  • If you change your handwriting, you can change the way you hold your body and the way you inhabit your world. It doesn't have to be better; just different.
My aunt with fibromyalgia has been unjustly charged with a DUI because of tests she failed while driving out of state because of her disability. We're raising money for her legal fees. Anything helps. A GoFundMe link:

My name is Christian Swenson. I'm a 29-year old autistic man with interests in philosophy, art history, and all sorts of things. I made this channel to talk about the experience of autism from an autistic perspective. Autistic consciousness isn't normal consciousness. The autistic world isn't the normal world. I want to explore that world with you.

My handwriting varies greatly on my mood. On a calm day my writing is clear and legible and a total scrawl on a bad day.

What you said about languages makes sense. The structure of an arabic sentence begins with the verb, emphasising action. People who speak Arabic but who were raised in English speaking countries change this structure to noun first becasue they were influenced by English. This emphasises the person doing the action rather than the action itself.

I actually got marked down on my annual job performance review, for poor penmanship. :/

I resonate a lot with this idea of the form itself carrying content, like the sound of a word being part of its meaning. To me this is how music works, it has no translatable content, it's all just form to experience. I also had to think of Marshall McLuhan's "the medium is the message" here.

I adore McLuhan. I was talking about him like twenty minutes ago with a friend.
