- Did you know about this mistake in Harry Potter ? when Hagrid was explaining to Harry how his parents died, we can clearly see that Lily was wearing a purple sweater when she was killed by Voldemort, However when jumping to the Deathly Hallows Part 2 especially during Snape’s memories. We can see that Lily was wearing something blue before she died. And even in the scene when Snpae was hugging her dead body, it becomes very obvious that Lily is now wearing a blue sweater instead of purple.

Severus, purple is a mix of 2 colours, and we have 3 colour receptors in our eyes(normally) which detect magenta, yellow, and cyan. Therefore without the red, we will see things without the reddish element

Hagrid wasn't there and when he got there the house was destroyed and she was dead, so his memories are likely made using some of his final times seeing them alive whereas Snape actually saw her and the home. We don't even know if haggrid had been to the house before their deaths or not. So he could be filling in the blanks of the home. There will be a reason behind it.

I'm sorry but thats not a mistake, its a brilliant detail. Hagrids memorys are based on things he has been told, so things like a shirts colour could not be accurate. Snapes memorys details are correct coz he was there, so everything in his memory is exactly how it was.
Dude when Hagrid was explaining to Harry he was telling him the thing it was from Hagrid's mind that lily might have wored purple sweater and in snape's scene then lily was actually wearing blue sweater

And how its a different type of sweater (the blue one is more like a smock/dress with leggings) , she's aged 10 years between scenes (obviously due to films being made so far apart but come on! Lily was 21 when she died and Geraldine Somerville was in her thirties in the first film anyway!) , the nursery is different and the house itself is also different 🙄
Some things I love so much about the films, like Alan Rickman's acting and the gorgeous Hogwarts castle sets, but others just had no love or attention to detail. Like the new director went "sod continuity from film one, let's dress Lily differently and put her in a different house I doubt anyone will notice or care"

When Hagrid was explaining how Harry’s parents died we can see that lily’s hair is straight but in the deathly hollows/snapes memories her hair is curly

Something that also doesn’t make sense with this scene is where she is at the door with Harry in her arms, she shuts the door infront of Voldemort, goes over to the crib still with Harry in her arms as Voldemort breaks down the door. But there is a scene where she talks with Harry in the crib about being “safe and strong” then Voldemort kills her in 2 different ways, when she is near Harry’s crib, and then when she is near the doorway.
Maybe he shot her twice?

I think maybe the clothes didn't fit anymore or went missing since you must remember this was filmed years later in 2011 while the one she was wearing was a different thing in the first movie was made in 2001. So either the clothes didn't fit and were out of stock or the clothes went missing over the years
James told her to take harry and leave but she was changing her dress before leaving without realizing how serious the situation was, so she died😅

So nobody can know how that room or sweater looks like (except Snape, police and coroner). I always saw this scene as like hagrid didn’t know all in detail about the death like the clothes or what they had said to Harry, possibly not having hagrid seeing the scene and with snape he saw lily’s body cuz he saw the scene but it’s just a thing I’ve always thought of idk for sure

It even seems like 10 years later in the reanactment she had some blonde highlights in her hair as well!

The other mistaken these Harry Potter films is the age of the actors vs. The age of the characters in the book. The age of Lily and James at the time of their death is 21 years old. The actors that play Snake, Lily and James do not look anything near 21.
