PLEASE READ:
Like everyone else, we are very concered about the current situation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. We have suspended all travels until at least late-April. However, we have decided to continue to publish videos as usual because luckily, within the past twelve months, we were able to record a lot more videos than we were able to publish. This means we will publish some older Tripreports we weren't yet able to cut and upload. And we have enough of them to continue to publish three Tripreports per week for the foreseeable future!
We ask for your apology for having to upload some older videos which are not necessarily up-to-date. As always, you can see when a video was recorded in the description. Thank you for your understanding. We wish everyone, especially those working in the aviation and travel industry, a lot of strenght in this difficult time. Remember to wash your hands and stay safe!
Greetings from Vienna,
David and Felix
Are you two brothers or homies
Idk?
Is Simon still in your Team? Its always just Felix and David.
Thx for the constant video. We cant travel atm but at least we can travel through your video. Cheers
Do you know that DYING is illegal in Longyearbyen?
the scenery during both landings and descents is literally amazing. I've never seen such a beautiful place
Yes, it's stunning, but there are other places with a similar landscape, such as many airports in Alaska (Juneau and Ketchikan, for example), Southern Chile (Puerto Montt, Balmaceda, Puerto Natales), Southern Argentina (Bariloche, El Calafate, Ushuaia), and New Zealand's South Island (Queenstown). But only if the weather helps. Most of these places often have horrible weather.
@@goytabr Yup. Juneau k
is good too
@@goytabr who asked you
@@manjulatha1381, nobody asked, but I decided to comment anyway. That's what comments are for. Do you have a problem with that? If so, it's YOUR problem.
Thank you for complementing my country?
I love how there’s no jet bridge. You get such a great view of the plane while you’re boarding!
My opinion on this depends upon the weather lol
Cant imagine all the 'TERAIN', 'TERAIN' warnings on that approach
Lol yeah
When flying a specific route to special airports, warnings are turned off in planes, unless you do really fly too close the mountains and off the route. Usually when using ILS to approach, you never hear warnings because you are on correct altitude and heading.
@@RoyalMela That is correct. Airports with an ILS are probably, if not always, in the EGPWS data base.
@@RoyalMela but i bet when it's windy, snowing ,very poor visibility some passenger who know the routes like this are a little nervous ,i would be anyway !! LOL
Love that you fly on more "exotic" routes as well and not only from the hubs that everybody knows. Well done!
LIKE TO REPLY TO AGE RATIO IS TOO LOW
I was really shocked by how good the legroom was until you said it was an emergency exit seat haha! Awesome and interesting report as usual, thank you and great job (:
You might be even more shocked if you see the emergency exit seat on SAS A321😂
Also, ive never lerarned more history than ur channel thanks!
Malibu Mashup lmao
Don't u go to school?
I’ve been waiting so long. Finally Simply Aviation has made a Tripreport of Oslo and other Norwegian cities!
I can explain why the terminal became permanent and not temporarily like it originally was to be, when they where building the new part of the terminal they built that extra terminal to compensate for the lost gates in the building zone but when they finished the new terminal demand had out grown so it was decided to keep it
No one:
Me when I must talk with my tallest friend:
Magnificent scenery en route Felix...thank you !! Great view of the aircraft on boarding as well !! Great trip Felix and great for aviation geeks !! Well done mate as always !!
Very interesting TR as usual! I really enjoy very much when you show those particular routes and airports in strange places around the world! The landing in Tromsø footage was simply amazing. Greetings
I love how you let us observe the beautiful uninterrupted descend! Love that you didn't put music over the view. The descend was just awesome by itself.
Great video ! I flew this route in August 2000 on an MD80, arriving in Longyearbyen with a wonderful midnight sun.
Really enjoyed this video. Great scenery along the way! Loved that info on Svalbard! I really enjoy when you guys give info on different places! Keep up the good work, and hope you guys are back in the air very soon!
Your trip reports always help me choose what airline to fly!!!😀
Indeed, amazing scenery for a unique flight. And thanks for the explanation regarding passport control in Svalbard. Love the simplicity of this report.
That was not passport control "in Svalbard", that was in mainland Norway.
