- If you want your BMW to spin both tires and stop breaking rear end parts there is no better upgrade then replacing all the junk and going straight to a Ford 8.8 differential swap kit from SLG. We have kits for E46, E82, E9X, and have Supra & F3X on the way.
This E82/E9X kit for any 1 or 3 series uses the super strong all aluminum Ford Explorer 8.8 differential, our diff brackets, super strong axles we have made by GForce Engineering, a nd a beefy 3.5" driveshaft. This kit will work in E60 cars soon with some custom bushings we are having made.
This kit is proven to work exceedingly well on the race track (both strip and road course wins), street, and when hard parked at the car show lol.

I've been running the SLG 8.8 kit in my 600whp e90 for a year or so now and have put 15k on it as I daily it. This is the best decision that I have made. Absolutely ZERO issues. You won't regret the decision.
Also, shout out to the guys at SLG for amazing customer service!
Thanks for commenting; I have the same car and this has been in my shopping cart for months. Exactly what I’ve heard from others; that the kit is well built, well designed and durable. 👍🏻
What's your experience been with NVH? Has it been significantly higher?
I love your innovative products and selection for BMW’s. Working hard to be able to buy everything I can for my Z4 E89!
Thank you!
Talked to one of you guys on FB about some TCM stuff for my DCT swap. I Will be looking for some solution to my E90 DCT swap eventually. Need better brakes first.👍
Cool kit I will have to check it out.
Saving up for this
I just found a 3L73 IRS!!! I did not know they came with factory posi 😁
Nice! Yea some do
The axle shafts would be awesome on a awd car (335xdrive) I’m not sure if it could fit or not but that would be a pretty sick build with a upgraded front diff as well
Unfortunately not possible as they are so small, but with fresh ones we rarely ever see them fail even at the strip
I got a 335xi can I run a lsd still?
Not only is this the best option, it literally the cheapest when you buy new
If u get a m3 swap let's say 1500-2500 it's gonna be used and u would need to get it rebuilt
If you get a lsd pumpkin it's gonna be 3k and that's just the diff, no axles (1700-2000) or driveshaft (800-1300)
Hi, guys this is an amazing kit, I will definitely be having one shipped over to me in the near future!! Quick question, What ratio would you suggest for a Single Turbo, BMW e92 335i N54 with a DCT transmission, running between 600whp to 650whp primarily used as a daily and the occasional track and drag.
keep the 3.08 that's what we run, the 3.15 is also good if you don't mind reducing top speed but it might help trap speed in a better gear so you don't have to shift at the end. If drag is important you can gear it specifically for your trap speed.
Plzz make it I will definitely buy them
We do. They are in stock and on our website :)
Are the billet inner stubs with the 108mm 930 cv the same over all length as a factory 8.8 inner stub?
They are completely different the stock 8.8 doesn't have a bolt on flange, its a tripod sleeve
F22 zf8 solution?
for the front sway bar are you running m3 sway bar links or non m. i currently have an adjustable m3 sway bar which is direct for me non m 335i. i have a set of m3 and non m sway bar links ..
Links from a non m, mine are the bimmerworld adjustable ones I believe
Hi. Can you text what part nomber of rear rotors? Did you use adapters for rear calipers? Thank you!)
Its OEM F80 calipers and rotors with our SLG adaptors
What ratio would you recommend for a awd auto so I don’t cook my transfer case
Unfortunately its not for AWD because there is no gear set that matches the front diff ratio.
Ahh okay, Thank you for your time!
Im getting ready to buy my 5.7k kit, will it take 4-3 weeks to arrive or more??
That time frame is a yes for diff brackets and driveshaft, next batch of axles is sold out so next batch going out is mid April. Get in asap so you don’t miss out!
I have stock 135i. Would this hurt the car or would I need to start adding performance mods?
It would just act as a LSD so you will have improved traction and handling
are you guys no longer making the kit? i followed the link says page not found
We are making a rev 2 that will be out soon
Do you guys still sell as a kit? Didn't see it on your site recently.
new kit dropping this weekend!
I see the kit is out of stock. Is it made to order or will you be making more?
new kit releasing very soon
is this compatible with the e92 Xi (xDrive) models , with the AWD with the front and rear diffs
No unfortunately theres no rear ratio to match the front diff ratio so it only works for RWD
@@SeemsLegitGarage aw damn :/ okay thanks
I don't see an option for 3.27 diff ratio on the website. What's the current recommendation for a manual E8x N54?
3.27 is discontinued, 3.08 or 3.31
@@SeemsLegitGarage does the 3.31 give a similar feel to the 3.27? From the video it sounded like you guys favor a different ratio than the stock 3.08
Yes its very similar you cant really tell the difference they are so close @@black_n5492
How much is the whole kit and is there a link
Yes link in video description
Please, the gearbox number with lsd?
gearbox number? The trans is a ZF 8HP and the diff is a 3.08 ratio
@@SeemsLegitGarage Sorry!!! The spare part number of the rear differential with LSD ?? Ford explorer 4 differential as I understand it without LSD, where do you put it?
Why did you guys stop selling this!?😫
We didn't, version 2 is coming out really soon.
Is there a kit for the E60?
Its almost done!
Can you run the diff with stock 335 axles? Or no? Thinking about upgrading but I wanna start w the driveshaft and diff to start. 2k on some axles is a lot I know the outlaws are superior but will stocks work w this diff
No you have to run gforce axles with the ford diff. Drive shaft is a great upgrade but unless your close to stock power or goal is under 500whp then upgrading the diff is a waste. You will just end up breaking it and axles over and over especially if you're launching the car.
where you guys shop located?
