Csn you help me guys. Ive changed the same cam seal on my pd130 twice in 12 months and it still leaks. Been so careful both times not to to nick it or flip the seal. Some say you need to leave it for 12 hrs once fitted to reshape itself.....Im getting desperate now. Please advise
You need to leave it for just 4 hours after installation before starting the engine. You definitely did something wrong during installation if it leaks, or if you ordered the wrong part number, which is the small seal on the crankshaft. They are very similar, just the difference that the crankshaft one is a few millimeters bigger than the camshaft, so that may be your mistake. Make sure you order the right part number, which should be ELRING 129.780 (32x47x10).
