  • I am really interested to know what you do if you were creating a modular setup to go with electric pianos?
I really enjoy electric pianos and also synthesizers. So combining these makes a lot of sense to me. I have bough an empty case, but need advise on what to include in the setup.
I think I want something with drums/rhythm but also some drones or bass?
I hope the comments become a bit of a discussion.

I'd love to learn more about this subject as well. I'm vaguely familiar with Euroracks, but that's about it.

All in the name of education! Yeah I am familiar with semi modular stuff, though know there should be interested possibilities to be explored.

When it comes to using euro rack with a non synth/midi instrument, you lack cv controls like a gate, note, velocity.
I’ve always wanted to control my moog grandmother with my bass and/or guitar. I’ve had my eye on the disting mk4 for that reason: if I remember correctly, it had a program with an envelope follower and a pitch tracker that would output cv’s accordingly.
You could use the envelope follower on a filter on the Rhodes or a filter on another synth. The pitch tracker probably doesn’t work with chords, but like my grandmother idea, you could track single notes on the Rhodes to double it with a synth.
I’d love to see this happen, as I’m interested in trying it out someday but it’s on the backend of my wishlist.

If you want something percussive, I can recommend the Moog DFAM. It's a really interesting, organic sounding instrument. I think it compliments the Rhodes nicely.

I do have access to A DFAM, they are blackholes with so any options. I will have a play with the Rhodes and see what I come up with, Thank you for the tip!

Since you have a Rogue, maybe you could start with an arpeggiator or sequencer to control it as accompaniment to the rhodes. The Rogue should come to life with pedals or effect units like chorus, delay or reverb
