Два года назат промазал таким раствором углы с уличной строны, где постоянно льёт дождь. Теперь с внутренней стороны балкона отсутствуют сырые места. Раствор просто потрясающий. Не шелушиться и не оьваливается, т.к. пропитка проникающая. Срок хранения в бутылке неограничен. С приветом из Туркменистана.
Это где же в Туркмении постоянно льет дождь? 40 лет прожил в Небт_Даге и дождя ждали как праздника!

Only do this in a good ventilated room or outdoors.
And be aware of the fire hazard (ie. dont smoke while doing this, and no open flames).
should work with oil based paints...but not water based paints.
It is an old trick which, among other things, is very useful in waterproofing tile joints. The solvent for the silicone should be alcohol based. It can be plain alcohol or something similar like isopropyl alcohol.

В эту жидкость добавил краски и плохо размешал. Покрасил древко топора ради эксперимента. Сам не ожидал такого эффекта. Несколько лет ручка как новая, легко моется, не набухает после дождя и не рассыхается на солнце, не скользит при работе, красивая, хорошо различима в траве, на стройке. Но самое главное - приятно держать в руке, благодаря тому, что размешал не до однородности. Мягкая, бархатистая поверхность. Я её называю «резиновая краска».

Пленка на основе пенопласта разрушается от ультрафиолета. Силикон более устойчив
Пенопласт в ксилоле хороше тоже растворяеться.В качестве клея.

I used to do this for my tent and old motocycle clothes, really excellent results (solvant terpentine).
Unfortunatelly, it catch dusts and make kind of stains...
But really waterproof under big rain.

OMG! This is just fantastic. A few tears ago I got laminated flooring in my whole house and the flooring in the kitchen is in a terrible mess. The flooring is all lifting and swelling at the edges because of water ingress. Laminated flooring is not waterproof at all and the guys that laid it didn't tell me this, all they wanted was to be paid for laying the flooring. Turns out the laminated flooring is just made of MDF and that is not a waterproof material at all. MDF is an engineered wood composite made from leftover hardwood or softwood fibres, resin, and wax. It is created by breaking down wood fibers into a pulp, mixing them with a bonding agent, and then pressing the mixture into thick sheets under high temperature and pressure. It is often used as a cost-effective alternative to solid wood for furniture, cabinets, and other wood products. It's OK for furniture but I'd not recommend it for any type of flooring that will get wet. I could have painted the edges of the flooring before it was laid if I'd known about this, making the edges completely waterproof.

Many people gave good ideas like White Spirits ftom Australia, Isopropyl Alcohol etc., But you may have not thought about it.. But giving correct defined name of solvent is needed to get Best Results that you displayed. However Thanks again for video. 😊
Solvent is nothing more than a mixture of hydrocarbons, namely aromatic and unsaturated cyclic ones with an admixture of a minimum set of naphthenes and paraffins
it is a hydrocarbon based solvent
It might be turpentine (or equivalent)
It's acetone

Try acetone. It's a solvent that will thin calking.

Acetone doesn't work for Parfix silicone from bunnings in Australia. It could be silicone is wrong but I tend to believe that Acetone is not god for the silicone.

@MrDux311 Не вздумай. Если надо будет красить или чем то обработать, ничто к такому покрытию не прилипает. И оно не смывается, даже химией. Если только растворителем вместе с лаком
Хорошая идея для покраски деревянных домов, лавок , оконных рам , беседка, деревянные вагонки, а если это дерево из дуба то вообще на века!!

Every mix is gonna be different. Products that can go by generic names are not going to be production consistent. And that includes the mechanics of production. Change anything and you change everything. That's Newtonian physics.

Приветствую земляка! Метод рабочий, 6 лет назад использовал. Восстанавливал герметичность сапоги-забродники, наносил на внутреннюю поверхность. Концентрацию использовал более сильную, густую - наносил кистью. Не каждый герметик растворяется, тот который с запахом уксуса походит для этого. Без запаха не растворялся разными видами растворителя и уайт-спирта. Для исключения промахов нанесения на поверхность, лучше использовать белый или цветной герметик (если это возможно).
@@Andrey_R ну оно без условно работает, но если надо что то по мелочи то можно немного замешать. А вот при больших обьемах бессмысленно даже в плане цены т.к. есть подобные смеси заводского изготовления и если не ошибаюсь то рублей 350 за 2 кг стоит
