god, this is so post-dystopian. when you listen closely, you can hear gentle rushes of air, over an uninhabited city. you're all alone. it's no use searching for survivors in this place, too. you've given up. the voices of gaia are humming their life song around you. the mountains are stretching now, looming over the city. the fires have ceased, there's nothing left to burn. everyone had lived their lives for this? to be forgotten. is that what we live for? the air isn't even cold anymore. it's warm, warm and familiar. like butter-yellow memories. memories from places that you can't even remember. when the light of the sun hit the pond and the body of the creek mottled spun-gold for a moment? before you broke the harmony by wading in again. and it was gone. that's what it feels like. you know somewhere; tangled up in the abandoned stomachs of the internet, there would be lost messages, things that never got sent, saved accounts from people long dead, never to access them again. it's all going back now. nothing was ever meaningless, just human naivety at its best. so now we'll start again. me and you. maybe we can do it better this time. maybe.
oh wow.. the words 'memories from places that you can't even remember', that hit me hard. ive seen where my past life lives, and i always wonder. why do i know that place? but yet ive never been there. till i realized that i was a therian, and that the forest i had seen so many times, was my old home. does that forest even exist anymore? what if its gone, the trees churned up on the land, and the small cliff reduced to crumbling old stones. my old clan camp, gone, discovered by humans greedy for more land. my old world, my sister, my clanmates. even the enemy clans. I died before all of this could happen, but i know it did.

I love how different both feel. The original sounds like a sudden strike of the end of the world were you barely have time to say a word before you're kissing/hugging the person you love and saying your last words to each other. This one feels like seeing the end of the world approaching, expectantly in slow motion, seeing the fall of buildings and the cries of desperate mothers with their children or trying to reach the end of the road to have someone in their grasp. It's like standing in a cliff knowing you can't do anything but watch everything fall apart in slow motion. Big woahhhhhh lesssketit

It's going to happen regardless of what you do. So, just try to make the most out of your life. Stop caring about what other people think about you, their opinions don't matter and never will. Ask your crush out, do that thing you've been so scared to do, start on a new hobby, etc. Just do what you love broski, and when it's your time, you can be ready and know you had a good life. 😌 Hell yeah, its scary, but the more you do to make the most, the less scary it will be

