- Wild Turkey Master’s Keep Cornerstone Rye is the first rye whiskey that Wild Turkey has released in that Master’s Keep line. For this one-of-a-kind Limited Edition, Eddie Russell hand-picked and set aside a secret lot of his oldest and boldest rye whiskey barrels, all aged from 9 to 11 years old. Only about 16,000 bottles were produced, bottled at 54.5% ABV or 109 proof and non-chill filtered and ages at their Camp Nelson warehouses. This is available now with an MSRP of about $175

It's not about the whiskey, it's the people you share it with!

Great review, Jason. That's a pretty hard sell even for a Wild Turkey Fan at that price. I hope they reconsider their price points for future releases. "Gobble Gobble!"
I just wanted to say that you are my favorite whiskey reviewer. Your historical and product information is spot on and complete as I need. I do watch about 10 or more reviewers so you top all of them including Whiskey Vault. Thanks for your good work.
Wow thanks so much Ben. I really appreciate that alot. I try hard to bring honesty and sipping experience as well as history. Cheers Ben!
Great review & I love your honest assessment at the summation. I have appreciated if not always loved the Masters Keep series. I am excited to try it! I'm a Turkey fan-Gobble Gobble!
Thanks for the honest review! I’ll be looking for a pour of this. Gobble Gobble!
Great review! Gobble gobble. I always enjoy your content and was very excited to see you review this bottle.
Great review! The finish has me intrigued. Hoping to find one of these turkeys in the wild. Gobble gobble
I appreciate the honesty, as I know you love the WT 17 year bonded so it shows you’re not brand biased. Good job. 👍. Gobble, Gobble!
Gobble gobble, Jason! Great review as always, and I appreciate the honesty on the value for that price.
Jason, thanks for another great review. You have really helped me to develop a better palette for Bourbon and a deeper appreciation for Wild Turkey. Gobble Gobble.
Cheers Jonathan! So happy to hear that. There's so much to explore. Cheers and good luck to you and hope you win a sample!
Gobble gobble whiskey lovers! I have been looking forward to this review for quite some time. The fact that the pepper was such a strong aspect of this bottle leads me to believe I'll want to buy one. Although I'll probably go for a pour before taking the plunge at the price. Thanks for the great review!
Great review....as a Rye lover this one looks amazing.." would love to Gobble Gobble one of these up!
Great review! Sounds delicious! Would love to try It. Gobble gobble.
As always, thanks for your honesty, Jason!
Anytime Aimee!
Super review of available ryes. Jason, your reviews are the most useful on the net. You're my second favorite whiskey reviewer. No one can touch the gold standard that is Ralfy for information and entertainment. But you are miles ahead of the silliness that is Rex and Daniel. Keep up the great work!
That means alot Randall. Thanks so much. Being second behind ralfy the legend I will take all day! Thanks buddy.
Gobble gobble!
I loved your review as always!
Thanks for always keeping it real.
Thanks for the great review. Really hope I can locate this one. Gobble Gobble!
Just picked this up. Really loved it. A little pricy in Canada but I have to admit I throughly love it.
Love me some turkey! Thx Jason. Gobble gobble
Thanks for the review, GOBBLE, GOBBLE!
Great review!
Great review, thanks for the feedback. I had a chance to grab one for $199 but passed. I'm the kind of casual rye guy like you mentioned. But I'm also a huge WT enthusiast, and have a couple of the other Masters Keeps on hand. Will definitely have to look for a pour at a bar sometime first. Gobble Gobble!
Great review Jason! I have the Decades and like it a lot. This one sounds good. Gobble gobble!
Really enjoyed your reviews, cheers! Gobble Gobble
GOBBLE GOBBLE! Great video Jason! Love your channel. One of these days I'll get a glass and coin ordered.
Thanks so much! Let me know when you're ready!
Awesome review Jason!! It's hard to find these gobble gobbles around here but this is one I may look to pick one up on the secondary. Cheers broski
Great review as usual! Gobble Gobble!!
Thanks for the review. I’ve been on a rye kick lately. My favorites so far are Kentucky Owl 11 batch 2 and Michters 10 yo Rye. Close behind them is the Knob Cree 115 store pick recently had. Sadly I didn’t like the KC CS 2009 that everyone raves about. I’d love to try this one alongside the KO and the M10! Here’s to hoping I win. Gobble gobble!
Epic review Jason. Big fan of Michters barrel strength rye. Cant go wrong with the turkey tho. gobble gobble.
