Praise The Lord !
I'd love to spend a week gathering herbs and preparing concoctions with you. Your knowledge is inspiring. Thank you for sharing it with us. Oh, and yes to the ear oil 😊
Thank you so much! I truly love teaching in person but thankfully we have this wonderful connected world of the internet so I can continue to share ♥
Love Love Love your channel!! So informative and heartfelt!!! Thank you for all you do. It’s been so helpful in my life! Keep it coming!!
Thank you so much! I appreciate the kind words and feedback. ♥♥
Would love the Garlic Mullein Ear Oil video. Thanks!
Wonderful! Sounds like a few people would so next time I need a batch I will film the process ♥
Awesome! I’m making a hair oil for my mom’s birthday gift. Thank you for your video!
My pleasure! Thank you for watching.
I'm working on an experimental Oil infusion. I mixed (Organic Unrefined Cold Pressed Oils)
Avocado, Seasame, Olive, Castor, Coconut, Mango Butter, and Shea Butter and a bunch of Ayurvedic Herbs. I'm doing a 72 hour low heat infusion with a consistent temperature range of about 140-150 in the middle and so far its infusing better than I could have imagined.. My particular multi-cooker keeps it at a perfect 140-150 F range when its uncoverd on slow cook mode. Sheabutter can withstand up to 175 before it starts to oxidize so a consistant steady 140-150 seems to be a sweet spot for my particular oil blend infusion. Every few hours its slowy infusing love this herbal stuff. 😄
Sounds like a great experiment! How is it turning out so far?
Hi , would love to see the ear oil please. Thank you for yet another great video.
I am thrilled to discover your channel. I also live in southern Ontario. I will check out your website and your products, nd I look forward to trying some of your techniques. Thank you.
Welcome to the channel!! So glad you are here. I no longer make products as I now focus on education through in person classes and my membership platform. But still lots of explore!
So I've been making a spruce resin infused oil today and I'm wishing I watched this video before I started it 😅 I maaaaaay have had my oil a little too hot, but we'll see 😂 thank you for yet another super informative video!! ♥️
Well the good thing about carrier oil is there is NO mistaking it when it's turned rancid. Lol. So let it cool, give it a smell and if it smells good you are probably just fine ♥ And YAY for spruce resin. Love working with that plant ally.
Please share how you make your earache oil! Brand new grandbaby and want to support her wellness in the most natural ways!
Sounds good! Lots of people wanting this video so stay tuned ♥
I love and agree with what you say about the potency of using fresh rather than dried herbs, but what I'm wondering is how can water evaporate off? I thought water always sunk to the bottom and the oil would create a surface barrier?
Yes at room temperature, but if you gently heat I have found that the water, for the most part, does evaporate off. There will always be a bit left over, which I then carefully decant the oil off, leaving the water at the bottom. Hope that makes sense.
Praise Jesus !!! He is the Creator of all things and all the ingredients you used were created by him! Thank you Lord ! 😊😊😊🥰🩷🩷
Thank you for watching the video!
Amen it's a shame these herbs aren't being talked about, but for those who know keep learning so many benefits. The best part is it's all natural 😊
@@VilaToro64 I LOVE bringing attention to herbs that people are not as familiar with! Thanks for watching.
Thank you! I am making a fresh plantain and yarrow infusion with avocado oil, I'm trying it in the dehydrator. Since I also have some herbs in there that I'm drying I have it set at 100. I was thinking it would be a good way to help some of the water to evaporate while keeping the integrity of the herbs, Once I take the dehydrated herbs out, what temp do you think I should turn the dehydrator to to expedite the infusion?
I honestly have no idea. Whatever would be comparable to the warm setting on a slow cooker I think. Good luck and report back on how it worked!
Could you please tell how to use fresh rhubarb to infuse an oil? Would it work? Thanks
I have no experience with this! But I am curious about your thought process and why you want to make an infused oil with rhubarb.
I watched your video on how to make a thyme and oregano elixir can you make the same thing in an infused oil if so could you let me know exactly how to do that I would most likely be using fresh herbs and since you said this was not your preferred method do you have a video or something else on the method that you would like to use or do use also I would like your opinion on how to use that infused oil if I can make it that way I’ve been researching oregano oil and it interests me very much as to all the benefits that it has
Hi Scott! Thanks for watching my video and for your comment. I believe I made herbal infused oil from fresh St. John's Wort in the summer. Here is the video on that:
czcams.com/video/L2eNUfGBCnE/video.html
Now the Oregano oil you are likely doing research on is not a herbal infused oil but instead an essential oil. However, your research would have to clarify that. I personally find Oil of Oregano to be too strong for most people causing issues with the gasto-intestinal tract including disturbing their gut flora. The kind of oil you would be making would be excellent for internal consumption and could be used as salad dressings etc. Anything you would use a food oil for really.