“A Forgotten Letter to Someone I Once Knew” That summer day, when you and I were still young, the orange sun fell into the western sky, and the cicadas sung into the heat of that June afternoon. We walked down the endless dirt path, three feet apart from each other. Rice fields sat idle to our right, and tall trees with green leaves stood to our left. The dragonflies danced and chased each other in the heat of the afternoon, once in a while dipping down to kiss the stagnant glass of the water. Little ripples would move far away, disrupting the calm, but only for a moment until the fleeting notion of their mere existence had already been forgotten, and the glass plain would subside into its calm state once more. The beams of the sun melted over the tips and through the cracks in the still clouds on the horizon. The postman rode past on his bike, giving us a nod with a careless smile on his face. I remember looking down at the orange dirt. Glancing to my right, being sure not to lift my head, I saw your brown hair blow over your left shoulder. The breeze, for an instant, caught your hair and tugged at it, suspending it in the air pocket behind you before letting it go, as it fell down against your back. Your shirt reminded me of a sailor: white, with dark blue pinstripes, the sleeves short to free your shoulders. You looked ahead. We walked in silence for the next fourteen minutes. This was familiar. Our feet slid against the loose pebbles in the wide path. We headed to the bus stop. A smile on your face, and your chin slightly upwards, you collected the completeness of the sun’s late descent. The lonely bus stop, haloed by the sun, created a long shadow. Our own shadows disappeared as we walked into the shade. We turned, sat down, and small holes and imperfections in the wood against our backs let thin rays of light through, illuminating the dust in the air ahead of us. We sat apart. We both looked forward. Two beads of sweat slid together down my forehead. It was a little cooler behind the wood. “It was hot today, wasn’t it?” I asked. I just wanted to break the silence that was all to normal, even though it didn’t bother me much. “Yeah it was!”, you replied with an almost desperate enthusiasm. We both looked down and away. “You know, I’ll miss you." you said. The silence that followed was long. The cicadas sung louder than before, and once every few seconds you’d shuffle your feet, as we sat on that bench. Far off somewhere, the lone rumble of a bus heading our direction became barely noticeable. In those seconds leading up to its arrival, time passed slow. I slid my hand across the splintery wood bench, to touch the softness of your fingertip. Your finger felt petite and gentle, it felt warming and inviting. I slid my hand away, again over the uneven old bench. Somewhere off in the distance, a baby cried, and the echo of a man was yelling at a woman. Somewhere else a dog barked at nothing. The grey metal bus pulled up. It squealed and halted slowly like an old machine too tired to keep working. The door folded open. Your head was still down, your hair covered your eyes, but I could still tell you were looking away. You stood, and I wanted to stand too. I wanted to hug you, to smell that lovely deep citrus smell of your hair. But I didn’t. I sat there, eyes closed, like an old, hunchbacked lonely man. Opening my eyes to see my untied sneakers crossed beneath my knees, I didn’t want to look up. I knew that if I looked up now, you would look back too. A stillness filled the air around us, and the smell of gasoline entered our noses. It made my head spin just a little. Not that it wasn’t spinning enough already. The sound of every step of yours was a deep drum. Your every step coincided with the beating of my heart, as I sat in that old wooden bus stop. Every second passed, felt like an eternity. Time flowed past me, as I sat there frozen. A man inside the bus, his voice sounding alien and distant, said to you, “All aboard for a direct line to Tokyo.” Those words themselves seemed even to resonate into the stillness that was around us. I felt my throat closing up, and my chest was pressing to escape my ribcage. I looked up. There you were, facing away while standing on the stairs of that bus, frozen in time. What were you thinking? You turned your head, only slightly, with a quick movement. I could see the side of your face. Upon your cheek a single tear, in solitude, cascaded down a cliff into thin air, catching as many glimmers of light as possible on it’s way down. The bus doors folded, straightened like an accordion being stretched, playing a remorseful song. It closed with a quiet click. The bus rumbled again, and started to pull away down the endless path. You looked ahead in your seat. The lonely afternoon sun shone onto your window, casting shadows over your nose and eyes. I watched you as the metal tube pulled away. I looked down instead of turning my head to watch the bus fade away. I was widowed to something that was never mine. A single green leaf descended from a tree across the street and was blown down the path after the bus. I could smell my tears as they filled the empty holes of my nose. I could taste the salt as it dripped into my dry mouth. I clenched my teeth tightly together, and could do nothing but endure the pain and suppress my sudden solitude. A small imperfection in my breathing came when I looked ahead, and I thought to myself the fleeting words “I love you” that I never said.
This was so impactful to me. It struck a cord in my heart and made me mourn over something that I was only reading. Perhaps it’s because I found someone that I deeply love not long ago and I was just afraid of losing her. But it feels like there’s more to it than that. I don’t know what it is yet, but what I do know is that I’m grateful to have read this comment. Thank you.

(6:15 - 7:00) I feel the memories of the past ebb in and out, as a Siren's call is faintly heard beyond that sea. The Sun edges closer to that vanishing point. (7:00 - 8:45) And gradually the waves grew in their size, reaching you ever so slowly. The Sun slowly vanishes below. Now, the sky is colored in the fleeting embers of sunset, darkening in time. (8:46 -13:41) The sound of space widens our field, as the water calms and pins of light dotting the sky appear. Now that Siren sings for us. A familiar tune, a melody that reminds you of your childhood. It echoes endlessly on the deep dark blue ocean and purplish dark sky. (13:00 - 25:00) The Siren's call drifts away, as it is replaced by the slow turn of the night sky, and the ocean's never-ending lullaby slows down as the long hour passes. (25:00 - 27:20) The Siren returns to meet you. The world stands still, as the slowly growing light of the morn shades the world in a deep sad gold. The Siren takes your hand, and you are led away into the deep still quiet ocean. The Siren tells you, "Though it's the end of the world, Don't blame yourself now. I will surround you, and give life to a world, that's your own." As the sunrise bathes your skin for the last time, as the heart monitor flatlines.

