But are there so few Ukrainians in America that you could not find Ukrainian-speaking actors, or not actors, but simply those who could reveal this story, to make this video? After all, we do not need to play these emotions, because they are with us every day.

When you shorten their name you were robbing them of their power in order to fulfill their destiny. You do it without thought or care in the world just that your intention is horrible.
seems you didn't read the situation in the plot. She stopped calling herself Kim to drag his attention and to swap her personality. So telling that he preferred Kim is telling he preferred the real person and not a new-made Kimberly. The only reason she had in stopping is that she tried to forget herself as a Kim on a very bad reason. All in all it is a very different situation from not liking a name.
I definitely understand Kimberly POV: those times you tried your best to have someone you truly cared about and want/need in your life and who makes you happy, then soon they actually with someone else and you can’t get that important someone you love out your head😢💔❤️🩹.
