@NostalgiaUnboxed How about April's living room albeit very seldem seen in the 1987 TMNT cartoon? And as I mentioned before the mini series which was the first 5 episodes aired in December of 1987 and in the fall of 1988 is when the initial series made it's debut! 🐢🌆🛋📺

@@NostalgiaUnboxedI haven’t finished. It’s the first comic/graphic novel I’ve ever bought so I haven’t read any mirage or other versions. I mainly collect transformers/transforming toys but have been going hard on Neca TMNT the last few months after binging all the turtles shows this year. A few pages into last ronin I was like holy fck this dark. Lol But it’s also so well done I realized I needed to give it proper attention and read it when I’m able to fully focus on it appreciate it. Then again, I also say that to myself about the shamefully large and ever growing stack of toys I need to open, so I should just shut up and go finish it already 😂

I saw that dio piece behind you and got excited, but it’s the NECA dio. Have you considered trying your hand at printed backgrounds, or something like those extreme sets? I’ve picked up some of your scaled item downloads, and I’d love to see what you come up with for the cartoon and mirage stuff.

This is such an awesome figure. I’m still relatively new to collecting (and posing) figures. I’ve been wanting to get one of the last ronin figures but I can’t decide between the armored last ronin, this Raph, and the last ronin Leo. Can’t wait to see a review for Leo because he’s my favorite turtle. Anyways awesome vid, great review.
I really think Leo will be the best in the line. The colors are so stunning. Once he arrives I will absolutely review him

I wish I liked the bulkier Ronin designs more because these really are cool figures. But I just find the Ronin designs too ugly to want to look at them on my shelf every day 😕
I can understand that for “the last ronin”, but the regular turtles, like this Raph, are spectacular. Maybe you will enjoy more if you see one in person. If not, that’s ok too 😅

That right knee seems to be an issue on most, mine actually came with the entire right leg not attached. I was able to pop it back on him but it took some serious effort, and then I noticed that knee was very loose as well. So whoever assembled that leg sucks LOL

I haven't read the story. But I love how, aesthetically, this chick is basically Elektra. And then she's paired with the turtle who uses Elektra's weapons. It's like they said "screw it...let's just throw more fuel on the Daredevil origin fire."

Raphael has been shown holding his sais in an extremely dangerous fashion for the better part of 40 years. Those spaces between prongs are meant to catch the enemy's weapons, not as a fingerhold.
Also, I wonder if the side box art is not actually going to form a mural. Because just based on your two boxes that would mean there are at least two suns or moons at the same time.
That’s why I think there will be a set for villains and a set for heroes

He is bigger. They keep growing and there’s an age difference
Gotcha. I read the mini and the first ongoing but I don’t remember them mentioning that. Although they were never next to each other either. 😢
I saw someone mention that the initial Last Ronin figures seem to be done in a slightly more detailed sculpt/aesthetic than some of the more recent releases. For example this Karai is very smooth without much texture on the clothing, compared to the Armored Last Ronin first figure in the line which has a lot of texturing. This could just be an anomoly but it's certainly something I will be looking out for as this line develops over time.
I think it’s just based on the source material. I wouldn’t expect much from her and I think this Raphael is incredibly detailed

I am intrigued by this Last Ronin line, IDW are doing a 'The Last Ronin 2' series of comics with four completely new turtles and their new adventures protecting New York city. I wonder if NECA will seamlessly slide into doing those figures eventually and whether they will mention the number '2' on the box when they get round to them etc.

@@NostalgiaUnboxed I only saw pictures of Karai out of box. So I thought it was Neca. Karai looks like she belongs to the mirage or Archie comics. Renet is trash out of box. Bc her legs are permanently bent. She will not stand unless she is leaning up against a wall. Or a big character.