Medicinal cherry note ooh no, luckily all the other notes you described sounds great! That minty note you describe is something I love on a good rye. Awesome review on a great whiskey. Cheers brother!
Gobble gobble, i must pick this one up.Thank you for the review.
I always loved Wild Turkey. It’s been the source of some very interesting experiences. lol
GOBBLE GOBBLE
Great review Jason! GOBBLE GOBBLE!
Great review Jason! I love Wild Turkey but Cornerstone is a hard sell for me for the money. I’ll leave the sample for the other fine subs. Great recommendations for Pikesville, Rye 101 and Russell’s Rye. Cheers Jason! 🥃👍🇺🇸
Another excellent video. I haven’t gone for the pricey turkey bottles yet but this sounds good. Gobble gobble.
Another great review. Thanks!! Gobble, gobble!!
Sounds like a very nice Rye!! The Kentucky Mash Bill of the Ryes is what I really enjoy. Seems to give the whiskey a little more complexity. Great review Jason!! Cheers friend!!🥃
Great review Jason. I was considering buying this one, but will hold off based on your review. "Gobble Gobble".
Great review Jason!! Gobble gobble
Thanks for the video! Gobble gobble!
Great review. GOBBLE GOBBLE.
Love me some Wild Turkey 101 Rye! Hopefully I’ll be able to sample the Cornerstone, Gobble Gobble!
Awesome review as always bud! Gobble Gobble
Gobble, Gobble. Honest review especially about price. Thank you.
Great review!!!
Cheers from Oklahoma
Thanks for the very generous sample giveaway, brother! I’m a fellow drummer, and of course I love the juice, so I’m digging your channel. Cheers, bro. GOBBLE GOBBLE
David
Hell yeah man. Thanks so much. Your in for a sample. Try and tune in Wednesday to see if you win. Cheers!
The Mash and Drum sweet, brother! I’ll definitely be tuned in if I can. I hope your days is going well. Cheers!😀🥃
Love Pikesville as my go to Rye... price is a factor, “Gobble Gobble!”for a chance to try this one and judge for myself🤙 thanks for the review
Another nice review... GOBBLE GOBBLE! 👍🥃
I find ryes to be much more interesting these days than bourbons. From 20 dollar bottles to 100+ they’re all amazing in their own way! Great review! “Gobble gobble”
Nice review! Gobble gobble!
Nicely done. Gobble gobble.
Jason, thanks for the review. Haven't tried a WT rye yet, but looking forward to it. "Gobble Gobble!"
Just watched the review thanks for a another great review ....Cheers Gobble Gobble
Thanks Jason. “GOBBLE GOBBLE!”
Hey man, happy to watch your review. I believe we had very different experiences with this bottle but sadly we could only shoot it some hours after opening the bottle. Ours comes out Monday! Cheers man, glad you got one of these bad boys!
Curious to hear your thoughts fellas. Cheers!
I love the 101 rye so I was really excited to see this coming out. 175 is a lot though. Gobble Gobble
Well this just sounds delish!! 🙌😎🥃🥃
Solid review as always! Gobble gobble.
Great review. I will definitely buy a pour at my favorite bourbon friendly restaurant. Gobble Gobble!
Gobble gobble what a review! Love your show thanks for all the hard work.
Thanks Jon!
Gobble Gobble Nice review Jason. Most reviewers would be too timid to give less than a rave review to a major manufacturer. You handled it well.
Very intrigued by this rye! "Gobble Gobble!"
great review " Gobble Gobble"!!
Great review! I really gotta get my hands on this one...or at least a pour at a bar haha.
As always, thanks for the content. Gobble Gobble
In regards to price of this, rye is more expensive compared to corn for bourbon just something to keep in mind. But love wild turkey and hope to see more wt rye product in the future with the guidance of Bruce. Gobble Gobble
Yeah good point and I do get that but still wish it was priced like the others. The finish on this however is unreal
This is both true and likely not the real reason. Rye costs more but not enough to explain the difference. MSRP and retail is not usually purely based on costs alone, they are pitching this as a collectible and there's a growing demand (or so they tell us). I feel that RR rye 6 is also a bit steep for me but I don't hold it against them. It is a great distillery and if they're profitable, even rich, there'll be plenty for all of us 😋
Great review! Gobble gobble
Gobble Gobble, cheers Jason.
Man, that's a pretty sweet bottle with a spicy price! Gobble Gobble!!
I picked up the Single Barrel Rye, underwhelming so far, tasting like a slightly better Bulleitt Rye. Fingers crossed, I’d love to try that Cornerstone. Gobble Gobble!
