Let me know which two airlines I should fly next!!!✈
Do Alaska vs Hawaiian
JetBlue and delta
Ryanair vs airlingus
You should fly Delta again. I think you did a long time ago maybe it will be better this time. I’m not an expert.
I suggest emirates vs singapore airlines (eco or 1st class I’m not paying so you decide)
I will tell you this... You need to pick the same aircraft for these. You flew on a 737-MAX on United which is almost brand new and features their premium product. For American, you were on a regular old 737-800 and those things are old and dirty.
Completely agree. Eric should have chosen a comparable 737 MAX on AA to truly compare.
Yeah i get what your saying but AA can clean the Airplane regardless if the Airplane is old or not.
Dude I was about to comment this
I agree
True. However, not much difference between AA’s NG and Max. AA chose to go down the no IFE road.
I recently took United from Brussels to Newark to Toronto. I liked the fact you could track your checked bags on their app. A great experience overall!
American has this feature too. It's always reassuring when you see your bag has been loaded on board.
Most airlines have this feature
@@mjsabie8517 Actually fewer do than you'd think. Delta doesn't, and most foreign airlines don't either.
@@schalitz1 Delta absolutely does have it… I fly Delta quite frequently
Track bags won’t work if you change a connecting flight. Also doesn’t work when you go on your normal flight path.
I gave my United Airlines flight attendants a bag of candy when I first boarded and they were so excited and treated me like gold for the flight. They have a hard job and I wanted them to feel appreciated.
Thank you so much for the chocolates/candies. As a flight attendant for United, we always appreciate those gestures! and yes, those will get you some extra attention from us! 🙏🙏😍😍
Having flown both of these carriers, I am going to tip my hat off to United. Friendlier crew and better chances of getting domestic flights on heavy aircraft. (Flying between Newark and O'Hare on Boeing 757/777s. 👍
Ive had both good and bad experiences on United. Took em to Florida a few weeks back. The way down was great and the way back they delayed us for over 8 hours and they screwed over the flight behind us as well.
13:36 They aren't the same!! You went on a 737 MAX 8 for United but 737-800NG for American.
Bro doesn’t even have the balls to reply and admit his mistake 💀🤓
OBJECTION! Both planes are actually sporting the new cabins. Uniteds new cabin and Americans new Kodiak cabin. This makes everything fair.
This series is SOOOOO ENTERTAINING LOLLLL , do you think you can do a video on tips and tricks for like booking flights and like what credit cards you use if you build up rewards and stuff?
Nice video, Eric, keep it up
When you went on United, you rode the 737MAX which was a much newer version than the American’s 737 that you were on. You can tell by the winglets.
My first flight as an adult was United Airlines. I flew from Newark Liberty International Airport to Edward "Butch" O'Hare International Airport. I flown on their Airbus A319-131 and returned on their Boeing B767-322ER. LOVELY experience and I also flown on United Express as the ERJ-175 and the CRJ-550.
Really enjoyed that vid! You could compare Air North and Canadian North next & WestJet flair airlines ✌🏼
Always remember that American Airlines is the former US Airways with a new paint job.
United earned some of my loyalty last year for doing two things.
1) My outbound flight was cancelled overnight. By the time I woke, they had automatically rescheduled me on another flight with a connected flight. My original flight was a direct flight. The connected flight upgraded my seat.
On my inbound flight, I paid for 2 upgraded seats. The economy seats were pretty tight and horrible.
2) One day later after I had returned home, I had 4 refunds from United. One for the changed flight. Three for the upgraded seats
Communication was great from the early notification of cancellation, to automatically being rescheduled, to the unexpected refunds.
American Airlines IS the former US Airways with a new paint job, but it's the original American Airlines too.
*I love your Airline Reviews! You are needed in National Geographic!*
Amazing video! I watch your videos everyday and they make me happy but can you do one about Jet2 and TUI?
I just did a round trip transcontinental flight on United in first class. It was wonderful everything went great crews were excellent and I really like the fact that I could order my meal before my flight.