I have spesicfic smell when it come to the most happiest day of my life. Its a strong men perfume and very common one too, so everyday I will reminded by that day
When I was little my grandma would "make" a lotion that was actually just a bunch of different lotions mixed together, but it smelled beautiful and I would put it on just so I could hold my hands up to my face and smell it. She forgot what lotions she mixed to make it, so I haven't smelled it in over ten years and forgot about it. This Christmas, my Aunt from the other side of my family gave my sisters and me self care kits with Ocean Mist scented lotion, so I put some on, smelled my hands, and instantly recognized the smell and was teleported back in time. I remembered so many memories that I had forgotten. My grandma is still alive, but its nice to have more memories of her. Its amazing how smells effect people.
I feel like we see everything for a reason. Even if it’s 5 years later. But most of us are here in 2020 but hey we’ve made it this far. I won’t lie, I’m terrified for what’s going to happen in the future but good things take time I guess. We are living as much as we can right despite what’s happening. People are saying that this is sad, spooky or calm, but for me, it doesn't felt nothing. I just imagine myself in a complete white space, or in a complete glass floor with clouds above me, with closed eyes. It's strange, but i can understand now why that's sad.

Their eyes stared across the ruined city... why do the heroes always win? They wondered silently, breathing out a sign as the wind moves by slowly to ruffle their ruined blue wings. Why do the heroes win with such destruction? The villains are gone but... at what cost? So many lives taken just like that... young kids who had their whole lives in front of them... adults who had already lived their lives... or maybe hadn’t at all. Innocent civilians, Villains, Heroes... this was a battle, a war even. They let tears run down their face as the sun rises upon a destroyed land. “Is this really the life I was supposed to live? The path I was meant to follow.” They spoke aloud turning to the red haired boy beside them. “Is this... the end? Where do we go? Everyone is gone...” their blue eyes stared looking for a response. But the red haired boy could only look at them... he didn’t know what would happen, there was hardly anyone left alive. He looked behind the two of them to see those who were left. A small girl, their teacher, a villain who had joined them in the fight of heroes, a brown haired hero tending to the other wounds... and a boy, body broken practically beyond repair. “I don’t know” the red haired boy responded looking to his blue winged friend again. He gave a small smile “but we have each other... and I know there are parts of our land untouched by this battle. We can live normally. No more heroes or villains here. Just people with odd abilities that give them the sense of self.” He suggested tears welling up in his crimson eyes. The blue winged friend hugged him tightly, feeling themselves cry as well. “I’d like that...” the murmured, hearing the waves from the not so distant shore. “I’d like that a lot...”
Just imagine this... When you die you are in a white open space and a guide greets you along a journey walking past blurs of your memory’s, he explains all that’s going on and this is playing in the background. Sorry if that sounds dark but it’s what I imagine I hope this plays after I die while I’m going off to the other world
I'm crying . I imagined that . I'm crying my eyes out . Plain endless white space . Just you and a white being in white robes, his head glowing pure . It makes a gesture, welcoming you home . You remember what happened, it feels distant but it made you come here, to the white space and a robed glow . You don't understand why, but through the light of it's head you feel a warm smile. You begin to look around, you begin to catch the finite within the infinity, you catch blurry images, you see your memories. You see yourself learn to walk. You fall unto the floor. Your big heart-felt smile breaks into a desperate cry. You constantly whine and wheep while crying, it seems there's an ocean behind your own eyes. You keep wiping them, but never close. You want to see. You want to remember. You want to be. I want to live a life which |I will be proud| of going there. I will cry but that's because I loved everyone I remembered. |I will die proud|, living my life the best I can. Without a grudge, no excuses. If I am to be consumed by the void, let me bathe in the space while I still have an opportunity to do so. My only regret then would be that I haven't met a single person more and told them how much I care. I will live the moment I die. I want to cry.

Exactly what I thought! Sea of Voices is quite emotionally moving and so is this ambient rendition of Goodbye To A World. It’s so soothing, yet tear-jerking as well.