Well done Jason! Gobble gobble
Gobble Gobble! Great review 👍
Great review as always Jason, the Wild Turkey Master's Keep Cornerstone is kind of a pricey rye so my preference at $50 would be the Willet 4 yo Rye at barrel proof. But I do wonder sometimes what the Booker's Rye and the Whistle Pig Boss Hog have over the other rye expressions. Cheers to the best drams!
Great review, Jason. I would really like to see an update review of this on a live stream after it has had a few months to open up. Gobble Gobble
Will definitely be re visiting this one
Nice review. Not a big rye person so definitely going to look towards another option. I'm sad to say all of the other ryes you recommended aren't available near me other than the pikeville rye. Gobble Gobble!
Gobble Gobble......Great review!
Great review bud! Just picked up a bottle today. I didn't enjoy paying $170 for it. I can't imagine that it's worth that kind of money and based on your review, it isn't! Haha oh well still gotta try it. Cheers!
You will be impressed by the finish but curious to get your thoughts as well buddy.
Don't have any rye in my collection. Thanks for the suggestions. "Gobble Gobble!"
Gobble Gobble! Greetings from Sitges!
Gobble gobble Great Review!
Sounds good but $175, I’m ballin on a budget. Gobble Gobble
Have not seen any on the shelves in any of the stores I go to. I would also think it is a little pricey. Good job, Gobble Gobble.
gobble gobble. Good review!
I saw the podcast you did with this. it seemed like you and RareBird101 enjoyed this more together than you did alone. But, that's the way whiskey goes. Gobble Gobble!
We did. But had to give it some time and really sit with it to see how it went. It's very good but 200 for this is a bit steep
gobble gobble Jason, i have a feeling this will be an impressive rye once that bottle opens up. I have the Russel's single barrel rye and that wasn't at its best until about 1 month opened. I still think I'll get this as soon as I see it.
The age is showing through more now. Believe me it's a fantastic rye. The finish is insane. I wish it was a bit more consistent on the front of the palate as well
Great review, also enjoyed the live with David. Hope I win...gobble, gobble, gobble!!! cheers🦃🥃
Good luck Stellar!
Great review, gobble gobble
GREAT REVIEW buddy! This one sounds interesting but at that price and the availability and quality of the Russell's Reserve and 101 Rye I may just stick with those, Cheers Maverick!
No Gobble Gobble here, this seems to be a great bottling (never tried it yet I had to say), Cheers, Jason !
Old Forrester Rye!! $20 and damn good!! Gobble Gobble
Great review Jason, also really enjoyed the live stream with Rarebird101. Gobble Gobble!
Thanks Chris
When I see the Masters Keeps in the store, they are usually below msrp a little bit. I think I got my decades for $120, makes it easier to purchase than at a steep $175 price point. Gobble gobble 🦃
If you see this at 125-150 is a buy. Cheers
Thanks for your thoughts on this one. Was on the fence, but I don’t think you’ve pushed me to the point of picking it up. Sounds good, but that price point... so just have to sip on my stash of Michters BP 😃 cheers and gobble gobble
Yes!! The BP is sweeter than this but this really is a fantastic rye. Cheers.
I just got the Cornerstone to finish out the set. I love it!!! Worth it!! I would like to purchase a coin Sir. "Mash and coin".
It's pretty delicious ain't it. That finish! Email me at jaycallori@gmail.com and i can get you a coin
The price point is an interesting complexity an one has to consider age, and availability. So many lesser , Weller 12, whiskeys go for close to that on secondary. That being said, it sounds like a goal oriented whiskey to celebrate success, and great family outings. Great review. I would say the size of the pour you did, says how you really feel, rather you agree with the price. Gobble gobble
It is...If this was 150 I think its a buy. But at 175-180...200 with tax...just makes it tough with alot of great affordable ryes. I agree this is a goal whiskey or a celebration whiskey, If you're a rye fan...you will love this. But if your a casual rye drinker. There are other options without breaking the bank.
Old Forrester Rye....$20 and damn good!! Gobble Gobble
Pine Bro. 4 Life!! Gobble gobble!
A little out of my price range, but a nice review. Thanks. Gobble Gobble
I've only had the 101 it's the only one available in my area goble goble
think i'll stick to the russell's 6 year..the price is right!..thank you jason for the fine review..gobble gobble.
Had 2 chances to purchase, but couldn’t pull the trigger on $199... GOBBLE GOBBLE
GOBBLE GOBBLE!
