I love it!! My in-laws actually did the same for me too, surprised me with a menorah to light when I was there for our first Christmas since Hanukkah overlapped that year! Such a sweet gesture❤

@@saruhhhh I hope you realize that Ariel is a multifaceted human being who is MORE THAN THE WIFE SHE PORTRAYS HERSELF TO BE ONLINE! So perhaps @Andie Scott just really admires Ariel’s personality, her interests, how she acts in friendships, the way she thinks about things and views the world, what her career is, what kind of mother she is. In other words, Ned is ONE ASPECT OF ARIEL’S LIFE. She is her own person without Ned you know.

Oh my god Maggie being a little hype woman! I used to do that with my mom at school all the time!
She worked in an office, so she always wore these beautiful suits and heels and I just thought she was the coolest person ever!
She also had the body of Fran Fine at the time, so clothes just adorned her beautiful!
I love Maggie's mom so very much, she's so sweet and adorable. I can definitely tell where Maggie gets her beautiful smile. Hearing how she included Zach in the Christmas prep was so sweet.
i am so grateful for every episode because it really feels like a safe space as a girl but i am missing ariel so much esp with this episode because she’s always excited when there’s a parent guest around. i just hope she is doing well and know that we love her so much 🥺
Maggie's Mom seems so comfortable in discussion on video. I admire her ability to be so natural and so informative. I would totally freeze up. I do not even like my image being screenshot not to mention actually being on a video. Have her on this pod again!

The fact that Maggie loves little old people makes sense why she loves Zak so much! She needs to love his sweet little decrepid self! Im decrepid too with lots of chronic pain so I love him too! Only Mags could love him the way he needs it!

Honestly I just love having such a positive source to listen to during the day. There’s so much negativity in the world and it isn’t avoided but when you bring these negatives to light it is rarely done in a deconstructive/unproductive way and it is so relieving. It’s draining to hear “this sucks.” 24/7 and instead, “this sucks, but…”

Everyone upset about not addressing last weeks episode- this was most likely pre recorded. The trypod had an episode air from before October just last week- this one might be pre recorded as well. I dont see them not addressing it, it just might take some time with the office still getting itself sorted.
This definitely crossed my thoughts too! However, if that's the case, they could've even put an acknowledgement before they started this episode (if that makes sense 🤔).
Also she hasn’t addressed it anywhere else.
@@elizawoods7819 I agree, they have done that in the past with their podcasts when issues came up. It feels odd to not have an acknowledgment. Even if there is no apology (I doubt there will be, at this point), acknowledging that she hurt others' feelings would be cool.
That's what I assumed. I know they like pre-recording videos. Hopefully it will be in a future one.
You think they actually care? I don't know about the rest of them, but Becky for sure would stand her ground and not give a shit about how unfair/cruel/hypocritical her words were. If somebody had said those very same things about Ariel, who is also white+pretty+popular, she'd condemn them to hell and back. Oh well, true colours have been shown. It's up to you whether to stand up to it or to dismiss it.

Also love how this conveniently came out after all the back lash of lack of support and awareness for mental health and eating disorder/ body dysmorphia. How I can feel comfortable sitting with them with no acknowledgment on how it was a little tone deaf to say the least and just completely blanketing it over. I might have to skip out on a couple of lunches shall we say? Not that they care, I'm a no body and that's fine with me

Just let it go or you can stop listening. I have been hospitalized for an ED and actually agree with Becky more than the people calling her out. Its really not worth getting so worked up over.
While I personally don't think what Becky said was all that bad, and actually there was some truth to it albeit very poorly worded, they still should address it some time soon for the sake of transparency with the audience

Love, it was much worse than just "poorly worded". If somebody said the words she said about TS to Ariel, who is also white and pretty and popular.. She would condemn that person to hell and back. Hipocrisy is also part of the issue here. And as a professional linguist I can promise you that word choice is almost always done intentionally. Her being mean wasn't accidental. Call her out. Don't discount it.
@@Luxmundee Taylor Swift is one of the most privalaged people in the world. While that privalage does come with downsides (paparazzi, constant media attention and criticism) that I'm sure can drain one's mental health and contribute to very real and valid eating disorders, I don't think it's a bad thing to point out the privalage that Taylor Swift has. For example, therapy and other eating disorder treatments are extremely inacessable and expensive where I live and many people can't afford the treatment they need - In no universe does Taylor Swift have that problem. Having said that, I think it was more of a throwaway comment on Becky's part and not a discussion about privalage and fame etc etc, hence why I think it was more poor taste than anything. I do think it's a bit hypocritical for Becky to point it out so flippantly since she's also extremely fortunate in a lot of ways, but theres leagues and miles between her and a mega celebrity like Taylor Swift and when done in a considered way I think it's good for people who are in positions of power to call these issues out.
Hearing Maggie talk about the inequalities in the medical system, trust me, you have no idea! (I’m from the UK, and the NHS is on its last legs)