It's the end of days. You and Jordan are sitting on the edge of the fallen tower in the suits that were given to you, watching what seems like a thousand suns set. Jordan's condition isn't getting any better. They get sicker and sicker by the day, and you can't stop the disease no matter what you do. You feel a pressure on your hand and look over. Jordan has taken your hand and is looking at you. You assume they are anyway, you can't see their face under their helmet. A broken siren wails in the distance, but it almost sounds like a song. You two sit there in that moment for what seems like hours. You hear more war jets fly by you. Jordan drops your hand and begins saying something. "Thank You" You can barely make out what they're saying. "I'll say goodbye soon," You snatch Jordan's hand out of desperation. They look over "Though it's the end of the world, Don't blame yourself," You begin tearing up and put Jordan's hand up to the visor of your helmet, trying to cry into it. "now," Jordan scoots closer to you and puts your head on their shoulder, repeating the same sentiment to you over, and over, and over, trying to comfort you with the few words they still have the energy to say. More jets. More tanks. More death. Jordan stands up after a bit and slowly steps to the edge of the fallen behemoth. They beckon you to join them. You do. You hold hands looking over the edge at the fighting and bombs on the horizon for a few minutes, and then Jordan releases your hand and reaches up to their helmet. "Thank you" You try to stop them, but you can't. "I'll say goodbye soon" Their helmet unlatches with a "chk" and is lifted off their head. "Though it's the end of the world" They're breathtaking. "Don't blame yourself, now." You take off your own helmet. "And if it's true," You say, "I will surround you," Jordan hugs you. You hug back. "and give life to a world that's our own" The hug breaks and you two stare at each other, then face towards the ledge. Jordan nods... and you step off. hand-in-hand. The world seems to break as you plummet, but you don't care. You and Jordan pull towards each other as you fall for a final embrace... as you hit the ground. Thanks for reading! I really enjoyed making this. I chose the name "Jordan" for the other character because it's pretty gender neutral. The idea was to let you imagine anyone in that role as Jordan.
I read a bit of the other stories posted here but this was the only one to really captivate me, it’s so beautiful and sad and I felt really immersed. This was an amazing story, man! I just met Jordan but I already knew what it was like to know them.. if that makes sense-

You were supposed to return to Earth several years ago. But due to complications, you and your crew outlasted the people who had controlled your mission from the ground. The Earth...your home...was now just a floating rock devoid of all the colors you had grown to love. It was a husk of everything and everyone you have ever know save for the few crew members. After what was only weeks for you, you receive a message for the first time. It's your family. The people you originally went into space for in hopes of finding a better future. The date is read aloud as the images of your loved ones popped on the screen. Their smiling faces as they gathered around a cake with your name on it. It was your birthday, and this message was from ten years ago. They sing to you, and for a split moment, you pretend you are standing in the room them. Around you, crewmates weep as the final messages of people they loved are shown to them. You guys are now alone. The final fragment of humanity in an endless void of nothingness.
It’s been a while. I don’t know how long; months, years, decades, perhaps. All I know is that they’ve forgotten. If they wanted me, they would have come for me by now; I have been forgotten. It is a simple fact. I’m not sure how I’m supposed to feel about that. but it’s almost sort of calming, knowing my final resting place. I am lost, and I will never be found, and I am okay with that. i commented this elsewhere but here’s an idea i had- yoooo imagine a puzzle/sandbox game with this soundtrack where you awaken on an abandoned planet, with no memory of who you are or how you got there, just 2 things you know: how to survive, and how to save everyone. because you are the key to the planet. your touch activates incredible technology with just a touch, and the planet senses your every move as soon as you activate it (imagine the planet activates right at 5:00 >:00). you meet a friendly spirit of the past that guides you to the activation and teaches you the technology at 8:00! after activating, you’re let loose to wander and complete puzzles to piece together what happened. at around 13:40 perhaps you encounter your first puzzle! your mission is to figure out how to unlock the world after activating and save everyone... but in the process of wandering and figuring it all out, you slowly begin to unlock memories that show how the people you’re saving are evil. they’ve done terrible things- especially to you in the process of creating the key to the planet that you are. in the end you’re faced with a final choice: rescue or betray the people of your past!

