Ahh, what a golden era.
No disrespect to our third, much younger adult, Uncle Bob, a Portland, OR disk[c] jockey who was our "character" man for the first two seasons. He would be the British fusilier, crotchety old man, soda jerk jerk, Keystone cop or whatever in any odd costume with appropriate make up and he was not quite 30. He was a cool guy and we got along well. We were both good at "chopping", '50s aggressive, verbal critiques off the 'tip of the tongue", i.e. existentially, improvisationally.

DARLENE is STILL jealous of the late Annie [Annette}\]. She and her "stage-papa" terrorized Annie all the time during the shooting of the series she later told me at her home some time in the '90s. Darlene dislike me second to Annie but nearly as ferociously for I was and am a funny guy with a cerebrum and tongue faster than Ms. Gillespie's and could not stand her ubiquitous [continual] Ed Sullivan impression and obsessive need for attention, a bit like my experiences with a number of "stand-ups", like Jay Leno on a commercial audition once in the late '70s. I have a brother-in-law who is also a standup and he is definitely included. Sorry but all true.
Imagine if Vince McMahon contacted Annette and Darlene during the first Wrestlemania
+Lonnie Burr that explains the exclusion of Darlene on the MMC reunion in the 90's. I also understand that she sued Disney for millions cause The late Walt Disney promised to make her a star in movies and music but Darlene was her own worst enemy despite of her god's gifted talent.
Not something I would be interested in - however, Darlene and Sherry, who talked her way into replacing Darlene on our Spec even though she only appeared lisping in our second season then was dumped, given their mutual needs for attention, THAT I would pay to see. Sherry has continued to find ways into the 9 [annie, karen, doreen, sharon darlene; me, cub, bob, tommy of us, of 39 total Mice in the original MMC Since 1980, and when I wrote about it in my memoir, SHERRY and Tommy, whom I also told the unpleasant truth about, managed to swing the others and the Disney insiders against me - that is why I did not appear at the 60th reunion and was sent my MOUSECAR* to my home. *Explanation and pic of mousecar award at my site mouseketeer lonnie burr dot com.