Couple of things that I noticed is that you did not mention that you can connect your Bluetooth headphones to the United entertainment system. I happen to see when you were setting up the monitor that the ad for Bluetooth connectivity popped up on your screen. United gives you a choice of three free snacks on most flights, so I wonder in this case, if you did not get a snack because Chicago to Toronto is much shorter than Chicago to Boston. I fly Chicago Boston quite frequently and almost always receive a choice of snacks on United. I agree the seats are more padded and the headrest for sure on American.
You can walk between terminals 1,2,3. Each one is connected to the other via a bridge way. So you could have went to the lounge in terminal 2 even if you are in terminal 1 with out going back through security or taking the airport train.
Awesome videos, EricK
Im always happy When erik struk uploads
Keep up the work Eric, your videos are awesome, also have you tried jetblue?
Yes I have! it will be my next video!
@ericstruk I'm looking forward to seeing it😄
Great video eric! You should do Air Canada vs. Delta next. The title could be America vs. Canada's best airlines.
That would be actually a super cool video!
Yes! Also he could do Southwest Vs. JetBlue or some Southwest competitor
Nice
Air Canada sucks
@@pokeyjayden1609agreed
Hi. I watch ur vids everyday. Thanks for posting these cool vids.
Great video! Next time you could do Triple 7 Partners’ airlines which are Flair VS Bonza!
Hello! I watch you all the time! Great content!! Can you see if SAS or Norwegian is better?? I have been arguing this with my friends a little😂 Yes, I am subscribed🎉🎉
I will check it out! I was gonna do KLM vs SAS is this fine?
@@ericstruk Sure! But remember to check out Norwegian one time🙃
@@Roloit. 🙃
I never had any issues with delays or cancellations with either of these airlines. Although on a United flight from Chicago to Frankfurt I was almost thrown off the plane bc I didn’t know where the bathroom was and didn’t know I wasn’t supposed to cross the curtain into business class. And on American it once took three hours for my bags to come in flying back from Paris (via Dallas Fort Worth), but other than these setbacks, I’ve never had a problem with American or United.
Not knowing where the loo was sounds like a skill issue
@@Leonardo-cs9ij it was my first transatlantic flight mind you.
@@Thatguyjack758Not on them to know that
I had a great flight with United that tv gig was perfect I watched espn the whole flight loved it
Finally you are back i waited so much
I recently took a round trip to Japan with United and was very satisfied with both flights. Shortly after this trip I went to NYC with American and had a pretty bad experience. Probably won't ever fly American again, my flight got delayed overnight and they refused to reimburse me in any way.
Last year I flew Hawaiian Airlines to Hawaii and this was definitely the best airline I've ever flown
Do Bulgaria air and BH aielines
Love both but united is better in my opinion
agreed
Cuz united breaks guitars🎵🎶🎵🎶
@@DailyAll_YTTo be completely fair that happened before the Continental X United merger in 2010. A lot of things have changed since then.
Brilliant video Eric
I love your videos
I thing you should do LOT Vs Buzz
Gret vid! Possible video idea: Jet2 vs EasyJet
As an AAdvantage Million Miler I have to thank you for pointing out that United as in flight entertainment with video screens, whereas AA, under the misguided management of USAirways management tore all of the video screens out. I'm so disappointed that I built up so much mileage on American only to discover that when USAirways management took over they basically ruined the airline.
Preach. Rip the real AA
I think the reason security pats you down a lot is that you’re travelling back and forth between countries in a short time. I guess to security that seems suspicious?