this song, makes me feel so many emotions. one of them being, about a group chat. eventually, all members of the group chat will die, leaving the group chat silent. forever. and imagine.. generations later, someone comes back. maybe the daughter to a member of the chat, maybe a distant descendant. they stumble upon this little capsule of time. "hello" you see someone typing. it cant be the original owner. "oh, hello there! I'm supposing you found this groupchat too?" "yeah, was just looking through my grandparents computer and I found this" "same, my great grandma was so nice! wonder what happened to her." "Maybe.. we can be friends? just like them" "yeah, that would be nice" The once silent and abandoned capsule of memories, now thrives with new life. people looking back at their ancestors, laughing at funny jokes, or crying at their last message. now there will be more, until the cycle continues. eventually the tech supporting this platform will be abandoned, old and dusty. no one would use it anymore. yet always, the cycle may continue. "hey, anyone there? just found this thing" "oh, hey there! I did too. wonder how old all these messages are" until the cycle will stop. maybe all the descendants of the groupchat dies, maybe humanity as a whole dies. maybe all traces of the site are destroyed, we may never know. but in the end, this single groupchat brought memories upon generations and generations. laughs and sobs, bright and cheery moments, sad and dreary moments. pretty much every emotion that can be conveyed through text on a screen, stored in this small box of code, recording every message sent.
How did you make it ? I mean if you slow down a song like this it will sound very 'robotic' due to the slowdown. Did you put it in a Reverb or somthing ?
Audacity's 'Paulstretch' effect allows for the stretching of sounds without giving it that robotic effect, but instead causes a very ethereal effect, especially at greater distortion factors.
And so, time works. From a throne of lost things in a castle of glass and mirrors and shards and threads and long-gone feelings and smells you can never replicate and colors you only see once, masterpieces form. But time is never pleased with their work, and eventually everything is lost to the corridors of Memory.

oh wow.. the words 'memories from places that you can't even remember', that hit me hard. ive seen where my past life lives, and i always wonder. why do i know that place? but yet ive never been there. till i realized that i was a therian, and that the forest i had seen so many times, was my old home. does that forest even exist anymore? what if its gone, the trees churned up on the land, and the small cliff reduced to crumbling old stones. my old clan camp, gone, discovered by humans greedy for more land. my old world, my sister, my clanmates. even the enemy clans. That summer day, when you and I were still young, the orange sun fell into the western sky, and the cicadas sung into the heat of that June afternoon. We walked down the endless dirt path, three feet apart from each other. Rice fields sat idle to our right, and tall trees with green leaves stood to our left. The dragonflies danced and chased each other in the heat of the afternoon, once in a while dipping down to kiss the stagnant glass of the water. Little ripples would move far away, disrupting the calm, but only for a moment until the fleeting notion of their mere existence had already been forgotten, and the glass plain would subside into its calm state once more. The beams of the sun melted over the tips and through the cracks in the still clouds on the horizon. The postman rode past on his bike, giving us a nod with a careless smile on his face.
I remember looking down at the orange dirt. Glancing to my right, being sure not to lift my head, I saw your brown hair blow over your left shoulder. The breeze, for an instant, caught your hair and tugged at it, suspending it in the air pocket behind you before letting it go, as it fell down against your back. Your shirt reminded me of a sailor: white, with dark blue pinstripes, the sleeves short to free your shoulders. You looked ahead.
We walked in silence for the next fourteen minutes. This was familiar. Our feet slid against the loose pebbles in the wide path. We headed to the bus stop. A smile on your face, and your chin slightly upwards, you collected the completeness of the sun’s late descent.
The lonely bus stop, haloed by the sun, created a long shadow. Our own shadows disappeared as we walked into the shade. We turned, sat down, and small holes and imperfections in the wood against our backs let thin rays of light through, illuminating the dust in the air ahead of us. We sat apart. We both looked forward. Two beads of sweat slid together down my forehead. It was a little cooler behind the wood.
“It was hot today, wasn’t it?” I asked. I just wanted to break the silence that was all to normal, even though it didn’t bother me much. “Yeah it was!”, you replied with an almost desperate enthusiasm. We both looked down and away.
“You know, I’ll miss you." you said. The silence that followed was long. The cicadas sung louder than before, and once every few seconds you’d shuffle your feet, as we sat on that bench.
Far off somewhere, the lone rumble of a bus heading our direction became barely noticeable. In those seconds leading up to its arrival, time passed slow. I slid my hand across the splintery wood bench, to touch the softness of your fingertip. Your finger felt petite and gentle, it felt warming and inviting. I slid my hand away, again over the uneven old bench. Somewhere off in the distance, a baby cried, and the echo of a man was yelling at a woman. Somewhere else a dog barked at nothing.
The grey metal bus pulled up. It squealed and halted slowly like an old machine too tired to keep working. The door folded open. Your head was still down, your hair covered your eyes, but I could still tell you were looking away. You stood, and I wanted to stand too. I wanted to hug you, to smell that lovely deep citrus smell of your hair. But I didn’t. I sat there, eyes closed, like an old, hunchbacked lonely man. Opening my eyes to see my untied sneakers crossed beneath my knees, I didn’t want to look up. I knew that if I looked up now, you would look back too.
A stillness filled the air around us, and the smell of gasoline entered our noses. It made my head spin just a little. Not that it wasn’t spinning enough already. The sound of every step of yours was a deep drum. Your every step coincided with the beating of my heart, as I sat in that old wooden bus stop. Every second passed, felt like an eternity. Time flowed past me, as I sat there frozen.
A man inside the bus, his voice sounding alien and distant, said to you, “All aboard for a direct line to Tokyo.” Those words themselves seemed even to resonate into the stillness that was around us. I felt my throat closing up, and my chest was pressing to escape my ribcage. I looked up. There you were, facing away while standing on the stairs of that bus, frozen in time. What were you thinking? You turned your head, only slightly, with a quick movement. I could see the side of your face. Upon your cheek a single tear, in solitude, cascaded down a cliff into thin air, catching as many glimmers of light as possible on it’s way down.
The bus doors folded, straightened like an accordion being stretched, playing a remorseful song. It closed with a quiet click.
The bus rumbled again, and started to pull away down the endless path. You looked ahead in your seat. The lonely afternoon sun shone onto your window, casting shadows over your nose and eyes. I watched you as the metal tube pulled away. I looked down instead of turning my head to watch the bus fade away. I was widowed to something that was never mine.
A single green leaf descended from a tree across the street and was blown down the path after the bus. I could smell my tears as they filled the empty holes of my nose. I could taste the salt as it dripped into my dry mouth. I clenched my teeth tightly together, and could do nothing but endure the pain and suppress my sudden solitude. A small imperfection in my breathing came when I looked ahead, and I thought to myself the fleeting words “I love you” that I never said.

