your recommended guy charges $1000 more than other places on 100 inch, or get the 120 inch - for the same price as his.
@@jaym9924 I would say give him a call and let him know.
Thanks for recommending my company and the very nice review of Hisense's new L9G RGB triple laser 4K HDR UST Projection system! Your members and visitors will enjoy the very best technical support to ensure everyone gets the best video entrainment at home. Happy New Year to everyone! -Robert
With a product with this price tag, I would always recommend dealing with a reputable company like yours. I know you stand by your products, and you value integrity over everything.
you should make 1 video review of the Hisense Px1-pro and compare with this projector 👍🏻👍🏻
No way I could ever afford this but your videos are so good I still watch them in their entirety 🤙
Thanks! That's a nice compliment!
thanks for a very good review. hope to have the 120 inch real soon
Happy New Year to you and the family
Thank you for an excellent review!
Thank you for such a wonderful review.
Nicely done my friend… BOOM
@5:16 treat yourself!
Exactly
Thanks man!!
The blacks that you used for the daylight or cinema review look very good. regards
Can't wait for the L9G Dolby Vision Firmware Update!
Update was released & it looks beautiful! Dolby Vision!!!!!
The best review I've seen
🙏
Always nice video. Now the question is this hisense or the benq? Lol
Triple laser design is not a new one. This method has been used in dlp rphdtv sets from Pioneer and Samaung. Those units had a bigger inner chasis at that time due to cooling issues. The triple design involves pulsing the lasers in time to mimic what the color wheel would have done. The micro mirrors wobble to makes differnt shades of grey to white light, but when timed with a color wheel or light pulses, you get color images instead.
Pricey! But, I could see in a few years this being in the sub $1000 range... Thanks for the video! I had no idea this technology was even available.
Joe, with a center channel speaker could I cut a 12’ deep hole In the top of my entertainment center so the Hisense sits on the second shelf then put my center above it on that top shelf in front of where the laser comes out from projector. Keeping the center at ear level.
How much space is there between where the projector sits and where the bottom of screen first lands on the wall?
I have a conventional long-throw JVC RS-640, which is about five years old. It's great, but doesn't really do HDR very well. Will I find this projector, and other USTs, a lot better?
I'm looking for best colors and am considering Hisense because of its color gamut. Would you recommend anything else such as BenQ V7050i?
So for us Aussies, the 120 inch version isn't available yet for the TriChroma Laser version only the 100 inch... the 120 inch version available here in Oz is the solo laser version... and personally I wouldn't bother wasting money on a solo laser.... good vid by the way mate...
I’ve been look I’m at this projector lately as 100 inch would be nice but I wonder if you step down to a 75 mini led would it be better overall. I do like that big screen
Hey, what about the fan noise and the rainbow effect?
Regarding the black levels have you tried toggling the ambient light sensor setting? Another review I watched said that this makes the blacks better by switching that on or off. Can’t recall which it was though.
Regarding the Black Level
One must activate "Active Contrast" this is off by default. Once active it will improve your black levels.
Good day sir..i just bought Hisense L9G laser projector..do i need amazon’s fire stick 4k to enjoy viewing in 4k resolution?
Does the provided screen acoustic transparent?
So is there no colour wheel then? I'm susceptible to rainbow effect. Great video!
No. This method has been used in dlp rphdtv sets from Pioneer and Samaung. It is not new, but those units had a bigger inner chasis at that time due to cooling issues. The tripple design involves pulsing the lasers in time to mimic what the color wheel would have done.
What type of stand do you recommend? I'm looking at 120" of this L9g versus the Optoma P2 with Grandview dynamique 120" screen. Thoughts?
The only ones I've seen are the ones from Salamander Designs, but those are pricey. I've also seen people make DIY stands on CZcams for UST projectors.
Everyone always reviews it without the hisense screen! The whole point is that they calibrate the unit to the screen for the area you are going to house the unit. So your complaints about colour will be rectified.
Black levels would be greatly improved on a 0.4 gain screen.
I saw the screen measured on Projector Central as a .6 gain screen. The author also talked about the colors the same way using the Hisense provided screen. I don't think you can expect the change in color you're saying it will make.
yeah i still want it bad
whats th height of th room needed for 120 screen, can a 8 foot high work
Joe, I need you to know how I set up my height channels if I have only 2 height speakers. I am using the neural upmixer and wann go to auro in the future. Should I go 80degree like dolby or 30 degree in front of me. Cause there is no place for 4 height speakers here. Here in Germany auro is way more common than atmos. It's cool to see that you guys in the US appreciate that
I think you need either rear or surround heights to use Auro. I always recommend 30°
@@joentell I will give 30 degree a try. Thank you Joe 👍
How does someone add other streaming apps on the system?
Question. Is it a night and day difference in colors between tri laser vs the traditional blue laser / color wheel ? Or negligible…
No, not huge. Mainly in the reds from what I saw.
regular projector days are number
I'm confused... The 120hz ports are limited to a 60hz chip? Want this for gaming at 120 4:4:4 with full 48 gbps
Are you able to access Netflix threw the projector?