Sehr schöner Report mit tollen views! Ich selber mag fliegen mit SAS! Ich bin die Strecke Berlin Tegel nach Oslo geflogen und war zufrieden. Das bestätigt das hier auch noch mal. Lg
Wow. I just watched your oldest full flight review (VIE-HAM). The quality of your videos today is much better than the older ones. Keep doing!
Even though I’m an avid traveler, it is always nice to be able to take trips around the world from the comfort of my own couch. Thanks for putting together all these fantastic videos, mate! Your channel has come such a long way since when we first met here online many years ago. Can’t wait for what you’ll do next!! Keep up the great work. 😎👍
As always great video!!! And what an amazing scenery! :) / Regards from Cyprus!
Really enjoyable views of Norway! Love Svalbard 😍 Probably this is the most beautiful route on the world 🌏💯
OH Many Thanks Felix!!!!! I plan to visit norway someday, this was a great preview! I needed this boost today. Thanks again. JB
Incredible landscapes ! One route I've never known before ! Thanks Felix for your amazing work ! You're such honorable .Take care bro ! Cheers from France
Those breathtaking scenes are just...breathtaking. Nice review. Cheers!
amazing ! love it when a stop-over is a welcome feature :) Such amazing scenery.
The terrain in absolutely breathtaking ❤️
Thanks for the video. I have really appreciated your Tripreports...
Wow, this was one of the most coolest and informative trip reports ever
I think this is one of my favorite trip reports you've done.
Omg those sceneries 👌🏻
OMG! Such a cool route thanks.
Amazing video Felix! Remember this flight from IG stories back in summer 2019...
This is such a great trip report. The breath taking scenes of the mountains in Tromso made me want to visit there after all this covid19 is done. Being crew for norwegian airlines I only ever get to see, Oslo, Stockholm and Copenhagen. The airports are beautiful but oslo takes the prize. Deffo will plan a trip to tromso after watching this. Great stuff
I was in Oslo 2013 but i haven't pushed it a little bit farther to my dream destination, Svalbard... maybe someday! Thanks for the lovely vid :)
Moss/Rygge has been closed for some time (years) now. Ryanair moved everything to Torp, cancelled flight and has some (i think London) routes from OSL. So 2 airports in Oslo :)
But OSL is an amazing airport. The extension they made is fantastic and the architecture perfect. Like to be there every time I get home.
Yeah, now there's talk of opening Rygge again. I can't really imagine how Moss needs it's own airport ad they can drive to both Torp and Gardermoen in a reasonable amount of time. And also the owner dispute of who's going to run the thing.
What a rare flight quite interesting about the history of the destination too 👍
i love my countryyyyyyy xxx
Every Scandinavian airport I see on this channel is absolutely stunning
Haha, that's because you don't see the STOL strips, they're everywhere and all the same. An apron with two self positioning stands and a terminal with one check in desk and you collect your baggage straight from the trolley.
Great video as always 👋👋👋
Love ur vids man and stay safe! #simplysafe
Finally you fly to Longyearbyen, Svalbard. If this pandemic gone, hope you can fly to Greenland or St. Helena, or some unexpected place.
That's Longyearbyen, Svalbard, Norway, thanks.
Noddy Twothree that’s what he just said
Really good report! It reminds me of my trip to Svalbard to see midnight sun in July, 1996. As I couldn't book a direct flight, I departed from the old Fornebu airport on board MD-80 series (I don't remember which variant), then needed to spend a few hours at TOS waiting for my connecting flight. TOS-LYR leg was on DC-9 which showed its age, making me a bit surprised. But the flight in the Arctic was very calm, and the most enjoyable and memorable in my life. Since the trip, I've wanted to visit the archipelago once again to experience polar night, and yet no opportunity.
Gardermoen is a lovely airport, very bright and airy. Also SAS are a terrific airline.
great vid. Flew to TOS just during Christmas... from ZRH via CPH... man I miss flying so much... 😢
Lovely trip report felix
Rygge Airport is closed for passenger operations, and has been since 2016, when Ryanair ended all routes to and from Rygge. They did that because the Norwegian government introduced a fee for every passenger transported in Norway, which Ryanair did not want to pay, so they decided to end all flights at Rygge. However, Sandefjord Torp is a fully operational airport, with Widerøe, Ryanair, Wizzair, Norwegian and KLM operating passenger routes.