No ,that shouldn't be the reason as many businessmen do that ,too !! I used to fly back / forth here L.A.& Tokyo every 3 to 6 months ,never had the issue ! This was before 911 ,but my mom did fly often here / Tokyo as well between 2007 & 2008 & 2010 ,2013 ,no issues ! We flied in business classes ,though ! Maybe being Japanese women helped ? Lol. But,seriously lots of people have business in other countries fly often between the two countries & never experienced that ,I.think ! My family friend worked for a big music company & later worked for a movie industry & traveled here & Tokyo so often & never issues for that ! I know some Japanese friends fly back / forth the U S. & Japan ,but no issues ,either. Lol. I know we're not supposed to smile too much at 'em & have small talks with 'em I heard ! Lol.💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞
@@spark_6710 I think it’s just that Canada and Europe are suspicious. USA has a lot of business and stuff so USA dosen’t rlly care
Finally some Erik struk ❤
Keep up the good work sir🫡
We need one for Air Canada vs WestJet.
I decided to switch to United from American this year after having such bad experiences with them. So far I have taken 64 flights this year, 56 on United. I have to say overall I am very happy with them. I have had only 3 delays which considering the chaos with flying this year was really good. I love the wifi for $8 for domestic flights. The flight staff have been so nice indeed I cannot remember a bad experience.
Sheesh bro I’ve been on 0
As a flight attendant for the company, thank you so much for your compliment on the crew. We always try our best. 🙏🙏
If you’re on 56 flights a year with United, you might want to just purchase the subscription for inflight WiFi, rather than pay separately each flight :)
Great suggestion. I was thinking of it but many of my flights are 2 hours or less so no real need for it on those. I love it for the longer trans continental ones.
@@Terika-your very welcome.
I was curious what is the edge? I wish you would of explain more why you came out with the answer edge. I'm a new subscriber.
as someone who loves flying but doesnt do it often your videos are perfect to binge
At this point I swear by United. They've always been great to me and never given me problems! Their in-flight entertainment system has never failed to disappoint me on my flights, especially when I make my long cross-country tripS from EWR to LAX. Plus their United lounge at LAX is phenomenal in my opinion with the open-air design on top of the gates 🔥 🌴
Atl to Ewr great
You Should Do SouthWest vs JetBlue those are two popular ones!
jetblue all the way homie!
Great video eric! You should do Malaysia airline vs. Airasia Next video. The title could be Malaysia airline vs Airasia..... Pls try it
Great video, haven’t been on both myself but I do see myself flying United with the way American is on. Two things criticise you on is that you need to mention the aircraft you’re flying and mention it correctly cos on the Flair video you mistook the MAX for the -800 as well as video.
It's strange you did not get a snack on United. They usually give a snack, and it will be their famous stroopwaffle.
They also offer a snack mix similar to giardettos, and a crispy chocolate cookie
As someone who always goes on united it’s my favorite
Dude thanks for testing all of these airlines just make sure if I want to go to the right one
Manchu wok one of my favorites too! Great video. :-)
I fly United airline 777 over to Houston to Tokyo and then final destination Hong Kong airlines United airlines was a 4.9 star for me
Eric, you should fly JetBlue verse EasyJet
I fly United at least once a year to Honolulu. Never had a delay. Any problems in flight bathrooms are always clean and we get food service
Do Star Alliance Vs British Airways If Possible I Have Watched You A LOT Because i cant stand how good the vids are I Am Subbed❤
The first two (and so far only) times I have flown have been with United and they've been pretty good so far. The IFE was really good in terms of selection and I managed to get a snack and drink during the flight. Plus, the staff were pretty friendly too. Overall, they get a 5/5 from me.
Delta and spirit😂
What a great video. You just made me appreciate Delta even more than I did lol.
11:42 you’re allowed to walk between terminals 1,2,3 @ ORD, but you can’t go to terminal 5 as it is the international departures terminal which is kinda weird.
it made me sad
Though if you are flying United or American from T1 or 3, international will still depart from those terminals.
❤❤❤
@@ericstruk Next time if you want an airport with a proper lounge (that is not a United Club) there is a Centurion Lounge at these airports: IAH, DEN, DFW or JFK
@@Camerenreynolds ORD's terminal layout is different to other United hubs.
I love United Airlines because it is great for me to fly 😀😀😀
I agree with that
Why 😂😂😂😂
A few times I flew American Airlines international flights and their actually really good so I would suggest trying them bc honestly there international flights are great
Note: it might be different because I haven’t flew them internationally in 2 years
Love your videos ❤❤❤
why thank you!