How much distance between the top of the projector and the bottom of the screen? Trying to gauge how much distance available for a wall mounted center speaker mounted right below the screen.
About 8 inches but remember that a center channel also has depth. If it isn't mounted in the wall, you have to consider the depth of the center channel. That would likely have to be six inches or less in height if the depth is 8 inches. It's best to look into those cabinets that will allow the center to be placed beneath the UST. I've seen some cool DIY ones on YT.
@@joentell cool. Considering the Polk Signature elite es35 or reserve r350 that are both slim and wall mountable.
What's a good lower priced ust?
I like the BenQ V7050i. I recently spoke with the owner of projectorreview.com, and he said the XGIMI is also a good alternative. He said to be careful with the lower-priced ones as they have bad calibrations out of the box, and not enough tuning options to properly calibrate it after.
Have you tested Paris rhone … if so which is better
I don't know what you mean
@@joentell Paris Rhone is a 100 + year old company in France that also makes short throw projectors
@@MrGolferguy13 oh I see. I've never heard of them. Maybe they're a small boutique company?
If I get the 120 version could I use a 100 inch screen?
I think they come with the screen made for that specific projector
Can we get only the projector!? Without ALR screen!?
I don't think so. At least at the time of making this video.
@@joentell haha ok
How is this compared to the Benq v7050i?
I'm using the BenQ at the moment. I prefer the colors out of the box, the slide open door to reduce dust on the lens, and the fact that the USB powers on/off with the projector which controls my motorized screen. I also like the HDR tone mapping better on the BenQ. The Hisense is faster to turn on/off and acts more like a TV.
@@joentell I’m guessing the blacks are better on the Benq as well?
@@tobi9 I would say about the same
So this or the BenQ? I ended up buying the BenQ but considered this. I know projector central's review showed the brightness calibrated was the same. Also I know this video is older than 1 day ago but they just came out with new models with manual focus and no included screen so you can use other sizes besides the one that comes in the box.
I’m curious as well. This vs the Benq 7050i. Also what’s the lag on this one? How do you like your Benq?
@@Level7Beats there's no dedicated game mode so I think it's 60-70ms. Haven't gamed on it at all. I'm happy with it, biggest issue with it is that it's slow to switch inputs or picture modes so for example Blu-ray player input is bright cinema then once the Blu-ray starts it's switches to filmmaker mode and that takes 10 seconds. Just feels clunky but maybe the Hisense is the same. Personally I have more trust in BenQ as a brand and I liked the look and moving cover more and I got it and a screen for $3800 so for me it's a better value. So I guess end of the day I would do it all again as the picture quality is pretty good.
@@TylerStout Is this your first projector? If not, what did you have prior to this one? Also, what were a few of the projectors you were debating between? I have a Benq st2150. It is pretty decent to be honest however I was looking to upgrade it to something that would 'wow' me. I've been researching a few different projectors in the 3-4k range. Difficult to make a decision as we do not get to see these in person.
@@Level7Beats my dad had a entry level Epson but for me my direct replacement was a 55" LG B7 OLED. So yeah picture quality is worse but a 77" OLED just wouldn't have been as impactful in my space over 100"screen. Honestly a Epson ub5050 or ub6050 would be more of an upgrade than any UST in it's price point but it really imo comes down to the room. I'm in a living room with a lot of ambient light so having a standard white screen just wouldn't work for me along with not being able to put a big box on my ceiling. I watched every review of all the USTs and the BenQ seemed like the clear winner for picture quality over the Samsung LSP7T, optoma p2, or the vava chroma as the vava was unfinished and the other two just weren't the value kings they were before the BenQ imo. Honestly the UST market is pretty rapidly evolving so I'd expect the better HDR support such as Dolby vision and such to come within the next year or so.
Edit: also worth pointing out I have an AVR and a 5.2 system so the speakers or IO sucking didn't matter
@@TylerStout What type of screen material do you have? Also, how much of a difference did you notice in quality compared to the previous projector?
3D technology?
The USA version is way better than the Australian version. What gives.?
How can anything be more than 100% of anything?. 100% is globally the maximum for anything in life.
Not sure what you're referring to.
@@joentell rec 2020?
@@junior-OG 15 is 150% of 10. Percentages don't stop at 100%. BT2020 is not a physical maximum, it's a subset of all visible colors. That's what makes it possible for something to be above 100%. BT2020 is a larger percentage than P3, which is larger than REC709.
@@joentell That's 110% accurate! ;)
too expensive !!
IS f*n to expensive ..I bought VAVA CHROMA on launch day back in September 13th with included 120" ALR screen for unbelievable $2800, BEST deal of the year hands down & got a great sharp Vivid pic & goes up to 150" screen , u can still get the same deal just $1000 more from VAVA MUCH better deal an this unit & Samsung goes for $6 grand ..both is rip off! Basically u paying for brand name NOT the projector, as this better or Tv of course better go find a 120 TV probably gonna cost u $50 grand
