    I liked this I guess because straightforward. I used heavier DBs then 3 lbs. I think this is HILARIOUS knowing how we know Kelli now...she smiles, chats and is involved with you now...growth. She is LIVELY now! LOL! :D

    You don't want to do the same workout over and over or else it will become less effective. Mix & match with our 100+ other full length workouts, & go check out our 8 Week Fat Loss Program that puts all of our workouts into a day by day schedule.

    @SuperBurrito88 Yes, of course! There is really no such thing as a male or female workout. We've got all the same muscle groups (pretty much) and we should all be working them in a similar way (the only big difference is for special populations such as pregnant women, which guys don't have to worry about!). This would be a great workout for guys - we also have much harder ones, if you search our website videos library (all free), let me know what you think! -Kelli

  • @fitnessblender
    @fitnessblender  Před 12 lety

    This is definitely our easiest upper body workout by far. Check out any of the ones that have Daniel in them - there is an upper body mass building one, many different dumbbell ones, and also more difficult upper body workouts that use bodyweight. Just search here in our workout playlist or you can go to our website & search videos by body part & training style. Thanks for the creds! :)

  • @fitnessblender
    @fitnessblender  Před 12 lety

    Aim for some kind of cardio 5-7 days a week and strength training/toning 3-5 days a week (alternating muscle groups if you workout 5 days a week so that they get a chance to heal).

    Just keep reminding yourself, it takes a little practice. It can be hard to remember to do it while you are doing a challenging exercise, a plank for example, but just make it a priority in terms of good form & it will start to stick after a while.

    Thank You FitnessBlender, for the wonderful upper body workout. I try to do this workout routine three times a week to gain some muscles and strength in the upper region, and I have seen the wonderful results in 2 weeks. It is a perfect workout with stretching in the end.
    Can you please make a video on a workout routine with a diet plan for reducing a "Pear Shaped" figure.
    Thank you!

  • @fitnessblender
    @fitnessblender  Před 12 lety

    No, with little body fat you may quickly be able to see toning results. Keep up the good work!

  • @fitnessblender
    @fitnessblender  Před 12 lety +1

    An overall reduction in body fat % and/or bodyweight is necessary for getting rid of any fat. This helps tone & build lean muscle, which burns calories & helps you get/stay lean. Start doing regular cardio, strength training & healthy eating & you will get there.

    This would be a great workout for that. We have many other upper body workouts that will help as well, check them out!

  • @fitnessblender
    @fitnessblender  Před 12 lety

    The best things you can do is to mix up our free workouts so that you are doing strength/toning routines for the upper body 2x/week, lower 2x/week abs 2x/week, and at least 20 mins cardio on most days. You can start to see changes in your body in 2-3 weeks - small ones, but they will become more noticeable as you go. :)

  • @fitnessblender
    @fitnessblender  Před 12 lety

    It does help with the.....girls ;) And no, women have a really hard time - have to intentionally try - to build mass with their muscle. This will work well for you, and I also recommend the 5x5x5 upper body workout, one of my favorites.

  • @fitnessblender
    @fitnessblender  Před 12 lety

    We try! Thank you :)

  • @fitnessblender
    @fitnessblender  Před 12 lety

    If you are wanting to build fat burning muscle (which you should!) you should try and start working yourself up to a weight heavier than 2 lbs. In these videos I use an adjustable dumbbell or kettlebell and the weight I use for each routine and/or exercise is different. The weight that you lift will be purely based on your own strengths; aim for a weight that makes it very difficult to complete the last few reps, without sacrificing the integrity or proper form of the exercise.

  • @fitnessblender
    @fitnessblender  Před 12 lety

    Because your hands are set so wide during a push up, the placement of the feet (how far apart they are) doesn't matter as much. Do what is most comfortable for you.

  • @fitnessblender
    @fitnessblender  Před 12 lety

    Choose a weight that makes it challenging to do the last 2-3 reps. Once it starts to feel easy at that weight, bump up the weight that you are lifting.

    Focus on upper body routines that will strengthen your pecs and striatus - things like pullovers, pull downs, seated low rows, ect, would help with the striatus. Happy you are seeing results!

    I have the same body type, if 3 is what you can do then do 3, eventually you will build enough strength to do 4-5, give it time. Your body will tell you your getting stronger, always listen to your body.

    Hey, I'm preparing for a competition that requires stamina and upper body strength. I weigh about 120lbs and I have a slim physique. Any tips on what type of workout I should do? (Preferably the ones you can do at home because I'm at home most of the time) I'm thinking about improving my stamina and upper body strength and make full use of my agility to get through several levels of the competition. Please advice. Also, please include tips on how to effectively cool down after the strain.

    @fitnessblender  Před 12 lety

    We would need a lot more info from you to build a proper nutrition plan. We do that for people but it takes time & private counsel - let us know if you are interested. Your workout plan sounds good but you didn't say anything about working your lower body - you need to work that into your schedule at least 2 days a week. Men can put on about 2 pounds a month, things that tell you more than that (supplements, etc) are pulling your leg & trying to make a sale.

      +Rachana Kataram I'm not a doctor, but I don't think you should be concerned. My shoulder pops when I do FitnessBlender workouts sometimes, too. It may just be because your shoulder isn't used to moving like that. As long as it doesn't hurt, it shouldn't be a problem. Take care! :)

    Nope, not smaller - perkier. Boobs are fat (they can get smaller when you lose body fat), but there is muscle underneath them and you want that muscle to strong enough to hold the fat part up and help it maintain shape!