Keep up the great work! Also, at 7:50 did you mean crusing altitude ?
Plot Twist: Security is watching your videos
Hey Eric! United only allows online check in for domestic flights, but for international flights, you need to get verified your passport. But, it is all a great video!
Thanks for the info!
I just realized that I wasn't subscribed to you the whole time😢. But now I am
I remember along time ago back in like 1999 or 2000, I was super young and I was flying on American, and we were on a DC-10, the staff were pretty nice and it was a overall nice flight. I wish American didn't retire the classic livery
JetBlue VS southwest
that is the next video :)
How about Mexico vs USA vs Canada? Please
After JetBlue vs southwest can you do spirit vs Air Florida
Great video, Eric. US airlines are the worst. I fly Southwest and Delta (When I go overseas). All the other ones are just too complicated and negative. BTW Delta has FREE wifi...on all their flights for ALL passengers.
Southwest doesn’t fly overseas, it goes to the Bahamas, Jamaica, or Aruba but I wouldn’t really consider that overseas.
@@richardhernandez9393 I know. I said I fly Southwest and Delta when I need to go overseas.
@@mikekelly702 I know but I was saying Southwest only flies in the US and select Caribbean Islands so I wouldn’t consider that overseas as most of its destinations are still within the North American continent.
You should do Business on a international flight. As UA and DL got rid of First class before AA. Now AA only has Business on international.
Thanks for reviewing cause I will be flying united airlines B787 (14 Hour) from Singapore to San Francisco
Love your videos
For American, you have to really chose your flights for the experience you want. The newer planes have the better set up. Just have to look at what plan is used for which flight. Looks like you were on an old 737 which American won’t retro fit with inflight entertainment because they are cheap. But the newer flights are really nice. They tend to us the older ones for shot haul flights and the newer ones for long haul.
I havent flown on American in a good while, but I can defenitely confirm that the newer aircraft are nicer than the old ones.
Just so you know, the planes you flew on were not the exact same, the aircraft you were on when flying United was a Boeing 737 Max 8 whereas on American you were flying on a Boeing 737-800. These two planes are the exact same size but with minor differences such as the engines, on the Max 8 the engines are bigger and more efficient. Also, on the Max 8 the winglets are different than on the -800, but you just have to see the 2 to understand the difference. This is just so you know for next time. I love your videos! See you in the sky.
The Max is also quieter.
Yes it is.@@TacticaLLR
@@TacticaLLR and relatively cleaner due to its young age
Also United doesn’t have IFE screens on most of their single isle aircraft, just some Max aircraft
@@masonl327 I hear they're changing that. They are planning on retrofitting their existing planes. Some A319s and at least one 737-800 has already been retrofitted afaik.
And also I watch all ur videos and I am your favourite subscriber
Good video👏 I’m from Norway, so maybee you can try Norce. Thats a airline from Norway, USA and England?😊
My friend flew United, his second flight got canceled so he had to rent a car and drive 5 hours to Omaha.
United left us stranded for two days without meals, accommodations or communications1 They have offered us a 'mileage' compensation, instead of cash, and they have stalled and stalled and stalled with their responsibilities! The crew shortage was their issue, but it cost my husband and I approx. $2000 and they just want us to go away! Never flying with United again!
IgG
fly qartar airways eric struk
@@mrwho247
AA and UA are really about even - it just depends on the day. UA has the in-seat screens which are new and snazzy for now but honestly I enjoy my own media. I hate that the power ports are always loose and instead would like to see an airline put a usb-c power output in seatback
You should do more Europe ones like air Baltic and SAS or even LOT or Jet 2
The united airlines was a 737 MAX 8 and the American Airlines was a 737-800 so it's not the same flight as the american airlines flight is older then the uniteds new MAX
well it is close enough
@@ericstruk it’s not close enough. The age difference between to the two planes could be as much as 20 years! No matter which airline you’re on the 737 MAX is going to be much nicer than the -800, -900, ect… You can see which 737 variant you’re flying on when booking, so try to make a direct comparison next time.
