  • One of the most frequently asked questions our customers ask is, "How can I use my king mattress set on a queen bed?" We made a video to show you how to convert your queen bed to king. You'll need a king size bed rail frame, queen to king mod-plates, and bed hook adapters (if your headboard and footboard hook in). Want to learn more about the products mentioned in this video? Click on the "card icon" at the top right of the screen. (It has an "i" with a circle around it. The card icon is a link to our website where you can learn more about each product and purchase them if you like. www.thesleepshop.com/store/pc...

    If I buy this and in the future purchase a king size head/ foot board can I use theese same rails?

      Maybe, but you probably won't need to! When you buy a king headboard and footboard combination, they usually come with the side rails to match.

    I have a queen size matree and a king size bed. Give me some ideas to manage it properly thus it look beautiful because the matree is smaller than the bed.

      The following items may work to help you use a queen mattress on a king bed: 1. A queen bed frame for headboard and footboard/bolt-on style: www.thesleepshop.com/store/pc/Queen-or-King-Size-Bed-Rail-Frame-with-6-Legs-32p97.htm. 2. Then you need two sets of queen to king mod adapters: www.thesleepshop.com/store/pc/Queen-to-King-Modification-Plates-Set-of-2-34p1678.htm 3. If your king bed hooks on you'll need 2 sets of bed hook adapters: www.thesleepshop.com/store/pc/Bed-Hook-Adapter-Kit-34p136.htm.

    Why couldn’t you just drop the king down into the existing queen rails? Aren’t kings only wider?

    • @ThesleepshopNC
      @ThesleepshopNC Před 4 lety +4

      Wouldn't that be an easy fix? Yes, king box springs/foundations and mattresses are wider. 16 inches wider, to be exact. I'm not sure how you're going to "drop the king down into the existing queen rails." If you have a queen size bed, your rails are spaced about 60 inches from one another. Squeezing 76 inches of box spring and mattress into 60 inches of space might void your mattress warranty. Yet, you may have invented a wood stretcher, an invention my dad always wished for. If we could stretch wood, we'd be billionaires by now. Good luck to you!

      Most King box springs come in two pieces.
