What I liked best is that the person who wrote it is by definition cheugy because one of the things it means is trying too hard. She was asked for a review for Yelp or Google & went at it like she was writing for Food & Wine magazine & badly I might add, if you're gonna pretend to be a food blogger why are you talking about your friend Amy?
I’ve never heard cheugy and had to google it as well 🙄 - but why would one expect originality from a chain restaurant? It’s a high end chain, but it’s a chain restaurant. If the reviewer is in Chicago and wants originality, go to one of the many unique standalone spots that the city has to offer!
You should have stopped in Joliet. It’s about 45-ish miles SW of Chicago. And we do have some EXCELLENT food here. (Not all of it, obv, but there are a few restaurants that have been around for so long and are regionally famous.
Please try some Chicago food next. Hot dog, deep dish, Malort, one of our great brewery tap rooms. Anything but a pseudo East Coast rip off. We have so much great ethnic food,Greek, Italian, etc etc etc. I love you but I’m disappointed.😢
