I always make the veggies and meat that I want to put in and then add liquid, unless I put potatoes in and then I boil them separately and add them in last.
She boils everything together at the highest temperature and just replaces all the vegetable taste with salt and she likes all her meat dry because she is a ✨dry gorl✨
She doesn't use oil to sauté her veggies, she just cooks them in water in the skillet. So I guess she doesn't see the need to cook anything before hand. Plus she adds onion powder even to recipes that have actual onion in them anyway.

The reason people don’t like what she did is because her whole reasoning for using the spray is that she “isn’t using oil/butter” (even though that’s exactly what it is) and then she sprays it directly on food (which isn’t necessarily bad to do but if you’re going to do that you may as well just use actual oil or butter)

I am not sure how it works in America, but in India (where we eat with our fingers) we are taught to clean our plates of all rice grains so none of it goes to waste. Each should be considered precious. It is considered the mark of a wasteless person to leave a messy plate like that. Just my personal experience!

I do just wanna say that the whole "clean your plate" thing is an issue that a lot of people were taught as children and has lead them to become overweight. In the US we have MASSIVE portion sizes at restaurants and that often carries over to even home meals. Even when it's a communal meal, family members will often add food to a kid's plate, often more than the kid actually wants or needs. So when you have a giant plate of food in front of you, and you're expected to finish it all, you never really develop the skill to just stop when you feel full/you've had enough because it's ingrained in you to finish the entire plate. Obviously wasting food is bad, and if they can save the rest for leftovers, that's the ideal option. It's unfortunate that many other countries do not have as much food that is easily accessible for them, but in the US we have TOO much food. For Amber, it's honestly probably better she's not licking the plate clean. Every little lost calorie helps!

obesity is an epidemic worldwide, but especially here in the states. i recently gained 20 lbs seemingly out of nowhere 😣 fast food is me and my family’s problem, it is so prevalent and none of us have the time/energy to cook every single night
