I also cam across from a an 400. I've done over 25k in just over 12 months.... and I love the bike. It has never failed me. Yes the an 400 will give you more weather protection but as a ride this wins hands down. I can throw it into a corner and it behaves like a motorbike...would I buy another one?.. in a heartbeat... what's not a forza 350.. comes from other honda motorcycles. No nasty surprises down the line... Good review..thanks Charlie...
Good work mate. Thanks for showing the seat height. Its always a problem for me now on new bikes...never used to be, and Ive owned the biggest , fastest bikes made... In regards to paint colour , I was told by a guy at a dealership, that red is the worst colour for fading. Probably not a problem in England, but it is here in Australia. My kawasaki has certainly faded on the front mudguard etc...its similar dark red to your honda...mind you Ive owned it 24 years. Ive faded a bit too! 😂🍺🍺🦘🦘
@stuartstibbs2069 thank you for the comments. We don't get much sunshine here in the UK, so I'm not too worried about the pant fading 🌞
@@Crohniebiker Yep. I know. Im English...lived in Oz all my life. One advantage is we dont have the rust problems that seem to slowly destroy vehicles and bikes in the UK.
Nice job there. Just get yourself some Dr. Pulley sliders, 10% lighter than your rollers are, and enjoy way longer service and better acc.
@sapte62 thanks, I'll give them a try next time 👍
Realistically, the only thing I wanted this for would be navigation, and as such, it's utterly without value. No-one should have music or use phone while riding.
@BelfastBiker I do find it quite good to be honest. I nearly always have my music on when riding. To me, it's much the same as driving a car . Thanks for watching 👍
I don’t want to upset you but a couple of months ago I purchased a Toyota Yaris cross which has 1500cc engine and a hybrid system. With town use plus motorway driving from the West coast of Cumbria to Kent and to Surrey and it has averaged 74.5 mpg.
@peterreece6547 yes it does surprise me how inefficient bike's are compared with car's nowadays. But I suppose the scooter is averaging 5500rpm up to 7500rpm Thanks for watching.
@@Crohniebiker I’m a retired motorcyclist of many years and I love two wheel motoring but these days in the second half of my 70’s I’m not sure I could trust myself on a m/cycle. Regarding my Toyota it has cvt transmission and in the 1960’s I drove DAF cars and vans which had belts and pulleys but they called it variomatic. My last Toyota a Yaris but not hybrid it had the cvt transmission. You might guess that I am a fan of belt and pulley transmission.
Thank you for sharing, Great work.
I'm still deciding between this and newly launched NSS250 here in Malaysia. Trading my CB500X as downpayment.
@blitzer25blitz62 I had a CB500X, and the ADV350 has very similar performances but the ADVis smoother .
Hello I have cb500x . You think it’s good choice to swap for nc750x ?dct
@arismous8586 I did it and I have to say the NC750DCT is a brilliant road bike .I have just returned from a 3000mile euro trip and it was like a Swiss watch all the way.
@@Crohniebiker have you any think be missing to you for cb500x?
@arismous8586 the only thing is that the 500X is better at off roading.
@@Crohniebiker what about the fun to ride ? The cb500x it’s more revving
Great video very helpfull , thanks for taking time to make it and share
@@MrWmclydesdale glad you found it helpful. Thanks for watching 👍
Such a big display but terrible designed, RPM space is useless since CVT - this area could be used for map or something else more practic.
Very helpful video and very well explained. Thanks. Love from Scotland, ❤ X ...
@inquisitive1911 thank you for watching. I appreciate it 👍
Why are you wasting so much time fiddling with that data screen? Who gives a damn. Just ride the bike which is what the damned thing was made for!
why the hell is a centre stand an extra ?
do you notice the 10 bhp difference ?
@realtime123 well the main reason I swapped my 500X was due to the way more relaxed engine on the motorway. And yes you can tell it has 10bhp extra but more importantly the 750 has bag's more torque.
