The 5 or 3 at the back debate is totally pointless. If you play 3 at the back, it becomes a 5 when you defend. The degree to which you are a 5 or a 3 depends on how often and how high the wing backs press. But when the opponent is on the front foot, of course the wide players come back and end up more or less aligned wiht the rest of the defence.

One thing I can completely guarantee is Gary Neville will never be in the same position Jamie Carragher was, the day Liverpool mauled Man United. It's impossible to be honest. Jamie will always have one over Gary, no matter what
A Manchester United team that's on fire, playing beautiful football, free scoring under any great manager with a world class team will never beat any version of Liverpool, no matter how poor and out of form they are. It's a guarantee.
The reason behind this is, Liverpool simply hate Manchester United way more than Manchester United hate Liverpool. Manchester United have way too many rivals and haters, that they may hate Liverpool the most from the lot, they just can't over power Liverpools hate for them.
Manchester United were in form, won a trophy, beat an in form Barcelona team and they were coming up against a Liverpool team that weren't in form and a little bit shaky and they still got humiliated to the point where not many Manchester United fans were even hurt, because they had gotten used to it

-Utd went from 2nd to 6th when he joined and the team played far worse
-Utd were much better without Ronaldo playing this season
-Weghorst done more in the World Cup knockout stages than Ronaldo ever has

-Ronaldo took Al Nassr from 1st to bottling the league
-Ronaldo didn’t have a single good game all season at the Prem or World Cup this season

If you watched United you'd realise the reason this season was better was because of Martinez and casemiro, went from conceding 57 to 43 and getting the most clean sheet. Then you look at goals and realise ronaldo was working miracles, they only scored 1 more goal this season yet everyone acts like we're back
