okay HI it’s me I’m back… Sorry for the wait since March. Well, you guys knew there’d be no covers for 6 months ish because I was studying abroad in Japan, but as for the last two months… Did some remodeling after I got SO much stuff to decorate with coming home from Japan.
Anyway, the Royal Scandal series is pretty neat. I am not the most well versed in the lore but I like Rosetta (the blonde girl here) and Chelsea (the pink girl and object of her jealousy). Supposedly this song is inspired by the Phantom of the Opera in part, which makes sense- the whole Carlotta versus Christine, dropping objects on people while they sing on stage, etc.
Actually fun fact, despite what the PV might have you believe, seems like flirting with as many guys as humanly possible is a coping mechanism of some sort for Rosetta. According to the official website: “Behind her mask, she was abused as a little girl and hates men so much it makes her sick.”
Again, not the most up to date on the Royal Scandal series, but it’s sweet to see how after this point Rosetta becomes fiercely protective of Chelsea, to the extent she was like. Willing to knock out a prince for looking at Chelsea funny LMAOOOOO.

I've never heard of the Royal Scandal series but after this insane cover, I'll definitely check it! This was amazing, the grows and the English verse are so addicting! Also, welcome back, Oktavia!

Hooooly crap. I wasn't expecting to see Royal Scandal, let alone my favourite song in the series.
The vocal range and control continues to make me insanely jealous. The belts, the bits of growl, the breathiness for Chelsea's verse; I'd kill for even a tenth of that talent, ahaha
This one's easily in contention for favourite cover.
EDIT: To tell you more about Rosetta. In summary; her sleeping around is a trauma response, in a way. Her mother was physically abused by one man and Rosetta, as such, grew to hate men. She's the inverse of Chelsea.
Chelsea, due to seemingly seeing her mother having many men faun over her when she was a child, loves and looks at only one men but acts promiscuous. Rosetta, seeing her mother being miserable and abused and eventually die due to one man (Phantom Paine explains this part) despises men and uses as many as she can to do what she wants them to. She may love one man, Sven (glasses) but it's unclear so we don't know if she's a true mirror as of right now.
Chelsea finds her love and happiness in one man, Rosetta finds her "love" and "happiness" in many. It's really interesting, honestly. I hope I'm making sense here??? I'm tired. 'Kay, onto my gushing below. Also, hope studying abroad went well! I mod for a small streamer who did the same this year, so funny coincidence.

Royal Scandal is one of my favorite series' ever, (really only beat by Evillious) REVOLVER is one of my favorite songs in it, and Rosetta is my baby girl who I love with all my heart and feel so many emotions for. You're killing me here. Do you want me to simp harder??? For you AND Rosetta???
(I would commit murder for you to do Phantom Pain, BULLET, or Beast in the Beauty, or Magic Ring Night. Fuck it, I'd commit *mass genocide* to hear you do the whole series one day. You'd be AMAZING with every single song, this one already suits your voice so well)
Rosetta is so cool… I’ve always been tempted to get way deeper into Royal Scandal because of her… Her relationship with Chelsea is just really compelling to me as well.
I saw Sven got a song recently (?) which seems to go into more detail about his feelings towards Rosetta and even references this song throughout it. It’s very cool. If I did another Royal Scandal song I feel like I’d wind up doing Chelsea though, it’s so pretty to me…

Bullet is the second most recent one (not counting albums, as I'm surprisingly not up to date on those-) and it definitely does delve into him and Rosetta's relationship, you're right there! Honestly? They're my favorite due to look at as much as I love Chelsea and Lewis, the intrigue is real between them. I cannot tell you how nuts I went when I saw all the callbacks to REVOLVER lmao

Rosetta freaking out when Sven reaching out for her in Bullet makes so much sense when you take into account the abuse of her father, and watching her mother be abused. Rosetta literally throws up her hands to protect her face, literally expecting Sven to hit her.

Another reason why Rebecca hated Chelsea was because she thought that Lilian (the black-haired woman shown here) had promised her mother (Rebecca) that she would be her successor. But in the end, Lilian decided on Alicia (Chelsea's real name) as her successor since she, unlike Rosetta, had practiced all these years.
Oh, and the promise Lilian made to Rebecca was actually to take care of Rosetta, Rosetta didn't know until long after her mother had passed away.
Oh, and despite the lyrics, Rosetta didn't sleep with any men, which if you think about it, would have been weird, since here she is 15 YEARS OLD (same Lewis)

There's also a song revolving around Sven (the green-haired guy) that overlaps with this song story-wise! To anyone curious I would highly recommend checking out the Royal Scandal series.
