I remember my first multiplayer game. I was 6 or 7. I was at a hotel and my game said; "xXJacklyn43Xx has joined the game." and I had just finished my home. "Hey." xXJacklyn43Xx said to me. "Hello there!" I replied. We spent half an hour trying to locate my home and I exclaimed in the chat, "I SEE YOU!" xXJacklyn43Xx was in a field and turned to me. We both sprinted towards each other and started jumping around. We spent the next hour playing together even thought we never physically saw each other.

I remember my very first group of friends that I made in 2014 in an internet café. We were a bunch of young kids who met playing CoD via a LAN party, until we eventually moved to Minecraft. Let me tell you, it was the first time I've ever experienced brotherhood. Whenever one of us struck diamond, I remember us fighting over it playfully. Just the 7 of us, messing around and having fun. Best part is when one of us finds an old modpack, the rest would download it too. Now, I've only got 3 of them, the other 4 slowly faded away from us just like that. These memories of me and my friends hanging out in this game about blocks, is one I'll always cherish till the end of my life. I hope that someday, when I have my own child, they feel the same feeling(s) I felt when I was playing with my boys.
This hits me hard. My friends have their own life now. Some of them went overseas to work. I'm the only one who keeps coming back to play our old game which is counter strike 1.6..
I had a friend who I would get on with everyday. I’d never known anyone like him, he was one of the best and most genuine people I had ever known. One day, he stopped responding. I remember the last thing he said the day before was “Aight, I’m getting pretty tired, I think I’m done with the games today. Peace out”. I messaged him at least 200 times, but he never responded. A few days later, I was contacted by his family and they explaining what happened. My friend took his own life, and he did it 10 minutes after he got off Minecraft. I remember those last words because he said them with tears in his eyes. That’s when I figured that his “peace out” was permanent. They found his body at the bottom of a lake along with his car. Everyone in my friend group was devastated, and he took his life because he thought he was alone. If you’re thinking the same, stop thinking. You’re not alone. And people appreciate you more than you think. We miss you Joey. Peace out.
I read this as I was walking up the stairs. I stopped, and dropped my phone as tears filled my eyes. I’m so sorry for your loss. If you need anything, I’m here for you.

*_As someone almost twenty years your senior, and had a blast during high school, the best advice I can give is to live in the moment. I know it’s a bit cliché, but it’s something I hope you take to heart. I have nostalgia for years in my life that you haven’t even lived yet. LOL It sounds like you’ve got a good perspective on this, and I wish you the best in life!_*
I’m also in my senior year, and I feel that. For me, if anything… mine’s coming back. I’m hoping to make lasting memories with everyone I know before I pack my life away and leave for college. Thanks for the reminder to start, and hoping your remaining time in school is spectacular :)

I still remember getting minecraft for Christmas in 2013, yet No matter how far I go, no matter how much I do and how many more games I play, there isn’t a game that touches my heart like minecraft, nor will there ever be, this game fortified my childhood, made me happy and made memories I can look back on and smile. Ive been playing minecraft since 2013, how times were so different then, I can’t lie, this has brought a few tears to my eyes, flooding my mind back with what we used to do and how much fun we had, those memories will never disappear or be replaced, they will stay with us, no matter what happens, they’ll be there with you. Forever.
No matter how many updates,no matter how weird the fandom gets,no matter how many times people acuse mojang of being "lazy", minecraft will always hold a special place in my heart.
Guys, dont let the bad part of nostalgia consume you, be glad for what it was, and if you have kids someday, you will be able to share and create more magical moments with them.
gy0 You didn’t even need the music the comments were sad enough and the music made it... sadder. I miss the days when you first killed the ender dragon... I don’t think I ever went complete survival and killed the ender dragon.. Or it was too long ago.. I miss those days
I never had any friends growing up, I didn’t ever have that group to hangout with, I never had that group to play with, however this still makes me so emotional from just loving my own experiences of exploration and innocence, as a kid and even now I never needed anyone, this game has taught me so much, absolutely incredible
I wouldn’t call myself a Minecraft veteran, but I’ve been playing since 1.8 and still love the game, but man, back then when I was on a single player world and just figuring out what everything does while this music played in the background, it was absolutely magical. Quite a few years after that, around 2019-2020, I went on a random multiplayer server because it was the weekend or something and I was bored, and I met these players who were about my age, and man we had so much fun together. After that, I didn’t seen them again, and I didn’t even remember it until one of my friends invited me to a little SMP they had been working on with friends. So I joined the discord and hopped on the Minecraft world, and turns out, it was them, from all those years ago, and turns out I knew a lot of them already as personal real life friends. One of them remembered my name and my old Xbox live account from the time we played together, and we started to get to know each other, and, a few months after that, we fell in love. I’ve never before encountered someone as likeminded to me as her before, nor have I encountered anyone as kind and as caring and intelligent and loving as her. In fact, she’s going to come visit in about a week and a half. I know I’m probably gonna be viewed as another sappy comment, but I really wouldn’t be who I am right now without Minecraft. Thank you, mojang. For everything.
I would do anything to have that feeling of finding diamonds for the first time or just messing around with my friends on a server or something. Now I have school work all night and can never feel that way again. I’m just reading all of the comments of this video and on the edge of tears

