I am a runner with a sore foot... can't walk very far... I have been searching the net and found this group of videos for upper body.. Great workout.. Thanks
I liked this I guess because straightforward. I used heavier DBs then 3 lbs. I think this is HILARIOUS knowing how we know Kelli now...she smiles, chats and is involved with you now...growth. She is LIVELY now! LOL! :D
This is one of my favorite workout vids. I appreciate the clear instruction and simple format. I combine various Fitness Blender videos for different goals. Thanks so much for making them.
You don't want to do the same workout over and over or else it will become less effective. Mix & match with our 100+ other full length workouts, & go check out our 8 Week Fat Loss Program that puts all of our workouts into a day by day schedule.
@laceyryan1111 We don't do that because everyone has different fitness goals and training preferences. If you want a structured plan, you can consider buying our 8 Week Body Makeover Boot Camp (on our website) or purchasing personal training sessions with us.
+Sara Kjeldsen I agree as well. This is my 2nd time and I'm already doing pushups much easier. I thought it was in my head but your comment reassured me.
@SuperBurrito88 Yes, of course! There is really no such thing as a male or female workout. We've got all the same muscle groups (pretty much) and we should all be working them in a similar way (the only big difference is for special populations such as pregnant women, which guys don't have to worry about!). This would be a great workout for guys - we also have much harder ones, if you search our website videos library (all free), let me know what you think! -Kelli
Thank you, my coach told me to work on my upper body fitness so I can climb my poles. I go to All Sports Fitness Center for the gymnastics class,I hope to be in the olympics soon!!! -A Gymnast :)
Really like this Upper Body workout, doing it twice a week, found it hard to find any Upper Body workouts, but this is is perfect, thank you : ) Big fan of yours, do the 37 minute workout all the time and the Ad workouts and others also, keep it up!! (Fan from West of Ireland)
This is one of our easier ones. If you want something harder all you have to do is carouse one of our other 115+ free full length workouts; try one of our HIIT routines or bump up the weight you are lifting.
This is definitely our easiest upper body workout by far. Check out any of the ones that have Daniel in them - there is an upper body mass building one, many different dumbbell ones, and also more difficult upper body workouts that use bodyweight. Just search here in our workout playlist or you can go to our website & search videos by body part & training style. Thanks for the creds! :)
Aim for some kind of cardio 5-7 days a week and strength training/toning 3-5 days a week (alternating muscle groups if you workout 5 days a week so that they get a chance to heal).
You're the best! Thank you so much, your videos are amazing and very helpful! I'am doing yours workouts for like one year now and i have great results!
thank you for such great videos..esp for the 1z who can't make it to the gym...these videos are not advanced which is good..keep up the excellent work!!!
Just keep reminding yourself, it takes a little practice. It can be hard to remember to do it while you are doing a challenging exercise, a plank for example, but just make it a priority in terms of good form & it will start to stick after a while.
Thank You FitnessBlender, for the wonderful upper body workout. I try to do this workout routine three times a week to gain some muscles and strength in the upper region, and I have seen the wonderful results in 2 weeks. It is a perfect workout with stretching in the end. Can you please make a video on a workout routine with a diet plan for reducing a "Pear Shaped" figure. Thank you!
An overall reduction in body fat % and/or bodyweight is necessary for getting rid of any fat. This helps tone & build lean muscle, which burns calories & helps you get/stay lean. Start doing regular cardio, strength training & healthy eating & you will get there.
The best things you can do is to mix up our free workouts so that you are doing strength/toning routines for the upper body 2x/week, lower 2x/week abs 2x/week, and at least 20 mins cardio on most days. You can start to see changes in your body in 2-3 weeks - small ones, but they will become more noticeable as you go. :)
It does help with the.....girls ;) And no, women have a really hard time - have to intentionally try - to build mass with their muscle. This will work well for you, and I also recommend the 5x5x5 upper body workout, one of my favorites.
If you are wanting to build fat burning muscle (which you should!) you should try and start working yourself up to a weight heavier than 2 lbs. In these videos I use an adjustable dumbbell or kettlebell and the weight I use for each routine and/or exercise is different. The weight that you lift will be purely based on your own strengths; aim for a weight that makes it very difficult to complete the last few reps, without sacrificing the integrity or proper form of the exercise.
Because your hands are set so wide during a push up, the placement of the feet (how far apart they are) doesn't matter as much. Do what is most comfortable for you.
Choose a weight that makes it challenging to do the last 2-3 reps. Once it starts to feel easy at that weight, bump up the weight that you are lifting.
Another awesome training video. I like that I could increase weight or reps along the way making this workout a really great starting point for getting into shape. Thanks Sensei Kelli. You are the best! ( Performs dogeza)
Focus on upper body routines that will strengthen your pecs and striatus - things like pullovers, pull downs, seated low rows, ect, would help with the striatus. Happy you are seeing results!
I have the same body type, if 3 is what you can do then do 3, eventually you will build enough strength to do 4-5, give it time. Your body will tell you your getting stronger, always listen to your body.
You might be stretching your forearm too much. Try starting with your arm at a 45 degree angle from the wall (instead of a 90). You might also benefit from stretching your wrists.
Hey, I'm preparing for a competition that requires stamina and upper body strength. I weigh about 120lbs and I have a slim physique. Any tips on what type of workout I should do? (Preferably the ones you can do at home because I'm at home most of the time) I'm thinking about improving my stamina and upper body strength and make full use of my agility to get through several levels of the competition. Please advice. Also, please include tips on how to effectively cool down after the strain.
hi fitness blender. does this 20min upper body workout improves muscle or burns fat? i want to burn my fat and loose arm wing, i don't need big muscle. Pls reply me as soon as possible! thanks.
We would need a lot more info from you to build a proper nutrition plan. We do that for people but it takes time & private counsel - let us know if you are interested. Your workout plan sounds good but you didn't say anything about working your lower body - you need to work that into your schedule at least 2 days a week. Men can put on about 2 pounds a month, things that tell you more than that (supplements, etc) are pulling your leg & trying to make a sale.
+Rachana Kataram I'm not a doctor, but I don't think you should be concerned. My shoulder pops when I do FitnessBlender workouts sometimes, too. It may just be because your shoulder isn't used to moving like that. As long as it doesn't hurt, it shouldn't be a problem. Take care! :)
Ok thanks. :-) Im using 2 lb weights, is that ok? And do i have to switch to heavier weights and if so when? Im just real confused bout how strength training works
Nope, not smaller - perkier. Boobs are fat (they can get smaller when you lose body fat), but there is muscle underneath them and you want that muscle to strong enough to hold the fat part up and help it maintain shape!
will this workout help me to get rid of batwings n reduce arm mass if i did it with intense cardio or u recommend any else........i jzt wana reduce ma arm mass over all ma uper iz in vry god shp.....
I like that feeling during that exercise, too! Thank you for supporting us by watching our videos.
10 years later and this workout is still keeping me in shape. You guys are the best
Glad you like it, and we love referrals! Word of mouth really helps us out. Thank you for watching & for helping us spread the word.
Love this workout. Great upper body work out. Started with 3 lb weights now doing 4lb.
@emojki2008 We have many cardio workouts & more on the way. Go to our website & look under "Full Length Workout Videos", & select "Cardio".