I have spesicfic smell when it come to the most happiest day of my life. Its a strong men perfume and very common one too, so everyday I will reminded by that day
When I was little my grandma would "make" a lotion that was actually just a bunch of different lotions mixed together, but it smelled beautiful and I would put it on just so I could hold my hands up to my face and smell it. She forgot what lotions she mixed to make it, so I haven't smelled it in over ten years and forgot about it. This Christmas, my Aunt from the other side of my family gave my sisters and me self care kits with Ocean Mist scented lotion, so I put some on, smelled my hands, and instantly recognized the smell and was teleported back in time. I remembered so many memories that I had forgotten. My grandma is still alive, but its nice to have more memories of her. Its amazing how smells effect people.
I feel like we see everything for a reason. Even if it’s 5 years later. But most of us are here in 2020 but hey we’ve made it this far. I won’t lie, I’m terrified for what’s going to happen in the future but good things take time I guess. We are living as much as we can right despite what’s happening. Sure things could be better but it could also be worse. Anyways thank you for this it’s very cool 😌

“Is this really the life I was supposed to live? The path I was meant to follow.” They spoke aloud turning to the red haired boy beside them. “Is this... the end? Where do we go? Everyone is gone...” their blue eyes stared looking for a response.
But the red haired boy could only look at them... he didn’t know what would happen, there was hardly anyone left alive. He looked behind the two of them to see those who were left. A small girl, their teacher, a villain who had joined them in the fight of heroes, a brown haired hero tending to the other wounds... and a boy, body broken practically beyond repair.
“I don’t know” the red haired boy responded looking to his blue winged friend again. He gave a small smile “but we have each other... and I know there are parts of our land untouched by this battle. We can live normally. No more heroes or villains here. Just people with odd abilities that give them the sense of self.” He suggested tears welling up in his crimson eyes.
The blue winged friend hugged him tightly, feeling themselves cry as well. “I’d like that...” the murmured, hearing the waves from the not so distant shore. “I’d like that a lot...”

Exactly what I thought! Sea of Voices is quite emotionally moving and so is this ambient rendition of Goodbye To A World. It’s so soothing, yet tear-jerking as well.

