    I've been trying all of your recipes for different drippers in my origami dripper, and was surprised how well some worked.
    I would love to see another update or additional thoughts you had about the origami dripper with the kalita filter. Please keep up the great work!

    Thanks for the quick comparison with the kalita wave 185. I was deciding between larger ceramic flat bottom brewers and this was one I was considering along with ceramic kalita wave and the blue bottle dripper.

    Would you recommend Origami or Lili Dripper? Currently using Switch and Cores Gold Filter and want to try a new brewer. Also, what sizes do you recommend for 15-20g.

    • @coffeewithapril
      @coffeewithapril  Před rokem

      They are both great brewers. In terms of grind size choose the one that gives you the recommended total brew time.
      Perhaps you should check out the Flower dripper?

      @@coffeewithapril Thanks. But I was asking which dripper size should I get for 15-20g ground hehe. Heard flower dripper is not that big of a difference from Hario V60 so.

      @@raymondfoo9045 We would recommend the April Brewers. Outside of that most of the brewers would do well within that range of dose.

      @@coffeewithapril Besides brewer, I have been thinking whether it is essential to get a temp controlled electric kettle. For now I have been boiling water from normal household electric kettle and pour to my little gooseneck kettle once it is boiled. Definitely some lost of temperature from the transfer, but I have been getting pretty good results because I mostly use light roasted beans which requires high temperature. And as the water cools down during further pour, kind of helps with not over extracting at later phases also. What do you think?

    • @coffeewithapril
      @coffeewithapril  Před rokem +1

      @@raymondfoo9045 We often brew with temperatures between 88 - 93 'C. It would always be a good idea to use a temp controlled kettle.
