    Thank you so much. After checking Mercedes I got with my fancy tpms diagnosis tool and changing tires, names obd matched with reading. I needed a reset. It was driving me nuts as I’ve been able to conquer all other tpms issues.

      Glad the info helped you! Yes, you can get in a position where you start chasing your tail with the TPMS!

    You have just saved me taking my car to the garage and getting a bill as I kept going to petrol stations (4 times) to refill my tyres as tyre pressure warnings wouldn't go away..... until I saw your clip here...... Brilliant and many thanks 😊👍

      Ive been in the same situation when I got my newer E Class. I pumped up my tyres and the damn warning light still kept showing... I was so confused on how to reset it or if there was a permanent leak in the tyre(s)

    How long does one need to drive before saving the new values ? The values seem to change the further the car is driven.

    • @ReviveMyRide
      @ReviveMyRide  Před dnem +1

      I normally do it straight away because the reason the values go up is because the tyres (and air inside the tyres) get warm during use and the pressure goes up. You’re best setting the pressures when the tyre temp is low, if you set it with warm tyres, you start to get sporadic low pressure warnings on a morning when pressures are lower than the set point. Cheers, Phil

    In the service graphical display, why is the front tyre showing different pressure, eg 255 / 250 psi ? Should these not be same for both front tyres?

    • @ReviveMyRide
      @ReviveMyRide  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi, remember, it is in Kpa not PSI. 5Kpa is actually only 0.72psi. It's actually really hard to get to the exact figure for every tyre to within 1psi. By the time you pump the tire up and then unscrew from the valve (losing a little bit of air as you do so) and then go reset the system, sometimes you will find a slight difference on the display. I can live with the tyre pressures being within 1psi! 😁 Hope that makes sense and well spotted! 👍

      @@bmccoy29 Hi, As you've got a different car to me and no doubt different sized wheels, I can't comment on if that is correct or not. But if you're confident that you have read the tyre pressure information, then it must be correct! If you want a second opinion, post up a picture of the tyre pressure sticker on my FB page and I'll have a look! (Be sure to mention what diameter wheels you have and what your requirements are regarding loading the car: lightly loaded vs fully loaded). facebook.com/PhilatReviveMyRide Thanks, Phil

  • @leehan73

    The number on the side of the tyre is the MAX pressure NOT the recommended pressure

    • @ReviveMyRide
      @ReviveMyRide  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks for your comment but you are incorrect. The space saver tyre is different, the pressure printed on the side of the tyre IS the operating pressure, in this case 60psi. Go ahead and google it and you will see. I agree that for a normal road tyre, the printed pressure on the side of the tyre is a max but I make it clear in the video that you should get the road tyre pressure for your vehicle from the tyre pressure sticker. Hope this helps! Thanks, Phil

    Just put air in and the light will go off. No need to reset anything.

    • @ReviveMyRide
      @ReviveMyRide  Před rokem +1

      Yes, that will get you going again but if the tyre has been running low, it will be hot. This means that however much air is still in your tyre will be warm, so when you top up to the “correct” psi, most of it will be warm air. Then first thing on a morning, when it is cool out, this tyre may have lower pressure. After multiple top ups on various tyres you can find that you start chasing your tail regarding messages from the TPMS system. Best to fill them all up to the correct pressure first thing on a morning and reset the TPMS 👍