It's the end of days.
You and Jordan are sitting on the edge of the fallen tower in the suits that were given to you, watching what seems like a thousand suns set. Jordan's condition isn't getting any better. They get sicker and sicker by the day, and you can't stop the disease no matter what you do. You feel a pressure on your hand and look over. Jordan has taken your hand and is looking at you. You assume they are anyway, you can't see their face under their helmet. A broken siren wails in the distance, but it almost sounds like a song. You two sit there in that moment for what seems like hours. You hear more war jets fly by you. Jordan drops your hand and begins saying something.
"Thank You"
You can barely make out what they're saying.
"I'll say goodbye soon,"
You snatch Jordan's hand out of desperation.
They look over
"Though it's the end of the world,
Don't blame yourself,"
You begin tearing up and put Jordan's hand up to the visor of your helmet, trying to cry into it.
"now,"
Jordan scoots closer to you and puts your head on their shoulder, repeating the same sentiment to you over, and over, and over, trying to comfort you with the few words they still have the energy to say.
More jets.
More tanks.
More death.
Jordan stands up after a bit and slowly steps to the edge of the fallen behemoth. They beckon you to join them.
You do.
You hold hands looking over the edge at the fighting and bombs on the horizon for a few minutes, and then Jordan releases your hand and reaches up to their helmet.
"Thank you"
You try to stop them, but you can't.
"I'll say goodbye soon"
Their helmet unlatches with a "chk" and is lifted off their head.
"Though it's the end of the world"
They're breathtaking.
"Don't blame yourself, now."
You take off your own helmet.
"And if it's true," You say,
"I will surround you,"
Jordan hugs you. You hug back.
"and give life to a world
that's our own"
The hug breaks and you two stare at each other, then face towards the ledge.
Jordan nods...
and you step off.

The world seems to break as you plummet,
but you don't care.
You and Jordan pull towards each other as you fall for a final embrace...
as you hit the ground.
Thanks for reading! I really enjoyed making this. I chose the name "Jordan" for the other character because it's pretty gender neutral. The idea was to let you imagine anyone in that role as Jordan.

yoooo imagine a puzzle/sandbox game with this soundtrack where you awaken on an abandoned planet, with no memory of who you are or how you got there, just 2 things you know: how to survive, and how to save everyone. because you are the key to the planet. your touch activates incredible technology with just a touch, and the planet senses your every move as soon as you activate it (imagine the planet activates right at 5:00 >:00). you meet a friendly spirit of the past that guides you to the activation and teaches you the technology at 8:00! after activating, you’re let loose to wander and complete puzzles to piece together what happened. at around 13:40 perhaps you encounter your first puzzle! your mission is to figure out how to unlock the world after activating and save everyone... but in the process of wandering and figuring it all out, you slowly begin to unlock memories that show how the people you’re saving are evil. they’ve done terrible things- especially to you in the process of creating the key to the planet that you are. in the end you’re faced with a final choice: rescue or betray the people of your past!

this song, makes me feel so many emotions. one of them being, about a group chat.
eventually, all members of the group chat will die, leaving the group chat silent. forever.
and imagine.. generations later, someone comes back. maybe the daughter to a member of the chat, maybe a distant descendant. they stumble upon this little capsule of time. They look back, read the messages. they see the side that their ancestor never showed to them. maybe its the trickster, maybe its mean, maybe its even a hidden goofy and nice side. maybe its even something strange, or not accepted now, or maybe its just them talking about themselves. maybe they were a therian/otherkin. maybe they were a new sexuality. maybe they weren't even human, not fully at least. you send one message, to the forever offline accounts.

The once silent and abandoned capsule of memories, now thrives with new life. people looking back at their ancestors, laughing at funny jokes, or crying at their last message. now there will be more, until the cycle continues. eventually the tech supporting this platform will be abandoned, old and dusty. no one would use it anymore. yet always, the cycle may continue.

"oh, hey there! I did too. wonder how old all these messages are"
until the cycle will stop. maybe all the descendants of the groupchat dies, maybe humanity as a whole dies. maybe all traces of the site are destroyed, we may never know.
but in the end, this single groupchat brought memories upon generations and generations. laughs and sobs, bright and cheery moments, sad and dreary moments. pretty much every emotion that can be conveyed through text on a screen, stored in this small box of code, recording every message sent.
This is the sound of ascension.
How did you make it ? I mean if you slow down a song like this it will sound very 'robotic' due to the slowdown. Did you put it in a Reverb or somthing ?
Audacity's 'Paulstretch' effect allows for the stretching of sounds without giving it that robotic effect, but instead causes a very ethereal effect, especially at greater distortion factors.
