Definitely a must-have for me. Not just cause Donnie's my favourite brother, but the actual crazed Batman persona he takes on to save the planet. Besides _'who gives a fuck?'_ Danny, that Loot Crate wave 2 set was _sooooo_ much better than wave 1. To the point where I didn't even buy a single one from that first assortment...and obviously regret that now with how much money that shit goes for.
I have two Dark Turtles - on one the neck is fine. On the other, it won't stay on. It doesn't look too long like yours, but it just won't snap in place securely and pops off easily.
So annoying!!
I wouldn't pay $80 for him but I'm glad I got the loot crate even though I'd never do it again great video as always keep them comin

I put Dark Donnie through the old hair dryer treatment and all his joints worked great afterwards, even his waist joint adjusted perfectly. I put some KIKI joint fix on his neck pegs and no issues afterwards.

I got this figure in the loot crate Box. It was the only one I ordered. I’m just a big turtle and Batman fan. I would love for neca to basically do a bunch of other ones like a Spider-Man wolverine, etc.. all they have to do is do the design with a different logo, and call it something else. I do know they have a Michelangelo superman version in the playmates line so maybe we will get that down the road

I'm like 100% certain that when I got this figure I came across a video or a still from the episode showing off a grappler (and probably some kind of batarang). It boggles the mind with why they didn't include that. I'd love to find somebody that makes 3D printed accessories that go with this figure to make it more complete.

I think the original release of Turtles In Disguise was a factory error with the glossy finish. NECA then subsequently released a second version with a matte finish and of course those ones blend in more with the rest of the line.
It's so weird!
Dark turtle was announced years ago now but I think it was finally in peoples hands just a year ago so its not that old .

Im always really cautious about opening up any NECA figure. Its a cool figure, but like you said they could have included a few more features. I purchased the Movie Danny loot crate when it came out. You could probably get one of those GameStop Mikey Batturtle and customize it into Dark Turtle.

Clearly when it came to the Loot Crate figures, they had a super stingy budget with the figures/weren't allowed to throw in a normal amount of accessories 🤷🏼♂️? I don't get it, especially when stuff like inexpensive hands they already have where they can just paint them black would be super cheap. But that would mean upping the price a little to compensate...or just getting rid of one or two of those stupid items from the crates that we just keep in storage.
Yeah, I guess $50 for all of that (two figs) is pretty wild. Just a bummer, but if they added accessories into some other figure or set that would be cool.

You had me wonderin' what you meant by two figures for $50, then I realized you were talking about Scrag too. So each set was $55, and if you spent the $220 to buy all four crates, you got the bonus Scrag with your toon crate. I know it's confusing with BBTS, etc. that sold the toon crate w/Donnie _and_ Scrag, but that's just cause they ordered a bunch of wave 2 sets. So anyone out there that only bought the cartoon one, there was no Scrag for them...unless Loot Crate made a (surprisingly good) blunder, and boy did they screw over so many ppl with wave 2.

I bought the whole series of crates from Loot Crate…mainly for Dark Donnie and Scrag…but also for the Pizza Monster oven mitts…they come in handy (pun!) for sexy time after-hours. I never pay aftermarket prices for this stuff. I love my Dark Donnie. The figure is fine (no issues on my copy) and the cape is actually pretty great. Is he worth $80? Fuck no. But he was worth it for the price of the crate plus the other crap I got with it.
You got in at that incredible deal! 2 figures for 50 plus the extra stuff is unheard of today
@@NostalgiaUnboxed Yeah…lol. But, we also had to put out a bunch of money up-front…and, at one point, had pretty serious concerns that none of the orders would be filled. It was a nail-biter. Some people are JUST NOW getting crates they ordered from Loot Crate from this set. If I ever feign interest in another Loot Crate offering, you have my permission to bludgeon me over the skull with a roided-out Napolean Bonafrog figure until I come to my senses!
@@frankschuler2867 I don’t know who it is, but someone has been fighting for months to get their Dark Turtle because they got either zero or two Scrags instead. He now has like 4 or 5 Scrags. They keep “fixing” the issue and he gets the same thing

At the very least, he could sell some extra Scrags (not sure what they ebay for these days) and put the money toward an aftermarket Donnie Darko. However, there’s a part of me who NEEDS to see Loot Crate make it right for this guy…no matter how many Scrags they have to send to him. Haha. Loot Crate burnt a lot of good faith with this fiasco…
My Dark Turtle or D.T. if your cool. Is one of my favorites, of all my NECA TMNT. Just had to shell (😅l out the loot. bought him because loot crate suuuuucks. Love Batman. Love TMNT. So yeah. Anyways. The lack of accessories was shocking. Didn't realize about the swappable heads tho! Great posing as always. Awesome video like always. Go Ninja Go Ninja Go!.

That's kind of one of the better deals from loot crate at the time. Two Neca turtle figures for $50. I had a subscription with them and don't think I really got stuff with much value.
I think I need to see this episode, great concept that Donatello would use his gadgets to become a Batman turtle.
Maybe getting overconfident in his tech as a solo hero, and needing to be reminded that he's part of a greater team.
Out of context though I was not terribly interested. But I see the appeal that would drive the $80 aftermarket price.
Could use more accessories for sure.

So my new Neca Broadway Gargoyle fell off the shelf due to his huge wings causing him to topple and it broke both his wings off. So his wings are broke. This forced me to take the heat gun and fix my Neca Demona Gargoyle's wings so they were folded which was a pain in the butt!!! And all the time I kept thinking why Neca why did you design the Gargoyle wings extended instead of folded??? Why am I having to fix the mistake they made??? And I felt like Captain Kirk yelling Necaaaaa!!!
