- Mushroom farms are springing up in Singapore, and the latest one by Finc Bio-Tech is bringing in expertise on automation and artificial intelligence to boost crop yield. This means double the yield, better quality, and mushrooms that could be cheaper. To be built on a land parcel at Sungei Tengah Close that is the size of three football fields, the farm is expected to meet more than a third of local demand for white button mushrooms. The Singapore Food Agency said there are about seven mushroom farms in Singapore. Rebecca Metteo reports.
Overly hyped AI
So many new and efficient practices being implemented, need the US agricultural market to improve more technologically as well

Excellent! Another great accomplishment by the PAP govt once again. This is why s'poreans acknowledge PAP as the only competent and effective party in s'pore.❤❤

Maybe better to grow it on ships out in the ocean.
And export directly.
Fungi is not healthy within city.
Many bacteria can grow inside.
Whatever farm in singapore also no use as next time also have to give way to build hdb flats.

Mushroom are great for FLAVOUR. It is mostly fiber with little nutrients.
Great for a HEALTHY MEAL. Some recipe can contain 1. One inch Shrimp, 2. Poultry egg, 3. Cherry tomatoes, 5. Cucumber, 6. Lettuce can be essily promoted to 1/6 of the meals in Singapore.
Another meal set can be 1. Mushrooms, 2. French beans, 3. Sausage, 4. Tapas using tubers
Or others recipe to feed another 1/6 meals.
We then work on the 4/6 meals via stockpile grain (wheat, corn, rice, tuber flour), stockpile cold store meat, and look into increasing the capacity of barge aquaculture, pv powered vertical farms.
Good show, SFA new CEO, Mr. CHAN & MoEnv & Sust. Ms. Fu.
(We have a lot of knowhow especially from Cantonese intensive farming & Fujien caged Aquaculture. We just need leadership to create the pilot plants, so entrepreneurs can take advantage)

If so successful in China, why need Singapore?
Good question
Chee Soon Juan recalled that decades ago, he already raised the alarm that Singapore’s education system was not preparing its children to cope with changes in the world.
So where exactly are you using AI, that's clickbait.
Chee Soon Juan SDP expressed concern about the current education system not preparing Singaporean children to cope with a world that has changed so fundamentally, irrevocably, and unrecognizably.
While the future “looks frighteningly bleak”, he said we are not helpless, and he remain hopeful that Singaporeans will find enough sense and enough courage to want to see change and reform in our society.
Will fail. Sorry. But good attempt.
Dr Chee went on to express his disappointment that the ruling People’s Action Party (PAP) is “dumbing down” Singaporeans.

More Orwellian day by day, huh!? 🤔🤭
Don't forget the pap party run out of land to build hdb flats and run out of road for cars, but the pap party still dare to allow non singaporeans to buy hdb flats.
Chee Soon Juan urged Singaporeans to deal with the AI advancements, find courage to reform the society
Vertical farm again
When the government bodies need to artificially support such businesses. Means the business will die without help.
