    You can lower the front end an additional 12mm by switching the stock 120/70/17 tire to a 120/60/17 tire.

    That's a cool kit. There's also a Honda kit that will lower the back end. It involves mounting plates, not the dog bones. I guess yours was already lowered to the max with this factory option? My bike needed lowered so I could flat foot my left prosthetic leg and support the bike with a locked knee. Having no ankle means I cant tip toe that side. The standard kit didn't quite cut it. When doing the mod we made up copies of the Honda lowering kit plates but with dimensions that reduced the height a tiny bit more. This was done by an experienced and qualified engineer, with attention to the fact that going too far can be a safety concern. Then we cut away the seat. After passing the assessment test, I got that tidied up and cut down even further and gel inserted. There is a big win to be had just by sorting the seat, and I find it more comfortable too. Finally I got new bike boots choosing ones with thicker sole and heel, and I put a sole insert in. I think seat and boots are probably the first things to look at, maybe you won't need to go further.

    Halo , very useful video, thank you ,but I have a question :it is necessary to lowering the front if you get lower the rear ?And if is so , with how many centimeters? With the same amount as rear?

    I lowered my NC 5 cm or 2 inch. The senterstand does not fit now, and the same with sidestand. Both will be changed. But for me with short legs, it fits perfect fully flatfoot.

    Two questions: 1. How much did you lower the front? I heard you lower the height of the bike by 3 cm which is over 1” but you only raise the front by 0.5”. 2. What is the torque for the front bolts? I heard two numbers from your video. Are the left and right bolts torque differently?

    I have bought dog bones to lower my bike.
    1. Did you change the kickstand? If so, how much shorter is it than the original?
    2. Why did you not drop the front the same as the rear?
    Thanks.

    • @geeksonbikes
      @geeksonbikes  Před rokem +2

      Hello! Yes we changed the kickstand. It was probably about 30cm shorter than the original. We bought an adjustable one from Soupy's performance. If you drop the front of the bike more than half an inch the fender will hit the radiator over bumps or hard braking. Hope that help!

    Excellent video. How much did you lower the back? Did the rear suspension get softer? Some have said this happened on other bikes they put lowering links on.

    • @geeksonbikes
      @geeksonbikes  Před rokem +2

      I lowered it about 25mm. I didn't notice any softness in the suspension.

    hi, I saw in your video that you also mounted risers to raise and bring the handlebars closer. Can you tell me where you bought them from? are they dedicated or are they universal?
    A thousand thanks !!

    Hi may I ask from 6min 30 secs onwards, are you lowering the front or increasing the height? I am tall rider and was thinking to jack up the rear and if its possible to increase the front fork height i will definitely try you method. TIA!

      @geeksonbikes  Před rokem +1

      Hello! I was lowering the front of the bike. To raise the front you would need to buy fork extensions. To raise the rear you will need shorter dog bones. I hope that helps! 🙂

      Clearly, everything is torqued. What I meant was it was torqued to a higher FT-LBS than I expected for my level of weakness and ineptitude, lol 😆

    My wife is height-challenged at 5'. Been thinking of one of these bikes and lowering it for her like y'all did. She likes the option of the DCT available. How tall do you think one should be to flat foot (or not a solid tippy toe) once it's lowered?

    • @geeksonbikes
      @geeksonbikes  Před 7 měsíci

      So sorry about the late response! Zhen is 5'2" and her heels still don't touch the ground but they are WAY closer than before. I'm guessing lowering it a 5'4" person would get heels on the ground. I think the problem with height challenged people is the the seat is pretty wide on that bike. Does your wife currently ride? How is her slow speed maneuvers?
