New Locs Who This? - Starter Locs on my best friend | Loc Journey

Hello everyone!
I started my best friends Loc Journey and here we are maintaining it together.
We established her locs 1/27 and did the 1st was and retie on 2/22. I did not start her on the everyday loc spray at the time of this video because i did nkt want her to start having too much build up and i wanted to figure iut the proper oils before making the mixture.
We established with the 4 point rotation with a check in between 4 to 6 weeks. NEVER RETIE YOUR HAIR DRY it will cause breakage.
This is going to be a fun journey, if you have questions feel free to ask me. I dont have all the answers but i can definitely try and answer lol.
* Remember to never compare your loc jiurney to anyone elses, everyone’s hair is different and your reaukts are your own *

How do you wash your locs and how long after your first install that you initiate the first wash ?

I retie Keshia every 6 weeks. We did her first wash when I did her first retie. I did the banding method (single braids with rubber bands at the end) just so they wouldn’t unravel during the wash. I’ve only done 2 reties on Keshia and I had her wash her hair both times before the retie, one with shampoo and the other just a cowash. I haven’t gotten down pack a routine of washing but we both don’t use actual product just water and a few oils so there isn’t ever a lot of buildup
