Absolutely loved this review and gave me such a pang to hear you’d used your birthday money! Can’t beat M and S food - and I agree with all the comments about timing your visits and you can get such bargains! I live just a few minutes from one, you really can stock your freezer for pence if you time it right😊
one thing I can say having worked in a factory producing M & S food it's quality ingredients and everything in the process has to be absolutely perfect and they inspect every week and if anything falls below a 5 star from ingredients to packaging to the machines the room they fail everything.
@@dianeclarke3763 They were absolutely the hardest company to deal with they don't except anything from a factory that isn't Graded A simple as that . Morrisons and Tesco except a grade C factory . Will always say M&S products are top notch.

You do a brilliant review. I also like how you pointed out the difficulty in opening the packaging which is an aspect often overlooked by the supermakets / manufacturers. I also liked how you mentioned you don't like seeing good food go to waste. Im of the same view - I wont waste any food where possible. Another great video. I will try that steak lasagne for the first time. I have an M&S two minutes walk away from home so it's very tempting. Expensive, yes but usually good. I had the Gastro Steak & Old Peculier Ale Pie this week. It is ace with lovely meat and heavenly gravy - well filled in beautiful pastry. The other Gastro pies are nearly as good. Chicken & Leek and Lamb & Mint - all bake in 35 mins at 180. Remove from foil first. These are top of my pie league and I've tried them all from everywhere! Keep up the great work - it's brilliant.

Every Saturday I used to go to M&S and buy a weeks worth of meals for my son when he was a toddler, M&S is a treat for me now. Their Beef Stew and Dumplings tastes exactly the same as my school dinners did all those years ago. Looking forward to see what other meals you bought from M&S. That lasagne is brilliant. The gastro pub meal deal and £10 pizza meal deals are also great value. Yes some stuff is overpriced but compared to getting takeaways they are still the best imho supermarket.

I live in Thailand where the food is great and you can get more or less anything but I really miss the supermarkets of the UK which are such great value especially the M&S dine in at home deal but it looks like Iceland are getting better. The 3 treats that are the most expensive here are chocolate, cheese and wine . All of which I love but 3 times the price of the Uk. when I get back there it will be with a near-empty suitcase. Yes I’ve noticed that with some supermarkets in Ireland. They seem to struggle to get somethings that British stores dont. No excuse really given how much transportation goes on between Ireland and Britain.
Great video. I know you said it was expensive at £4.00 but you could have that lasagne with chips x2 for the price of your fish and chips meal you bought from the chippy.

Beetroot is great as a side! I plain boil mine then, while still warm, slice and toss in a dressing! For texture some crushed hazelnuts or pistachios can be combined in the dressing! I'm sure I remember one primary school dinner as beetroot, mash and Spam!

That looks lush! I can hope to find one with a yellow sticker... Do you have a Jack's near you? They have a very nice lasagne and quite a few other dishes that imo are better than Tesco's, both in price and quality. I particularly like the korma, not spicy, but steeped in flavour. S&K pie for about 70p, a stroganoff style dish (not seen it since last year), and more.

My issue is with the word "Steak" that gives the impression that the mince is some sort of steak, it's just minced beef. It doesn't state what beef it is my guess is probably chuck. The flavour comes from the roasted marrow bone stock and the wine, herbs and nutmeg. All in all not bad for £4 mate, you can't go out anywhere and get that quality for £4 a portion.

Have you tried Asda’s curry’s chicken tikka , chicken korma , butter chicken. I like these very much reasonable price as well.😊

Yes I know Lee very expensive. I drink that. It used to be stronger but they brought the abv down to 4.5 now 😢

Do you have a Jack's near you? They have a very nice lasagne and quite a few other dishes that imo are better than Tesco's, both in price and quality.
I particularly like the korma, not spicy, but steeped in flavour. S&K pie for about 70p, a stroganoff style dish (not seen it since last year), and more.

My issue is with the word "Steak" that gives the impression that the mince is some sort of steak, it's just minced beef. It doesn't state what beef it is my guess is probably chuck. The flavour comes from the roasted marrow bone stock and the wine, herbs and nutmeg. All in all not bad for £4 mate, you can't go out anywhere and get that quality for £4 a portion.

M&s food is amazing some of it anyways but the price is not justified in my opinion u can get so much more for ur money from places like iceland another great review once again pal