Once I had a 5 hour delay and all I remember from that was the moving walkway thingy bc it kept saying “you are approaching the end of the moving walkway”. IN A BRITSH ACCENT. I am pretty sure I was flying American.
ayy welcome to Massachusetts it is a little hectic but it is a nice place hopefully you have a good time
Met a nasty FA on a UA flight between SFO & SEA In 2018.
But I must say Big 3 has certainly cranked up the ancillaries.
The annoying part at that time was I had to pay for luggage.
Thank god for my Sas eurobonus silver giving my some luck...
what did you do to the FA? Most are overworked 14 hour duty days but still manage to smile while serving you a coke and peanuts
I fly out of Newark NJ, EWR. The only carriers that fly non-stop to for instance Florida where I like to go is Jetblue, United, and Spirit. So American and Delta are one stop so No on that. I guess it depends. But I've never flown United but I will in December. On the Max 8. Looking forward to it.
Nice vid! You can do Singapore airlines and Qatar Airways, the top two best airlines in the world.
My family always flys American or United if we can. I appreciated that most of our American flights have free drinks on board.
Hi Eric I’m new and
I’m subscribed
I'm an American airlines gal. They fly to where I want to go from my hometown. I do fly 1st class because the cost isn't much more than coach because of the length of the trips. My experience in terms of amenities depends on the flight attendants. Sometimes I end up with booze galore, ice cream, warm nuts a meal and snacks, other times I'm lucky I got my meal.
Love when you post Eric! Always a great and comprehensive review!
Glad you like them! another next saturday!
@@ericstruk Pls Etihad vs Emirates please
I flew on the same plane model as Eric. Now, I am more picky on planes from now on!😂
16:15 - This time he called them biscuits :)
Love your videos it helps me decide what airline I should take to go to California
United normally gives a snack on that route, I few a couple of days ago and they offered it to all passages on the YYZ - ORD route actually same flight except we were on time. I think it was a pretzel or cookie option, I declined as it was a rough flight. I can't say anything about American Airlines my last flight with them was Feb 2011 when I used all my Advantage Points on the then TD AA card . Can you do a New Porter Jet Service domestic long haul flight . Good video 😊
One time when i booked united it got delayed 3 times i was waiting in the airport for so long then i just came to the shops then bought my self a mini toy airplane it made me kinda happy seeing a small united and a regular size one but overall the stuff and all were good
we tried the Plaza Premium Lounge a couple years ago when we went to Las Vegas, it was Meh then as well
Id love to listen in on the pilots talking to ATC and hear my pilot drop a massive “SEE YA” on freq. Would be a legendary passenger experience.
I agree about United having inconsistent service. As I live in hub city it’s pretty much my only option but I don’t mind. For years upon years I’ve flied United (continental) and on average I am satisfied. I also agree their slim line seats are horribly uncomfortable especially for longer flights. The one perk for me that I enjoy with United is their lounge access with their card.
Very nice video! How tall are you? So that I can compare your needed space for the legs with mine haha
Would be very nice if you answer
My A350 experience with Asiana Airlines, which was not a better airline but, it had a tv, more comfortable seats, more legroom, and higher headroom in the bathroom.
I’ve never flown American, but my family and I have been flying United basically since their founding. We’ve generally had a very good experience with them (save for a couple of incidents), and I do have to say their business class on the 767 is magnificent.
My friend swears by united but I don't think I ever flew with them (I usually fly spirit because I am a bit frugal). I will have to try them sometime.
@@littlesongbird1 You should. Not quite like Delta but definitely still great, especially on long haul flights.
Yahoo another video, I think United is better! You shall try air algérie vs british airways. Im confused what airline is better.
I think you should do RYANAIR VS Jet2 holidays, package holidays you can trust😊
It’s weird that you had trouble signing in to United bc my family flys United sometimes and we don’t have any trouble.