2016-2019, me and my brother were ALWAYS playing Minecraft. Remember doing these diamonds or iron houses? Remember playing with your bro on split screen for the first time minecraft minigames. Past, now, my brother changed, he grew up, he got graduation. And i, changed too. Minecraft was my childhood, the most nostalgic thing for me. I was playing with so much hapiness, now if we play Minecraft again, we will all get that feeling "nah, this ain't what i remember." I remember watching those herobrine and entity 303 videos and believing them. For me minecraft was a part of my life. Remember that one western town map in online? Remember "The Cric" map? Minecraft lost its simplicity. Thank you minecraft, because of you, i had a great childhood. One of the best, and then, i look at me now. I don't know myself no more. I changed, too much. I started changing my personnality to gain others respect. Minecraft was making you forgetting everything, you just build your house. And a couple of weeks ago, my brother deleted his PS4 account, losing all his progress and Minecraft worlds. Thank you for this priceless gift of hapiness that was Minecraft. I hope i sometimes could enjoy these moments more, oh yeah, enjoy them so more...
4 years later and it still hits really hard and makes me wanna cry. Now that I can't go back and enjoy those moments again, I know how valuable they are.
I’m just looking at the two dates and it’s crazy because it was like yesterday when we were introduced to this complete diamond of a memory 😢 Minecraft will always live our hearts no matter what

"Hey, i will be married in next 2 years." "Really? I will be there!" My last conversation with a friend on online that we used to talk for 2 years straight. Been around 4 years or more. I couldnt find her. Yet.
The sun glimmers across the land. Wheat crops and bushes rustle beneath the dense leaves of the tall trees. Chickens cluck happily, nibbling seeds from the ground. The mountains stand tall and mightly in the background. Steve and his dog rest under a tree, taking in the entire scene. He says to his dog, "This is paradise."
Nah cuz when I was little I was scared of survival and would just build whatever I wanted in creative. There was no politics and controversy. I remember my parents started a Minecraft server with me and they built huge castles and would help me build my first house. I remember how excited I was when the lava bucket was released and I could do funny stuff with it. I always imagined awesome woller coasters, and would make them. I found ways for skeletons and zombie pigmen to fight. I didn't care about anything else that was going on. I just loved Minecraft. I met my best friend because we both liked Minecraft in 1st grade. Them were the days.
It's hard to imagine that one day you will- - Place your last crafting table - Chop down your last tree - Defeat your last zombie - Craft your last sword - And place your last block...

These songs evoke a feeling that I do not feel else where. It’s a feeling that involves nostalgia, sadness, and overall just makes you wanna cry. I remember when I was about 10, I used to hop on Minecraft every Friday after school, and play until dinner. Bro i cried my eyes out listening to this masterpiece and just remembering the good old days , this beautiful game is my childhood and i belive , that many people have the same feelings as i do . This game truly was a big piece and one of the best things in my childhood. Just remembering , not knowing how to craft or do anything on my ps3 world , building a big house of dirt , finding diamonds , what a beautiful time . I wish that i could experience everything one more time ...
This game captured the best of of this era in essence and made it into a game, the music reflects so much I can't even begin to explain what I feel, I left a piece of me back in 2015 when I was happiest and that piece comes back to life when I hear this song
Damn this reminded me of me and my friends always playing together every weekends on MCPE, we used to play Minecraft in creative mode and give ourselves OP stuff but now we just don't have the time to play with each others anymore. I miss it man, I wish I could just go back in time and cherish the moment. 😢
I recently rejoined my oldest minecraft world with my dad when we used to play 10 years ago together, the nostalgia and childhood memories came back and it was the most beautiful experience. If you also played in the past and you are reading this now just remember how this game made so many childhoods a wonderful memory to look back to.
I started playing around the same age and I remember turning on mobs and being scared shitless that a zombie will come after me. And here I am with a drivers license, a car, a job and almost graduated. Time flies so fast. you dont realise that as a little kid but after sime time it hits you.
Ive been playing Minecraft for over 10 years now. To this day i still play it on occasion (the 2 week hyperfixations). And even though I've heard these songs every year for the past 10+ years, as time goes on, they've slowly felt more bittersweet, almost as if hearing the music is hearing my youth slowly grow more distant each day. I graduated high school a few years ago, i have a job, ive made new friends, and grown distant with old ones, my mental health hasn't been the best, and im still trying to find my footing. My life is nothing like it was all those years ago. So while hearing this music feels like a fading memory, it also feels like the one thing connecting me to my childhood. And how after so much has changed in my life, after so many hardships and downspirals, Minecraft is still here. And for a moment, im that 10 year old boy playing minecraft on the old xbox. The memories may be fading, but the feeling has and always will be there. Thats why, no matter what happens to me in the future, i will always have something to bring me back to the summer of 2014 when life was so much easier.
thank you for bringing back old memories i remember playing on my grandad's xbox 360 and remember the tutorial worlds this is bringing me tears. thank you for this nostalgic moment you bring everyone many thanks 😢😢😢😭😭😭🥺🥺🥺

Great point lad. I missed my senior year memories, but oh man how I missed the thrill of 1st year in college. Keep making those memories!