I haven't done this workout in years. It's awesome!
I LOVE The Fitness Blender Workouts!!! Thanks
Thank you for the feedback, glad you liked it!
The pull I felt in my stomach with the dumbbell pullover felt great. I love your videos. Thanks.
Its really a nice easy and effective workout.
Very good workout for upper body toning. I can already do pushups easier and this is my second time. :)
+Sara Kjeldsen I agree as well. This is my 2nd time and I'm already doing pushups much easier. I thought it was in my head but your comment reassured me.

Love this workout (especially the stretching afterwards). Love you guys!
@RickyNDawn Can you manually enter a workout's calories? If you go to our website, you can find out how many calories each routine burns.
thank you for such great videos..esp for the 1z who can't make it to the gym...these videos are not advanced which is good..keep up the excellent work!!!
@brenda12413 No, you could use resistance bands or anything with a little weight to it-or nothing at all, depending on your fitness level.
Just finished workout, This was very nice and well done. Good stretching at end. I will definitely be letting people know about this site.
Nice workout to begin my day.
Just keep reminding yourself, it takes a little practice. It can be hard to remember to do it while you are doing a challenging exercise, a plank for example, but just make it a priority in terms of good form & it will start to stick after a while.
Your workout videos are fantastic I Love how you go through all the rounds with us and even added that stretch loveee it (:
Awesome advice.
This was fantastic you guys!!

No, with little body fat you may quickly be able to see toning results. Keep up the good work!
An overall reduction in body fat % and/or bodyweight is necessary for getting rid of any fat. This helps tone & build lean muscle, which burns calories & helps you get/stay lean. Start doing regular cardio, strength training & healthy eating & you will get there.
I love all your workout. It's great to do at home and I can feel it burn.
This would be a great workout for that. We have many other upper body workouts that will help as well, check them out!

Keeping Fit Awesome daily routine!!!
@lesagatson21 Ha! Well I am glad you see the bigger picture :) Sore muscles, for the most part, just mean the workouts you're doing are working!
I wish you the best ! Keep working hard.
Workout #30 Done!!!!!!!
good
This is so great thank you so much for posting!!

I would recommend checking your form if you are not feeling it, as it is likely that you are not doing the exercises correctly if you don't feel it.
This video is so helpful thank you for posting
Thank you, right back @ ya!
Wow guys I'm an 11 year old and I did this its gonna burn tomorrow
Yep you can lift things other than dumbbells. Water bottles, cans of soup, books, kittens, whatever works.... :)
You can but I would recommend using them :)
You might be stretching your forearm too much. Try starting with your arm at a 45 degree angle from the wall (instead of a 90). You might also benefit from stretching your wrists.
I have scoliosis so I had to take a break after each exercise to check in with my body, but it seems to have went okay! :)
Yep, very well.
No frills. Solid.
It's completely dependent on your own strength. Aim to use a weight that really challenges you by the last few reps.
Should I do a warm up and stretch before doing this or can i just start the workout. And if i should, is there one you recommend I do?
Awesome workout

My left shoulder keeps popping when I do overhead presses...it doesn't hurt, but should I be worried? Thank you!