Great video keep it up 👍
I Love this old Boeing 737-800 ❤
I did the same flight in februari its so different in winter
Awesome video man
im norweigian and im happy you got to go to oslo its beautiful
I love your videos
Awsome video best vlooger ❤❤❤
Jesus !! Those are really complicated approaches ! Great video as always Felix and David !!

STUNNING!!
This was very interesting video, thanks!
finally you made some more videos on norway
It's Nice You Have Flown On The Wingletless B737-800!
What I really like at SAS it that they sell their short haul “business class” seats as Premium Economy seats but include lounge access
My Home country!🇳🇴
Can you review Sas plus on european/Domestic route? They also have an amazing domestic lounge in Oslo
Great video!
Great Video. Also I am first
A nice, unique flight.
this airport looks like the future of ikea store
Wild! Walk to the NorthPole, Felix!
I hope you stay safe! You’re so cool :D
my one of the best airlines is scandinavian airline!!
Yes
Excellent vid! LYR is one of my dream trips, on the to-do list..I think if i'm not mistaken, SAS in the summer flies directly without layover in TOS..So you can choose a direct flight with either SK or Norwegian..At least pre-covid 19..Now if you could only show us a video of Svalbard, it would be fantastic
On flights within Europe, you have to pay for a snack. However, on long haul flights such as to the US or Hong Kong, the food, of course, is free. Great trip report!!
Very nice but love the new livery!
Very interesting trip
Thank you for sharing !!! :):):)
Thank you for sharing
First time when I saw uploaded 1 minute ago
I could not go to such a place without staying a week or two to explore. :)
This is probably @Simply Aviation's first video with a layover. Keep it up guys. Stay safe
Plz upload a Indian airline vlog(if any)
Support from India
Nice effort well done
very informative
Svalbard itself produces some interesting distances as well. The Northernmost town of the USA (Barrow) is just as far as Vienna. Krasnoyarsk is just as far as Zürich. The North pole is as close as Rovaniemi. And Magadan in the Russian Far East is closer than Lisbon or Athens.
This was exactly my same trip from same place, exactly the same plane, a year ago!
yesss, my airline :D
Stay safe out there my boy
Hey i m your loyal subscriber!!
And i love ur videos!!💕
I love Oslo
Hello I always fly Scandinavian thanks for the cool vid
P.S do you stay at the location after flying for a holiday or do you just fly to somewhere else?
I can't speak for Felix, but I certainly wouldn't miss the chance of getting to know such a unique place as Svalbard, a true monument to humankind's determination and adaptation capability to live even in the most hostile environments - and which with their seed bank, may well be crucial for our survival in the future.
15:11 terrain terrain, go up!
hutles machtloser honestly the mountain look so scary when you fly that close to it
ikr
Nice vids
Cool
Nice video bro
Stunning scenery on this flight that almost makes the final destination irrelevant.
Amazing scenery!! Do you also have a report of the return-flight? :)
You can't leave your 737-800 lying around at an airport in Norway, someone will steal your winglets. Fantastic approaches into the airports with great views. Best I.F.E.
Welcome to Longyearbyen
Oh yeah! Scandinavia! I live in Norway, and I know a pilot there! Scandinavian Airlines System (now days SAS) is a really good airline.
nice im also norweigian canadian and im planning to fly back to norway got any tips since you live there ??
@@hood_avatar380 go skiing its fun
@@GoldenBoyGamer9 thanks
"Not great legroom; not terrible..." Are you sure you weren't seated in Seat 3.6?
Omg I am first for first time
Nice TR! A great thing to now is that norwegian also fly to Svalbard, but they also used to fly to the southernmost commercial Airport in the world, Ushuaia. That it was possible to fly from the northernmost to the southernmost commercial Airport in the world only by one carrier is pretty amazing! but unfortunately their Argentina operations is now sold to jetsmart.