15 gram rollers tweak the torque nicely on take off 0-100km in6.8 second ,with no affect at top speed.remove the inner tube in side air box and fit a land n air filter, for razor sharp handling and acceleration
I’ve had no issues at all with mine I love it just put an Arrow exhaust on it 😊
You are a right Norman …… i hope i never come across you ,on the roads mate
I have watched quite a few of your videos and have fallen in love with the NC750X and your videos Think I'll trade my BMW K1200S for an NC750X. Do you have a link to the phone holder that looks like a quad lock
@MichalJuul hi, thanks for your kind word's. I am currently in Europe on my NC750X and I have to say it's a fantastic touring bike 🏍 I don't have the link anymore for my phone holder but a quick search on ebay will come up with the right one. Thanks for watching 👍
@@Crohniebiker Thanks for your reply. I am also in Europe now. Living in Denmark City Holbaek Found the red quad and ordered for EUR 10.5 I bought the original quad lock for my motorbike a month ago and I paid EUR 134 for it
Great
Beautiful motorcycle!
Are you interested in the useless electronic stuff or the scooter😮
Yes, I do actually use it most days .I enjoy listening to music while I'm riding and the joystick is brilliant.
Very interesting and well explained.
Thanks for watching 👍
What is that thing from 'OXFORD' with the buttons on the left side from the handlebar?
That's for my heated grips, it gets cold here in the UK 🇬🇧
This is now my NT 1100DCT Didn't need to pay for the Voyager Pack as they were getting rid of the 2023 model even registered on a 24 plate.
Cool scooter and video, I'm thinking about purchasing one of these scooter........what is the price tag?
Hi thanks for watching 👍 I believe they are £5799 at the moment.
@@Crohniebiker but it's unfortunate that particular is not being sold in the United States for whatever reason(s).......does that price costs in American dollars? Or no?
@rhammond1963 that price is for UK pounds. We don't get the honda CT125 over here, unfortunately. I'd personally love one .
What I use to once a year was to blow that area out with a air line I included it in the service as I do all my own servicing, pick my new adv on Tuesday, from where you got yours from.
I think I will be doing the same thing from now on 👍
after your video I decided to purchase the ADV 350. It's two weeks now, and it's simply perfect for the big cities (i live in Rome), but I did some 300kms trips already, simply perfect. Thanks man
Thanks for watching I'm so glad you're enjoying you're new ADV
Hi, am interested In an adv350. I have a 400 burger so how do you find the performance against the burger....top speed and acceleration. enjoyed the video. Ps seems a lot easier to get to the drive without having to take loads of plastic off. Cheers, Eric
Hi I also had a burgman 400 but the older one. I can say the ADV350 beats it on performance and handling but the burger us more comfortable and better weather protection.
125Nm for the variator nut. Well thats according to the adv polini instructions. Just a point, aren't the rollers orientation sensitive?
Thanks for the info 👍 The rollers are just standard no left or right side that I could tell anyway 👍
I just done this and it's cured it 100% , I did the variator nut to 83nm and the clutch nut to 78nm. These are the listed torques from the Forza 300 workshop manual , Be nice to get a definitive answer but mine seems to be just fine . But the the other chap says 125nm so I'm not sure now
Oh and yes the rollers had an edge on them , which I noted almost like a little indentation right around one side , they matched with the blue pain points
Would like to see honda make a NX #500.FOR US OLD FARTS I WOULD LIKE TO THAT ...😮
Make the DCT.NX $500
Yeah that sounds like a bike I'd be interested in as I have previously had a cb500x . Both brilliant bikes 🏍
750 is manageable mind you. I’m 67 and slightly arthritic, so I see where you’re coming from.
That was a thoroughly entertaining and informative review. I love how fast your bike is off the line, that will never not be fun. I passed my mod1 a couple days ago, and my mod2 is set for the 22nd July. I’ve been riding a 125 for the last year, I felt that the mod1 was going to be the big hurdle, but I passed it easily in the end, so if I’m sensible, I hope the mod2 is going to be just a formality. The plan is to ride to the dealer the second I pass, trade in, and leave the dealer with this bike on the same day I pass.
Thanks for watching. Good luck with your mod 2 ,hope you fly through You will love the adv it's a fantastic bike 👍
I did the same as you. Test rode it twice and put a deposit down straight away. Absolutely fell in love with it. Mines in the matte jeans blue and I've opted for all the accessory packs!! 😁 Cannot wait - pick it up in a week ❤
They really are an under rated bike in my opinion, and a bonus is they're so good on fuel ⛽️ Thanks for watching 👀
Hi, do you also use the accessory harnas that you can activate in the fusebox with an extra relais? If so, is the relais you are installing necessary?
