Experience China's Sky Garden: 1000 Trees, 400 Steps of Architectural Marvel

- Hello! Today, I'll take you on a tour of a truly unique architectural wonder located near Shanghai Railway Station - the Tian'an Qianshu Mall. Designed by a British architect, this structure is comprised of 1000 columns and 400 steps, each adorned with a tree.
Drawing inspiration from China's Yellow Mountains and the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the architect created a design that, when viewed from a distance, resembles a mountain. The intricately arranged steps give the impression of an extraterrestrial construction, sparking controversy as some find its appearance unconventional.

I literally thought this was an animation concept!! 😲
I didn't know they really already built something like this! This looks like something an AI text to image generator would create!
Right? I am still skeptical that it is real haha, it's amazing... I live in Vienna, where they recently built 3 new high rise apartment buildings, which are completely terrible/unimaginative compared to this...
It’s true, I found it as a travel spot of Shanghai at Ctrip (an APP for travelers) , it’s very useful APP.

It looks like scenery from a video game

I’d be a liar to deny how stunning the aesthetics are.
Noticed each planter has a series of lights aiming upwards to illuminate them. I imagined what it would look like at night from a distance had each planter had a light in the center to backlight the foliage

The Chinese government’s thought control has been a subject of intense scrutiny and criticism. Here are some key points:
Transnational Repression: China is known for aggressively pursuing dissidents abroad. Authorities often threaten and harass the relatives of those who criticize the government, even using sophisticated technology to track online critics. Chinese police have been reported to interrogate followers of exiled bloggers on international social media platforms, urging them to unsubscribe from these accounts1.
Repressive Rule: Under President Xi Jinping’s leadership, repression and social controls in China have intensified. Human Rights Watch has documented the government’s violations of basic human rights, including in Tibet, Xinjiang, and Hong Kong23.
Chilling Effect: Paradoxically, some overseas critics have become more emboldened after facing pressure from the Chinese government. Rather than silencing dissent, these tactics have fueled anger and determination among those who seek to challenge the status quo1.
For anyone wondering it's still under construction, so we will have to wait to see the full beauty of this amazing project. China has given some incredible opportunities for world class architects, fantastic work!
unbelievable , this looks like a movie Computer graphics scenery.. hehehe just stunning.. so good that doesn't look real.
I went there during the summer of 2023, and by then one of the two planned malls were open. The one that was open was eerily quiet. the top floor had many restaurants with workers but very few customers. Also this mall contrasts quite heavily to the neighborhood surrounding it. The architecture was cool, and I was surprised that not much about it was online.
In return all the western nations have given it all their money, decimating their middle class in the process. We now have only a few gazillionnaires and millions of burger flippers.
Hopefully the Tofu Dreg curse doesnt hit it. It really does look amazing.

This place is absolutely phenomenal! A Majestic Architectural Masterpiece of a City!
You will NEVER find a place like this in Canada. WHY?
This City has no garbage, litter, people smoking, people lounging on the grass, spray-painted graffiti on walls, junkies shooting up, or homeless people lying on benches. All of which you will find in Canadian and American cities.
It is the culture. Very few people in Canada have respect for one another and very few people who have respect for their environment.
It is nice to be, 'free' to do things, but just because you are allowed to do something, does not mean you should be doing it.
Fantastic job China. Well done, well done indeed.
You wouldn't find anything this beautiful in England either, even if we did it would be dirty, vandalised and depressing. The World needs to change.. Good luck to you dear 🙏

There are a lot of poor in China : you don't see them lying on benches because if they do they are put to forced labour in prison camps to build tofu skycrapers. But even then there are many desperate, future-less people who lie flat in whatever space is conceded to them. There are also many vertical slums where they are rented a coffin's space. But the homeless in Canada should be given jobs consisting of building the buildings they should be given as a reward thereafter. But I don't expect an old hippie such as Trudeau to come up with any such solution : hippies love contemplating problems growing.

not a bit of Trash or Graffitti anywhere is very impressive....much love from Californias Big Sur Coast...
Super lindo, voy por China.
Powerful & Sophisticated Shanghai ❤❤
Indeed Shanghai is the crown jewel ❤
This is amazing, i am eager to visit china because of many video where shows combination of nature and architecture, water falls, garden, river, etc
this kind of buildings usually comes with spaceships around
Yes. Kinda science fiction scene.

Progressive!!!!????? You have got to be kidding. I'm sure it's a dream place for those who love tyranny ..
@@kgaoletsaDNA0 The tyranny is real. The one real thing they do is eat dogs and cats. I guess that is what you call progressive. Bill Gates wants us all to eat bugs and China already eats bugs and anything else that moves so I guess maybe they are progressive.
Incredible.
Tasteless. A simple desire to see by hanging pots of shrubs on an ordinary shopping center.

As a native of Shenzhen, China, I had no idea that there was such a beautiful place in my home country.

Throughout history, China has been a country that does not like destruction, a country that loves reconstruction and prosperity

How I adore this great country, its wonderful people, and its wise government
China should be taught a lesson they will never forget , don't think too highly of themselves and show off to the rest of the world.
And that’s exactly why China got rid of all its history during the cultural revolution.
It happens all over the world , and how about the non stop wars of the USA ,the drugs, the homelessness the crime there….. Well it is a young country, must wait for 3000 more years to get wiser.….@@Ace-mw9pm