Hope that helps!
Here's the secret I will share with you. Next time you have ear pain, just gargle some spicy chili water. If you gargle for long enough, it will reach the ear and your pain and ear infection will disappear. No need for oily ear drops.
Thank you for sharing.
Can you use sous vide machine for the water?
I have no idea what one of those is! Had to google it. As long as the temperature of the water doesn't get too hot I think is should be fine, but I'm totally guessing here since I have no experience with them. If you do decide to use it, please report back!
What can you use dried rosehips for? I prefer to use them fresh but they literally dried up in my fridge over winter😂
Silly me that's what you're using in the video...is a handful enough?
Tea! I love making a kids herbal koolaid with hibiscus, rose hips. nettle and a touch of honey. Delicious. I've also infused them in oil for face oil before.
Are there certin oils that would be better with spacific herbs?
Choosing your oils would more have to do with the end product you have in mind. For example, for a face oil, I would not want to use something heavy like olive oil. Whereas that might work just fine for salves. Hope that helps!
Hey young lady Wouldn't the yogurt setting be better then guessing with the warming setting? Just asking. At least with the yogurt setting you know it won't go above a 110° please advise about that. Just want to tell you that you are a true treasure💎
Thank you! It's always nice to wake up to positive comments on CZcams. If you have a yogurt setting you could absolutely use that. It would be perfect. Seed warming mats work well too.
@@SpiraeaHerbs Thank you so much for taking the time to respond🙏 Do you have a class on skin healing oils or salves? Please tell me where to go to watch🙏 Have a wonderful day
@@dianaV1212 I have an amazing course that is designed for people just starting out and the feedback from it is amazing so far! It is a paid course, but at a really great price point. You can find it here: www.spiraeaherbs.ca/bhh
In that class you learn how to make an immune elixir, a healing salve and a herbal tea.
I don't have any courses just on salves or skincare... yet!
Do you use oils u make for making salves also?
I do!
Do you put the lid on your instant pot?
I do not no 😊
My oil when up to 180 F in the jar, is this to much?
Hmm that might be too warm. I would smell the oil and see if you can detect any rancidity.
Can I use a rice cooker to warm it
I have never used one before so I am uncertain about the temperatures it reaches. What I would do if I were you is I would look at the manual for your rice cooker and see what temps it reaches. If they are similar to a warm function (NOT low... that's too hot) on an instant pot or crockpot, I say go for it.
Do you strain it off after it’s infused or leave the herbs in the oil?
If I need the oil to make something else (a salve, face oil, body oil etc.) I will strain the herbs out right away. If the herbs are dried and I do not need them right away I will just leave them in the jar.
IF I am using fresh herbs, I always strain them out after 4-6 weeks regardless if I need the oil or not to ensure my oil doesn't go rancid or moldy.
Hope that helps!
@@SpiraeaHerbs so I gather it's ok to gently heat infuse the herbal oil and let it sit and infuse for a few weeks before straining it without risk of the oil going rancid...
Great video, very interested in what you do. Subscribed❤
Hey.. I tried infusing rosemary into coconut oil.. and there is this white froth formed on the top.. is that normal?
I honestly do not know because I have never infused anything into coconut oil before. Did you melt it from solid form and then infuse?
@@SpiraeaHerbs yes.. the coconut oil was in solid form before
@@munazzahmahmed5465 I can comment that my coconut oil will sometimes develop that frothy top if it melted due to heat and then solidifies. But not having worked with it specifically, I cannot be sure what exactly is going on. As long as it is not growing mold it should be fine.
ive found as in deep frying i cant use virgin coconut oil as it froths and bubbles over, but when i use refined coconut oil for cooking it doesnt do that. i assumed it was the moisture in it that does that. that being said it makes me think u had the heat to hi? bcuz i make oils in virgin coconut alot and it doesnt froth or whiten at the low low temp, i only seen it when i was making fries..hope thats helpfull
I think I missed how long you said to infuse for
If I am using the quick method, I like to have them infusing for at least 24 hours, but I prefer 24 hours in warmth and then another few days before I press them.
@@SpiraeaHerbs thank you for replying so how I did this past time is I allowed it to sit outside in the sun for 5 days so it was in the sun for I would say about 6-8 hrs but I usually do about 4 week in a dark area so this was a new method so hopefully it doesn’t go rancid I was nervous about it fyi it was a gallon of herb infused oil
@@divinelashay333 Oh I completely understand! When you are working with quantities that high you really want the the product to be high quality. Best of luck!
I can't seem to find the directions she listed. Where would one find it.
It's in the description that is below the video, but I'll link it here for ease :)

The correct pronunciations herbs is "erbs". The h is not pronounced due to the vowel following it; as in the word honor.
