    Check out the oil pumps by grombeardo- also, to remove the crankcase cover, and try to reduce the tearing of the gasket, push the clutch lever forward (the one on the case) It’ll basically push the cover off with even pressure.

    1st off your videos are the best on the tube. Very detailed and so helpful. It is very clear that you are detailed kind of guy. I am having a problem with my 2022 Grom's oil temps running in the 260-270 range. The bolt on oil coolers are back ordered and I would like to just make my own. Do you have a suggestion as to where I should place my pick ups and outlets? Once again thank you for your time .

    • @eastcoastish
      @eastcoastish  Před 2 lety

      Thanks Troy! Anything over 240F is too hot, running at 260F+ for any prolonged period of time is definitely going to lead to failures. The oil pickup at the top tappet cover is the best place to pick up the oil (this is where the Kitaco kit picks it up). If you remove it you can see how the oil actually runs through the stock cover to pour oil back onto the intake valve. For what it's worth, it looks like the Takegawa unit (which picks up the oil from the cartridge filter) looks to be in stock: japan.webike.net/products/24840653.html

    Try mixing your springs on your track bike 3 (30) & 3 (60)! Should be easier on your hand but still give you enough bite without smoking your hand!

    lets see some stunt practice! i just got a 2022 grom and throwing a cage on within a few days just been watching tracking ahah, get a hand brake would love to see a video on that im a bit confused on what all to get

    • @eastcoastish
      @eastcoastish  Před 2 lety +1

      I’ll do a hand brake as soon as I can hold my clutch up for more than a second or two. You need a master cylinder/ brake (left hand), a dual caliper rear mount, a p32 caliper and the brake hose and fittings. I’ll get a video eventually.

    • @eastcoastish
      @eastcoastish  Před 2 lety

      Yes, I’ve found that as long as the bike has less than a few hundred miles it’s no problem to reuse.

    Does the straight up pumps pump bypass the oil screen? I have that pump as well but haven’t installed it because my wheelies are also pathetic and I am afraid of chunks bypassing the screen. As of now, I am planning on waiting until a bit further after initial break-in (still only 700 miles on the odometer) to install. If my wheelies don’t get better, I may not install at all if it does bypass the screen.
    I know we now have the replaceable oil filter but I did an oil change at 300 and 600 miles and both oil changes had some chunks in the screen.

    • @eastcoastish
      @eastcoastish  Před 2 lety

      It doesn’t bypass the screen, it’s still pulling the oil from the bottom of the engine just now from the back part of the bottom of the engine.

      I’ve got a video of doing full Brembo P34 calipers on my other Grom and my last video on track monkey has the P34 front caliper as well as the Brembo RC14 master cylinder. On my stunt Grom I’ll eventually do a secondary P32 caliper in the rear and will probably use a left hand RC14 master cylinder for the brake lever.

    Two questions, hypothetically with a better pump and more flow rate wouldn't that make oil coolers more effective?
    And also dhm just announced their bbk! Apparently they're crawling to 20hp, you gonna try it out?

    • @eastcoastish
      @eastcoastish  Před 2 lety

      Yes more efficient pump makes oil coolers cool more. That’s why I installed the Kitaco high flow pump in the Repsol Grom.
      And yes already reached out to DHM about their BBK. I’m hoping to get above 15hp with their kit, where did you see someone getting to 20??
