The latest Revisionist History! Is Will and Grace the most important TV show of its generation?

      Probably so.

Malcolm, you absolutely killed the recent Munk Debate defending mainstream media; your tactics were surprising to say the least. czcams.com/video/3vkgROIINEs/video.html

And so, another way in which the American public is pushed ever wider apart has been uncovered. Great piece.

It's a loss to viewers that we now are not opened to new ideas but merely have our current prejudices confirmed by an algorithm. It's even becoming hard to find fresh material to challenge oneself. 😢

I am still amazed every time I glance at the comments after another insightful episode of Revisionist History when I find so few. Ditto for the thumbs up. The series is so worth my time that I am working my way forward. Malcolm Gladwell's access appears to have no limitations. These episodes are like having that friend that says, "I was just thinking about..." who then takes you along as he presents his hypothesis to the key players. As for bias, Gladwell strikes me as pursuing truth wherever it leads. I mentioned bias after reading @drawntofashionillustration9596's comment because I got the impression the comment was about a different video.

I'm worried by these "sexual morays" (~31 minutes in)

  • @drawntofashionillustration9596

For once, the woman gets the green light, the open door, the chance to rule TV, without bowing to a man. Go Jennifer. Yet, how insulting is this guy at the end toward her accomplishments? If I were her, I would bloody call him out for this tirade against her. I also loved Ned and Stacey, almost identical premise, only with a straight man who detests her.

He is commenting about the differences in process, in system, in hurdles the creators must overcome at two different points in time. (Will & Grace premiered in 1998; OITNB in 2013.) His commentary has absolutely nothing to do with distain over the woman’s accomplishments.

  • @drawntofashionillustration9596

Nice way to insult and throw a few digs at Jennifer at the very end, how unprofessional. Point scoring and taking the boys’ side. Why would you undermine her achievements? Oh, I see, jealousy.

Its not a dig at Jennifer. Its a dig at streaming.
Streaming has, pun intended, killed mainstreaming.
