    Just been all round France on my 2019 Tracer GT. Love it, all day comfortable and carried loads of gear. I think you must have had it in B mode, cos it aint slow at all. STD is a good all round riding mode, A mode turns it into a hooligan for acceleration.
    Great bike.

      Yes i agree its a fantastic bike and i did say its fast but just not as fast as my z1000sx which is understandable. Thanks for watching i appreciate it

      It's a good engine and quick bike but it's no match for a litre bike. I've a gsxs1000f and my friend a z1000sx. The power is instant at any revs or gear. The tracer would be definitely more comfortable and I'd rather have one of those than the over priced bmw gs.

    Thought about the z1000 but opted for the tracer gt because I’m 2 up a lot of the time & it has a much better pillion seat. Had it just over a year & no regrets.👍

    You compare the power of a street legal race bike compared to a GT Cruiser!!

    Buy one! It's a great bike! Very versatile.

    I agree you must have had it in 'B' mode which really kills the max power put it in A mode and you'll feel like your driving a different bike

    Why would you want to use 6th gear at 30mph?

    Thanks for the video. How is it on a highway (motorway)? My friend has an FZ90 (MT09) which is supposedly same engine, and he claims that it rans out of steam at about 85-90mph...

    • @Crohniebiker
      @Crohniebiker  Před 5 lety +1

      I found it was good on the motorway Felix. The screen helps a lot and i found it was still pulling hard past those kind of speeds. I would say there's still plenty of power left for overtaking no problem .

    Really bad audio. A LOT of wind noise. A noisey helmet or bad wind protection?

    • @Crohniebiker
      @Crohniebiker  Před 5 lety +1

    Wow, I've been riding bikes and driving cars for over forty years and I never realised the herring bone lines in the middle of the road served as a bike lane!! Who would have thought!! I must have miss read the Highway code?!!

      @@michellebroderick311 Fortunately hatchings are usually only placed in short sections, where caution is required due to turn offs or corners, and living in Scotland I find the snake like B roads much more fun!! The main road north is in the process of being made full dual carriageway ( not before time) but has average speed cameras throughout it's length which is a bit of a bummer but does save lives. It was bad for accidents, bikes in particular, partially due to foreign drivers on the wrong side of the road. Triumph 900 Thunderbird Sports, twenty years old, retro styled to look like it was from twenty years before, yet with balance and handling which match those made twenty years later. You hear it coming from about 4 miles away, nimble as slimmer's bread of an even earlier era, a Bonneville it isn't, more aggressive in attitude, more nippy than a glen full of Scottish midges. I'm usually past stagglers before I get to the hatchings, if not drivers usually hang left to allow passage when they hear the throb up their derriere. Even toddling through town at 30mph it sounds like it's doing a lap at Silverstone and every head turns, I am considering up grading and sure there are some super fast alternatives now, but each one has it's little niggles and doubts and throws up some cause for concern. She's never misbehaved, got me out of some incredible situations stupid drivers have put her in and as I search for alternatives, what do I find? Lots of retro bikes, from every manufacturer, she's not twenty years old she was just born twenty years ahead of her time!! p.s. Thanks for your concern, just because I'm cautious doesn't mean I'm PATIENT!!

      @@michaellilley6725 I've driven in Scotland numerous times, and the roads are pretty good up there, however the vloggers riding was not questionable. Without prejudice would you also question filtering too

      @@Crohniebiker Yes I guess I have, it's never held me back though, usually got another one of two up my sleeve!! I was wondering if you could compare the Tracer to the Honda Crossrunner, which I believe is slightly more tame but slightly more refined. I'm intrigued by the V4 engine and looking to get myself a good handling, reasonably torquey tourer with some mod cons. I would love a Yamaha FJR 1300 but would need to wait till retiral (66) to afford one, by which time I wouldn't fancy handling the weight!!
