    Never seen such a big prunus mume before. Wow!
    The idea about removing the one, or two branches above the bottom is quite interesting! I would think about it. but it really depends on your individual taste :)
    Love your videos ! They are great and so underrated for the quality. Keep doing what you’re doing 👍

    I enjoyed this video Sebastian. I have a very similar prunus mume to this and information on the species is not so abundant as many other species. Thank you for sharing Walter's thoughts.

    Wow-what a beautiful tree, What are the dimensions? how can we see the tree in flower? although a glazed pot could be better, I like the existing pot as well. Agree with Walter about new front min 6:10 if cutting lower trunks. Thank you.

    If cutting about half of that 'very firm old root ball' for another pot as suggested, would you remove most/all of the old soil at the same time, bare-rooted?

    • @SandevBonsai
      @SandevBonsai  Před 4 lety +3

      Well....as this is very old tree...with those you should be more careful...
      No I wouldn t remove old soil to bare root the tree...but I would and will remove some parts of the old compacted soil and some will remain.
      For example...if you imagine a root ball as a star with places between main surface roots as slices of the cake...i will clean every second slice of the old soil and all others will remain intact
      Next time in a few years ...I will clean remaining spaces between other main roots.
      I hope you can imagine what I'm talkin about
