- We figure out the shifter situation in the 2g evo swapped mitsubishi eclipse! We end up using a 3g eclipse shifter assembly and shifter linkage to use with the evo 4-9 transmission.

yeah its surprising how much stuff swaps from the 3Gs into the 2Gs I am using the brake master cylinder for my brembos and the rear arms on the 3Gs will fit too it makes you go what was up were they planning at one time to have a awd 3G.

@@mehtra7395 if that's the stock GSX, they already came awd from the factory. But I'm just saying me. That body style (GS trim) would have been my choice back in the day far as FWD.

What is needed to make a 2g gst a gsx? I have another car 96 tsi awd with everything needed....transmission, transfer case, drive shaft, differential and the rest of the rear sub frame, fuel tank, exhaust...what else am I missing? I'm going to do it after I finish my 3kgt vr4 this week.
I have a feeling the junkyards around the USA will be selling 3G manual cables n shifter assemblies like hot cakes.
Carnal my cuñado and i just got a 97 eclipse the wiring is a mess.any idea where i can find parts for these cars.have no experience with these types of cars we've always owned trucks.

The 97-02 5G Mirages use the exact shifter you have in your Evo. I’d bet the shifter cables would work as well.

Try and put a small spacer on the bottom of the coil over like a washer or 2

You need custom rims. Crazzy fitment. Or get fender flares. Unfortinately
i should try replacing the shift link cables since my eclipse wont shift correctly, even when my eclipse has a new clutch and a rebuilt transmission and yes it was rebuilr correctly cuz i tried a good condition transmission from another eclipse and still did the same thing
