- A early start, and a train to Hull to start the Yorkshire Wolds Way with Mike and Mark. Planning on a 4/5 day thru hike and wild camping along the way, this video covers day one and the trials and tribulations we faced.

Yes that guy was awesome mate, rained in the night so helped quite a lot, he even offered us some free eggs but didn’t want to get my pan dirty 😂

I may have exaggerated how much we had on that break a little 😉 Mark was crazy even bringing it, not complaining though as it’s nice in coffee’s too. The trail was great lots of ups and downs but nothing ridiculous steep at all.

A lot of ups and downs on this route, mostly gentle rolling, but a bit of the steeper stuff later in the trip.

Flipping heck doing that walk in flip flops demands my upmost respect!! 🙈 nice one buddy, I didn’t realise but I’ve done the start of that walk myself a couple of years back, under the Humber bridge. Looks like a great walk. Right I’m off to watch the next one 😀👍
Yes I take my hat off to him, though he did regret it in the end lol definitely a great walk and relatively easy due to the rolling nature of the wolds.

Ah nothing like an early train journey and making the connection on time...perfect start to any adventure. I remember the last time we started a long journey with a rum binge though...ouch! lol Really great to follow Day 1's fun, especially like the pub stop and chips lol oh and the barn camp. I look forward to the next vid now, and I'll have my rum at the ready 🙂
Yes a train journey definitely adds something to an adventure, it’s great. We obviously didn’t really drink half the rum, just a little tot each 😁
The barn was awesome, made the morning easier as well with a dry area to cook.