No the only reason I installed my own relay was because I don't want to overload the bikes harness with all my accessories. Hope this helps
@@Crohniebiker Thanks, that’s what I thought. My dad just bought a NC750 and he’s thinking about installing some extra options, so now we are looking for the easiest and safest way to do so. Thanks for the vid and reply.
Excellent video very informative I pick my new one up next week I like to do all my own maintenance so this was very interesting 👍👍
Thanks for watching I appreciate it 👍
well explained, thanks
I don't bother about it. I treat it as a squeaking brakes.
Great simple explanation , well done bud 👍
Thanks very much 😀
I had the same problem when I first purchased my used 14000 mile 2001 NSS250 Honda Reflex. At that time I had owned nothing but motorcycles and had little to no knowledge of CVT bikes or scooters. On take off it had a horrible shutter, from takeoff to around 12 mph, and sometimes a loud squeal only on acceleration up through 35 or 40 mph. An aftermarket racing clutch and matching clutch bell solved my shutter problem and a new Bando factory drive belt solved the sqealing problem. Previouse owner had put a cheap Chinese drive belt on it. Also dumped the rollers for sliders in the variator.
On wet weather its more noticeable. My sh300i with 50000miles also do that and already changed clutch. You clean it, judger disapeers and after a few miles is there again. Annoying at low speed but once the belt and clutch warms up its gone.
Yes I did find it was better once it warms a bit . I'll have see how it goes once I've done a few more hours o it . Thanks for watching 👍
Great video..thx for taking the time to share. I am sure we will all be doing this job at some point.
Great video. My sh350 is suffering judder at just 2000 miles. I'll point it out to my dealer at the next annual service.
Great vid Gaz👍👍👍
Yey 🔧😎
Having just got a Forza, good to know, looks to be just dust from natural wear of the belt and clutch plates. Great vid, one to follow if/when any get similar issue.
Thanks for watching 👀
Brilliant, nicely done and you saved a fortune! BUT, am disappointed we should have to do this at such low mileage - just done 2500 myself and was thinking 'nothing to do for years, wrongly!'. Also, even though debris was a few grams, where did it come from and what future problems are around the corner????
I believe it comes from the clutch shoes at the back and possibly just the rubbing up and down of the rollers at the front . Thanks for watching 👍
@@Crohniebiker Hopefully you might send the vid to Honda UK, it's concerning! I started with a twin 125 in the 60's, I still have a v twin 125 but they are traditional bikes, good as gold!
Did 30 k on my xmax 250 changed belt twice in life and rollers. Not this problem, it’s disgraceful Mr Honda - cheap clutch shoes
Never heard of running an engine in?
That's just an old myth from the day's when the tolerances were a mile out .👌
Oh my god I love these country rides with no music. These videos are great man!! Your little starting problem also bit me on my old Reflex when I first bought it. Honda has used that same brake lever switch for years. Learning curves can be a pain sometimes. Later man, gotta go for a scooter ride!!😁
I have a old scooter that I purchased with about 14500 miles on the clock 4 years ago. It is also a Honda, a 2001 NSS250 Reflex. Just this spring I turned 57000 miles on the clock and no that is not a typo, I ride the hell out of this thing. At the start of last year riding season I decided to do a ground up maintenance, new fuel line, new fuel filter, new vacuum lines, clean the carb (still didn't need it but did it anyway), valve adjustment, new tires, new drive belt, etc., you get the idea. I decided to go on a long trip out of state (I live in the USA) and was extremely happy with the highway fuel mileage of this thing. It is a 3.2 gallon tank and I reset the trip meter every fill up, a habit from having too many motorcycles in the past with no gas gauge. Other than potty breaks I ran 243 miles on the that first tank of my trip and at the first fill up I still had .4 of a gallon left in the tank which came out to 86 mpg... WOW, I have never had a motorcycle in my life to ever even come close to that. Great video and I hope to see many more from ya Crohnie!!
Thanks for your comments, I have always enjoyed scooters, the practicality and fuel millage is fantastic and this honda is by far the best one I've ever had . Thanks for watching 👀
Surprised the bike still moves with all that extra weight 😆
Good pratical upgrades there CB, Enjoy😎
