Welcome to Lovebites the band with two of the best metal guitarists. They will impress you over and over because the phenomenal guitar solos never stop. It is their signature mark of this band. And the drummer and bass player shouldn't be over looked either because they are the backbone of the band and the rapid fire beat that permeates the entire song from start to finish. Yes! They are really really good. This actually shocked me. I never thought girls can be that good. I thought they can't be as good or better than males. I was wrong. I'm sorry for underestimating women. They can indeed be as good or even better than men.

One of my favorites are DOLL$BOXX and GACHARIC SPIN. They are freakin' good. They are super groups because each of the band members are totally amazing. It's crazy, actually. 👍

Oh oh I've been watching your Babymetal and I'm very happy you reached Lovebites at last. If you enjoy guitars, you have whole journey ahead. I'd recommend *Set the World on Fire* and *Epilogue* to see a bit more variety on their styles. Or *Swan Song* to be amazed with Miyako's talents a bit more.
On the band:
_Haruna_ (drummer) and _Miho_ (bass) had played in a band called Destrose that performed classic metal. Haruna had to leave music because she married and had a baby, and Miho left a bit after that. Miho, being a big fan of classic Heavy Metal, contacted her old colleague once she had already settled because she wanted to make a new band, one that sounded like Iron Maiden. It had to be all good looking female, they wanted to sing in english, and they wanted to sound like the 80s. Like that, Haruna was brought back to action.
They needed the rest of the band members though.
_Midori_ (blonde, daring, stage left, usually in your left ear) left a pharmacy degree in university when she was 20 because she thought she liked playing guitar better. She had been in music since a kid, but once she started to get around the acoustic and take speed that brought her to Heavy Metal. After playing in some little underground bands, they found her for Lovebites.
_Miyako_ (black hair, reserved, stage right, the distorted guitar you heard in the right ear) was the last member to join, featured as a guest artist during the first year. She learnt piano since she was two years old, becoming really good at it. She tried heavy metal though and stick with a little band called A drop of Joker. In 2017 she tried with three bigger projects, 21g, Sonic Lover Reckless and Lovebites, in Lovebites she was able to explode as the big artist she is becoming official member. It is curious how she started being a featured artist and slowly she has become the most popular member and the one who writes most of the band's songs.
The girls were missing a singer though. At the same time, _Asami,_ who had been doing ballet since she was a kid and had a long underground career as a R&B singer, had started to collaborate with some bigger japanese rock bands doing background vocals for them. That made her think that maybe she had to try luck with Rock, so she sent a demo tape to some companies. The girls in Lovebites crossed with her tape and contacted her. They say it was something like "hey, we do heavy metal". "What is heavy metal?". "That music like Metallica". "What is Metallica?" XD But look at her now, she is an incredible heavy metal frontwoman, it looks pretty clear she has studied the classics like Dio or Bruce Dickinson from Iron Maiden as she sings very similar and has their mannerisms on stage.

if you are a sucker for guitar solos then you have found your band. midori - the guitar player you were marveling at never touched a guitar until she was 20 ! it just ain't fair
Yes, and also Miyako the dark haired guitarist started teaching herself at 18 and they were playing in high performing professional bands in five years.
LOVEBITES can be a bit overwhelming at first. Miyako, the brunette guitarist, and Midori, the blonde guitarist, have different playstyles, but they compliment each other beautifully. Miho is a rock solid bass guitarist with a deep knowledge of rock and metal. Haruna is so precise that you could set your watch by her, and her stamina seems endless. I wasn't 100% sold on Asami at first, but I kept listening to her. She quickly won me over. She has tons of charisma and seems like a sweetheart as well.
"Raise Some Hell" was written by Asami because she wanted the audience to have a break from their serious songs - which is pretty much all of the rest of them. "Holy War" is the second song of this show.

Both these songs are good....but after listening to all their albums they probably have trouble cracking my top ten Lovebites songs. Enjoy the ride. I recommend Shadowmaker or Break the Wall next.

They were originally formed as the backing band for the anime franchise "BangDream", so they were already accomplished musicians, but now, fronted by the imposing Raychell on bass and vocals, they are a great band in their own right.
