "payout" is fine. They just emphasized that if you get scammed for it Jagex won't do anything because it's like a "trust trade" essentially. He also said it's highly unlikely because they do thorough checks to ensure that domino ban doesn't happen. It's not our job to police who does or doesn't RWT and I have the receipts if anyone needs them.

Being banned for giving or receiving gp that has been RWTd is like the police arresting someone because they used money at the grocery store that was at one point used to buy drugs.. It's silly and it shouldn't happen.

I actually got banned from a similar thing, never traded anyone other than myself for monthes, the ONLY other trade was winning a clan bingo for 15m and few days later I was perm banned for RWT. 2250 total main gone because of it.

I doubt thats the case, more likely scenario is you had a warning before like a temp, or jagex had some reason to look at your trades from long time ago. youd be suprised how long back they can look and still get a perm. Also its so rare to get banned for buying, especially such small amount.

sounds like jagex is trying to force everyone to be ironmen, don't trade or you'll be ban.
The bingo issue is that any real world trader can just claim they won a bingo. Jagex has no way of verifying what was a bingo and what was a rwt.

If it is a clan bingo than why not allow all members to deposit into clan coffer and winners just added rank to be able to take out amount so no actual "trading" is going on. Or maybe for initiation to bingo, clan leader makes a some f2p accounts and trade over 1gp to confirm that accounts liability. Sucks but may be a loop hole to stay safe and still keep bingos
Isn't the point of the clan chest that donated gp is used for events within the clan? That's what my clan uses for bingo winning definitely not rwt.
Got targeted at the GE multiple times today with people trading and putting around 200k worth of items... With some script that it was for luck for rng after the second time it clicked and I had attempted trades after that with similar scripts... Are rwters now trading as many people as possible or was this a setup for a trust scam?

Possible solution, ban the RWTer, send a in game notification to the other players involved but not RWTing notifying them of the situation and that there accounts will be monitored for RWT activities and delete the GP pot.

But the solution I can suggest is:
Improve the Clan Guild. Make new interfaces that can help with clan events. Say, a chest (or whatever) in the Clan Guild where you register for Bingo (and other clan events) and put your gp in. And only the winner/s can get the gp from that. Add a an automated system that can determine the winner/s so that even the Clan leader cannot control the gp that was pooled. A system that can also broadcast the winner in the clan chat. Heck, add an interface just for clan events in the Grouping menu. Maybe you can register there, idk. Or maybe use bonds as registration. Winner gets all the bonds (in membership form) as prize. Can add a ton more ideas to this. But firstly, jagex should improve from their side!

It's actually really not hard at all. They clearly are tracing gold back to a RWT'er. Ban the seller and the person who DIRECTLY trades with that seller. It is insane to just chain ban everyone who ever touches that gold moving down the line.
