this song is so nostalgic to me, a bittersweet nostalgia that is always there, beneath all of your feelings. A bittersweet memory that you will never experience again. I listened to this song nonstop 5 years ago, it was a bad time but then there were good times. Friends you were so close to but never close enough. Not close enough to keep. You get better and then your friends get worse, and you watch as they drift away while you rise up. You will never meet those people again, the ones you thought were your everything. But really you just hadn't made real friends yet, real relationships. I'm glad I'm better, and I'm glad I'm not around them anymore but I miss them sometimes. how weird is it to miss anyone at all. I wish I could bunch up everyone I'm close to and never let them go but I know that won't happen. Life changes people and no matter how close you are to someone you will end up drifting apart at some point. I miss people and friends that probably don't even remember me. But I remember them. And I remember the hurt I felt when I realized they didn't care about me as much as I cared for them.

I imagine this playing as the final outro to an online game just before it will be finally shutting down. Where the players are in the same game but cannot see everyone around them, and slowly, players' servers will connect. People can use voice chat or chat message, but it will soon stop, just until the end of the song. Just 5 minutes of everyone getting together, no voice chat or text messages, all the while as the silence overcomes all that was, until the curtains fall.

30 min slomo period of people running to their loved ones from however far they are as it’s now doomsday and it’s the last few moments they’ll have to hold each other. Chaos ensues some never make it a bit close but the ones that do sit and say sweet words of love whilst crying out. The oblivious people in the world stay wherever they are eating ice cream, enjoying the sun, never noticing their inevitable demise. They go peacefully, but alone. The rich scramble to find a way off the planet still thinking only of themselves.
