My name is Christian Swenson. I'm a 29-year old autistic man with interests in philosophy, art history, and all sorts of things. I made this channel to talk about the experience of autism from an autistic perspective. Autistic consciousness isn't normal consciousness. The autistic world isn't the normal world. I want to explore that world with you.
Reading that book turned my world upside-down in the space of a day. It was frighteningly accurate for me, but knowing is such a relief at the same time. I finished the book and told my husband, "If she's autistic, then so am I."
"autistic consciousness" love it
Yay! The lemon shirt! Also I don't know how I missed this video. Also very accurate video
Apparently, I am more like an autistic woman than a man. That basically describes me exactly :/
There's overlap so don't worry about it
Most of it is relatable. I would add we can kick a**es too.
The book is extremely accurate. Thank you. 🙏🏽
It is an incredible book, and I'm so glad you featured it!
I'm wondering if it would be possible to put your bird elsewhere while you are recording? Every time it squawks, I completely lose track of everything you are saying. I really enjoy what you have to say, but your bird was especially distracting in this vlog. Sorry for the complaint.
I normally put him in the bathroom for recording. Just forgot this time. :)
Thank you. 💜
new lighting and new top help vids look better, also good vid great way to make space for the feme voice
I'm concerned about your bird.
is that a parakeet
It was a cockatiel. We've rehomed him since, though.
